Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I'll take Chambers on points, I guess. This fight don't interest me to much. But I'll watch it
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I also voted Eddie points.
I think Brock just doesnt have it in him to go back out there and win. On the other hand Eddies hungry and looks to be ready for the challenge.
To think that Chambers vs. Povetkin can possibly happen is just great.
2 top prospects take on eachother for a shot at the top dawg!
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I'll take Chambers on points too. But I think this is a really evenly matched fight. I hope it's a good one!
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Chambers UD, too much speed for Brock, however what may be working in Brock's favor is the lack of power
that Chambers has. Brock could very well take him out in the later rounds. Could actually be an interesting
fight, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I'll be the odd man out and say k.o. by Brock late. Honestly, only seen Chambers fight twice and I've liked Brock for a few years, so just fanboy hope I guess ::**
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
chambers is gonna KTFO him
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I like both of these guys. Eddie is a small fast heavyweight who kind of reminds me of how heavyweights were in the Floyd Patterson era, Guys like Zora Foley etc.
I am a fan Of Calvin Brock though, he has something to prove after the Wlad loss. Then again he may not want the win all that much knowing what comes next. Eddie Chambers is not going to fare much better if he faces Wlad either.
This bout should be billed as "The Sacrificial Lamb Showdown"
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
I'm gonna go for Brock late on in the fight too, because I still think he's a force at heavyweight, and seems to carry more power than Chambers from what little I've seen of them both. The main difference is that we know Brock can get beaten, and so far it hasn't happened to Chambers, so you never really know what he's got in the tank until he's called to use it all up.

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Might give this a look if it's on sopcast...anyone no???

Nah you're not the odd man out I too share your optimism.
Brock has weighed in at a massive 241 lbs not sure yet if that is a good or bad thing.
Chambers is 215 I think and about 20 lbs of that is just fat, I really think he could make light heavy if he was totally ripped.
A Brock late KO isn't out of the question but I say his power tells, not enough to KO Chambers but enough to win him the late rounds.
I'm suprised at the lack of faith people have got in Brock after just one loss and that to Wladimir.
Chambers hasn't beaten anyone apart from an NFL player and Dominic Guinn, but lets be fair every fighter of note beats Dominic Guinn. If he hadn't he would be joining Audley Harrison on the dung heap so a points win over Guinn doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Brock is 241 pounds?! :o
I like Brock and hope he wins, but he is sure carrying a barrel there.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Brock 241... hope he can puch harder hes wanna my favorite fighters of to day
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Its not Calzaghe-Kessler but its decent level boxing on a Friday night, sounds good to me.
I'll go with Chambers on points. Might be influenced by the fact that I have no interest in seeing Brock-Klitschko 2.

Damn, 241 ??? WTF? I can't wait for this fight for some reason{maybe just to keep me occupied before tomorrow night} ;D I always liked Brock after watching him and McCline almost 3 years ago.

You just soured my belly, Mick.
I'm taking Brock because I think he has enough hand speed to trade with Chambers and enough power to send a message. Also, I think Chambers gave a so-so performance against Guinn who just stood around looking tough most of the fight.
I just can't like Eddie Chambers no matter how hard I try.

I think what you say will play out very early on in the fight but IMO as the rounds go bye Eddie will begin to win rounds more convincingly.

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Eddies been sparring with Chazz Witherspoon and Tony Thompson. I think that will help him alot training for Brock. If Eddie gets through the first few rounds it should be his fight from mid to late in the fight.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Chambers UD
I don't think Brock has the power to knock him out, and Chambers is a pretty active fighter, which should allow him to rack up rounds.

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Cards about to get started right now.
1st up
Josesito Lopez vs. Tyron Harris.
Josesito win via TKO. Josesitos handspeed will cause Tyron lots of trouble.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Damn! both guys throwing lots of punches.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Is this on Sopcast guys?

-
RBR for Brock/Chambers: My virgin attempt at RBR

-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Tyrone loosing his cool there shoved Lopez with his forearm.
1-0 for Lopez
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2
Legion you can do your thing here.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
Yet more dirty tactics from Tyrone.
2-0 for Lopez on my card.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
Why is Lopez not throwing more combinations?

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
I don't know why he doesn't throw the jab more; a little sloppy getting in.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
rd. 4 Lopez throwing more he needs to stay busy he flurries and then he stands there and looks at Tyrone.
Even with that said that's still more then what Tyrones doing.
clean sweep
4-0 for Lopez

He needs to put punches together.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
I'm gonna have to give this round to Tyrone.
Lopez waited for too long and landed less then Tyrone.
4-1 for Lopez
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
Low blow by Tyrone.
Ref. deducts a point.
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
Even round 9-9....
Tyrones landed a big left hand if he let's his hands go something tells me he'd hurt Lopez.
4-1 with 1 even. For Lopez
-
Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
The best round of the fight, both fighters throwing and trading punches.
Gonna give this round to Tyrone.
4-2 with 1 even. For Lopez

Re: Calvin Brock vs. Eddie Chambers IBF Eliminator #2 (Rd. by Rd. / Chat)
Nick Charles is smoked out.
Lopez Imo looks a little "watching the clock" for me!
