Although I'm not qualified to give you advice on nutrition I think some kind of response is needed so your post doesn't dissapear unanswered. From what I have read your age would not be a problem, the only thing I would say is do you really need it? if you provided some details of your workload, diet, goals etc, it might provide the necessary for someone suitably qualified to help you decide if protein or indeed any kind of supplement is for you.
where do u buy them and which ones? ???
thanks memphis :coolclick: for the advice but what do you mean when you say what are your goals?
were the hell have ya been scottswald whats up man

Good luck with that
As a proffesional Estate Manager, it is my job to know peoples goals. Not just for their own good, but for my convenience too.
What do you want to achieve, an achievement will be targeted as a goal.
If your goal is to gain 10 pounds of muscle in 6 weeks, or whatever, that is a goal.
So, what are they?
Its always best to get your protein and nutrients from real foods
are you trying to sell me something :spongebob:
i just stareted at my gym last friday and got home about two hours ago
if you are an athlete, you need protein. i reccommend Pro Complex from Optimum Nutrition. it has added digestive enzymes, which helps you absorb the nutrients, as well as glutamine (which helps you recover, and if you have a low nutritional store of it (from training), you get sick easier). it is probably the best. protein IS a natural thing, it's not dangerous for anyone 10 or older, at lowest, to use protein supplements. depending on how much you absorb, protein supplements generally have a better quality.
by the way, cooking eggs increases it's protein bioavailability, how absorbable it is, as well as it's quality.
Yea, if ur working out you need extra protein. I take protein shakes and they help build muscle extremly well.
Everyone has there own opinions, but mine is that mucletech products are the best out there. For protein, Nitrotech, and for creatine, Celltech. Those are the ones I have the best gains with.
If possible try and eat 'proper' food, more lean protein like chicken and fish. That would be my first choice. Small medium sized meals work best, stop you getting hungry and stop your muscles starving.
Shakes are convenient and you get a high dose of protein with them. On the down side they can upset your stomach and hurt your wallet ;)
Like Luke says there are many brands, he likes Muscletech, I like EAS so each to their own taste.
Can't complain about EAS, that's old school baby O0 I was taking that when I was a soph in highschool! Never really used their protein supplements, I just used plain old whey. But then celltech came out.. and that stuff is just ungodly. I wanna try NO2 sometime, whenever I can afford it, which will be awhile since my daughter will be making her arrival to the world any day now...

yeah if you don't train they can make you fat
Well there are a lot of variables too counter act weight (muscle) gain and these include but are not limited too your diet, stress, routine, program, cardio work etcQuote:

ive never trained with protein shakes i just orderd one since i hear every one saying its a good thing for muscel bilding... i wonder do u see the effects of this shakes fast?if so, in about how many weeks..:P just curius :>
it does work but i think that you're gonna be disapointed coz you obviously need to work, i would imagine that it would be no problem but it is not that fast it only speeds muscle growth up a bit but have no doubt about it, it definatly works if you put the time in :)
depends, on how you train, how hard you train, when you try, what your bodies like to begin with, your diet.metabolism, how well your body can recover from training and if you take them properly.Quote:

Right before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon about all thses protein shakes the first thing you would need to do is sort out your diet first! Once your diet is sorted then start taking protein SUPPLEMENTS to SUPPLEMENT your diet! When you use it them is important is well! The best times to take them is first thing in the morning with skimmed milk and one straight after your workout with water (faster absorbition)!
what kind of things should i be eating ?
as my deit is not very good for me mainly junk food, i am 17 6tf4" and weight 11 1/2 stone.
damn, you're quite skinny ;)Quote:
