I signed and submitted my name, don't know if it will help but every name on the list counts I guess. I always thought the cause would be so much further along if some mainstream media outlet found the desire to push it further. Some big name like Peter Jennings or someone that could manage to encourage the general public to support the idea, even a few segments on 20/20, Dateline or 60 minutes just to bring out the awareness of how important this cause is. Then maybe some names from people outside the boxing circle would jump aboard to pressure the politicians.

Right now in New York State all the big wigs are arguing over the right for illeagle immigrants to get drivers licenses spending millions arguing the case. All we are asking is for some guys who earn a living honestly to have some security for the future. It's amazing what these guys deem good causes?

I am not trying to get in your business No Contest but I see that not to many people have replied to this thread. At first I was not going to look at it either because it was vague with only do your part. (Curiosity got the better of me ;D) Is there any way you can add sign reform petiton here to the title?

Like I said I am not trying to get anything started by butting in your business I am a new guy around here but I think this is pretty important, like Preme said it would be nice to sticky this. Just a suggestion.

CC for anyone that signs it or posts in this thread. Its time we do something, rather than waiting for someone else to take up the cause. Every signature helps, if we can get some recognition from the promoters and Boxing organizations, maybe they will realize that this is a big issue with fans not just retired boxers. They want to keep the fans happy, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so to speak. Thanks if you took the time to fill the petition out, it only takes about 5 minutes of your time if that.

CC. NoContest for posting this. These guys have been doing a lot for retired boxers for years and I think that everyone should sign the petition.

CC BoomBoom , I was looking at the names of people signing and saw Emile Griffith and Kevin Kelley in there, wonder if its really them. I think the system they are proposing is do-able. I wouldnt even mind if the $1 gets added to ticket price, they raise the prices all the time anyway. This way everyone gets out with some security, not just the big name fighters. The real obstacle is regulating payouts and determining what will each different fighter deserves.

I heard from the organization that started this petition and they cant believe how few people have taken the 2 seconds to sign this petition that can change boxing for the better. I just checked to see how many have signed it thinking there would be well over 1500 by now and sadly only 306 had signed. If anyone on here takes the time to post but cant take the time to sign this petition than you should stop watching boxing and leave this forum. Thats how I feel about it. And to those who have signed, you are TRUE boxing fans.

I'm amazed myslef at how theirs been so few people who have taken the time to do this.

Im ashamed as a boxing fan, I thought it would be a mandatory thing. Immediately when I saw this I had to sign it. I dont know how many people come to this site daily but I hoped more would have signed by now....

Thats a great idea man, I would think that some of the other forums possibly havnt heard about the petition or like you said are lazy pricks and havnt posted it or signed it. 400 is not much at all when you think about it there will be tens of thousands of people at the Cotto-Mosley fight, it is a damn shame. cc.
