I didn't forget and to be honest I was getting ready to make a thread about it. You're too quick for me ;D
I did a search last night when I created the Chambers vs. Brock thread to see if their was a thread already made but I fell asleep and never got around to making it.
Good thing you did...
I care about JMM. I think Juarez is gonna start off well that'll be due to the fact that JMM is somewhat a slow starter.
Juarez IMO is gonna fight a come forward fight and will probably try to impose himself on JMM.
Cause I sure as hell hope Juarez is not thinking about out boxing JMM.... ???
Should be a good fight.
Juarez has gotta know that this is his last big shot - actually not sure why I said that considering he seems to be one of those guys that gets shot after shot after shot.
Allright forget that, lets just say hypothetically Juarez knows this is his last shot, it would really be dissapointing if he just plodded around and threw one punch at a time every forty five seconds or so. Not saying he should turn into Juan Diaz but he's gotta be more active.
I'm semi interested in Guerrero-Honorio, just don't like Guerrero, always root against him.
Ouma you and I are on the same boat.Quote:

Marquez: Juarez is small fry compared to Calzaghe: Kessler really.
Juarez has shown how he can be beat. A number of times! Marquez will probably do the same.
It holds little interest to me.
Yeah I went with Guerrero too even though I didn't want too. I just haven't seen that much of Honorio to be honest. I know he beat Luevano, didn't see it though. Couple other guys too but I think I've only seen him once and I don't remember too much about him. Seems solid enough but gotta go with Guerrero.Quote:

Glad there is some interest. All boxing=good boxing(for me anyway!).
I honestly have a strong disliking of Juarez. For such an accomplished amatuer,he is a poor poor fighter. He is with Ronny Shields now so maybe he will let his hands go more but I would be HUGELY dissappoiinted if JMM lost. JMM does NOT need to come forward as he has been doing in his last few fights. He just needs to counter and he'll win easy. If he comes froward,he risks getting hit with Rockys only decent punch at all imo, that big left hook.
I was about to choose Honorio too, because I don't rate Guerrero at all if I'm honest. Honorio also has beaten another southpaw in Luevano so I don't know. It'll be a good fight.
Thanks for assuring me that I wasn't hallucinating about this fight, El Gamo... As good as he may be, I thinks Juarez doesn't have got much chance here. It just a matther of match-up and imo his style perfectly suits that of Marquez'. Who knows, he might surprise us though, but ... naw, most likely not.
cc CutMeMick..... you've always been a good guy, thanks for saying happy b-day too. :'(
haha, enough of that though... we gotta great fight weekend guys!

I'm watching this fight ONLY for JMM.
I don't care for his "opponent" anymore, because that's how he fights...
like an "opponent" and not a true challenger.
Hope JMM can help secure a promising matchup with The Destroyah Pacquiao. :)

A big, big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you. Hope you enjoy that fight... and 'hope Marquez beat the heck out of Pacman some day' - but that's just for your birthday though. Haha. ;)Quote:

Juarez may have went to the drawing board and figured out a few new things? Like I said I am not predicting a win for Juarez but a good bout all in all. 2007 is without a doubt a great year to be a fan of boxing. For a fight of this caliber to be almost overlooked that says things can't get much better if we tried.
Marquez is Getting to or is on the other side of the hill but Anyone who wants to see a master technician and all around ring general should watch Him at any chance they get.I do believe he'll really do a number on Juarez and really bust him up.Saving a hellacios Juarez onslaught...Unlikely.
HBO is very determined to get Juarez in the Champion status category but how many continuous shots does a guy get?Nice enough guy but I personally have not seen alot of significant Improvements be it in losses To Soto,or Barrera. He really needs to bring the pain and crank that left hook AND Rt.If he tries to box Marquez he'll be cut to shreds IMO.
Not to offend but I hope Guerrero gets treated to a Salido like loss.IMO.....He is a dirty fighter and the true definition of a title "holder".

Guerrero is a guy I don't like myself, I think once he faces Lineres, Juarez ( who is actually a ranked FW) or Chris John he will be either KO'd or given a true education then fade off into the land of 15min famers
How can I Not heap a Big ol' CC on you newbie BodyPuncher for that?Quote:

The thing I fear the most are those Marquez cuts he's sustained in past.
I hope Juarez knocks him out But I would bet On Marquez by UD.
Haven't forgotten it...but in the shadow of Calzaghe vs Kessler...the one fight that I've wanted for the past 2 years...Marquez vs Juarez is pretty much laughable.Quote:

I agree man,I totally agree. Just like Lacy became this over rated bum(when 90% of the people saying that chose him to win in the first place),the same will happen with JC. If he wins via split decision, they'll say Kess should have won. If he wins via KO,Kess was over rated. There is no winning for JC other than by the true fans who will give him(Or Kess, whoever wins),the credit they deserve.Quote:

Anyways I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT FOR KESSLER CALZAGNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,can't believe i'm excited about a frank warren event :(
;D ahaha
Unfortunately no one just accepts the victories or defeats for just what they are, wins and losses. I want Kess to win, but it won't ruin me if he doesn't. I just want this show to start and may the best overhyped guy win ;D I'm very interested to see where these guys go after this fight, as I see Kess being busy next year, win or lose. Who knows what Joe's plans are ???
I 'm gonna watch this fight too, after Calzaghe vs. Kessler. Gotta go with Marquez by a UD. He is gonna outbox Juarez silly IMO. Juarez just plods forward loading up on that right hand and occasional left hook. He's pretty one-dimensional. Marquez on the other hand is a master boxer and will light Juarez up with lead left uppercuts and counters all night.
...last pre-fight thought on this match...
I hope Marquez will come out strong in this fight. As laughable as it may sound to many, I think Marquez has what it takes to KO Juarez. As I've said, Juarez' style is tailor-made for Marquez, because first, he is shorter and probably has shorter reach too (correct me if I'm wrong) and second, Juarez only knows how to fight an inside fight - keep him outside and he's done. So I hope Marquez would keep on pounding him and in the end, put him into submission. I want him to finish this fight strong and sort of make a strong statement that he is the one, so he can rightfully claim the equal or bigger :-\ purse he has been demanding to fight pac. If not, and he persist in demanding an equal or bigger prize money than pac claiming he is the owner of ever important piece of leather strap with a big 'empty' word 'champion' on it, the fight will never happen...
...or maybe I'm underestimating Juarez. It's because most fighters usually fights the same way throughout their carreer. They usually establish their style somewhere in their carreer and usually stick to it unless they have a good trainer, and sometimes, boxers are as good as their trainers. So who knows, he might just spring a surprise in this fight and give Marquez a tough time. But winning... hmmm.

Guerrero v Juarez>?!? I'd be rooting for Guerrero! I REALLY dislike Rocky. Plus Guerrero showed a real warriors attitude, the week his wife is diagnosed with luekaemia,he still fights. I totally respect that.Quote:
