Ice can I ask why you hope this doesn't happen? They're 1-1 currently so a rubber match would be in order, or would you just like for felix to move onto other things, since castillejo cant move on to much more being 40...
'El Lince' has rightfuly earned his shot at the title why should he not get it?
Castillejo was impressive last night winning a WBA eliminator so earned his shot
I'd like to see it personally. When's that guy going to retire?
I think its legit Castillejo won the first by k.o. and Sturm won the second on points. Castillejo always has the chance to get the k.o. If you think thats bad what do you think about a rubber match between Miyagi and Jaca...two NC's from headbutts....man imagine the odds you could have gotten on that.
Seriously wtf is Felix Strum doing???
I mean he came over to the States got a worldwide audience watching him imo outbox Oscar, now what has he acutlly done since in them four years???
This guy should fight Abraham, cant see if being hard to sell and being a big $$$ earner for both, there both big in Germany so lets get it on!!!!
Funny thing that you mention AA here. Cause I'm a fan of AA but I'm also one of his biggest critics...Quote:

With that being said I think a AA vs. Sturm fight would be great, Sturm outboxing AA early and then AA bringing it on in the late rounds to stop Sturm.
I'm waiting for Javier to get old one night.
Anyway their styles match up to always be an exciting fight where Sturm will have trouble.
And Sturm has fallen off a lot since that De La Hoya fight, I think he squandered his talent fighting people who were two levels below him.
He needs to get better and fast if he wants to last in the top tier of his class.
Sturm will be another Sven Ottke but worse.
Yes he stopped the very tough Mariano Natalio Carrera who has had 3 fights outside Argentina ;DQuote:

That is the very same guy that already stopped Castillejo before he fought the Sturm rematch. Carrera's win was changed to a NC because he was exposed as a steroid cheat.Quote:

I haven't heard of Carrera before the first Castillejo match, but he is highly ranked:Quote:

It's not his fault that Castillejo won a title eliminator...Quote:

One more thing does he have to fight Castillejo or does he have a choice in the matter ??

He will fight him and most likely WANTS to. Sturm was ringside watching this fight. And if it wasn't Castillejo they were talking about rematching Griffin.Quote:

I've just checked Felix Sturms homepage and he will fight Castillejo in Summer(maybe july) next year...
But he will make a voluntary defense before that against Randy Griffin, who he fought only to a draw some weeks ago.He stated after that fight that he will give Griffin a rematch...The fight against Griffin
will most probably be in april next year...
Wow! surprised at this comment coming from you, really.Quote:

Masoe (Who you happen to take a crack at the other night when I listed him as possible comeback fight for Kess) TKO'd Ashira in 2 for the 'Regular' WBA title when Hops became 'Super Champ'.
Sturm beat Masoe thus becoming WBA Champ at the same time JT was striped of the 'Super Champ' title and that makes Sturm by default the only WBA Champ.
Castillejo knocks his ass out in 10 and becomes WBA Champ.
Carrera knocks Castillejo out in 11 but tested positive thus making the fight a NC and the WBA named Castillejo champ again rightfully so.
Castillejo gives Sturm a re-match and Sturm somewhat convincingly won a UD fight. It depends on how you score fights. I personally thought Sturm won it by 3 rounds.
The WBA orders an Eliminator bout between Carrera & Castillejo. Castillejo knocks his ass out in a thriller of a fight which I just finished watching and earns his shot at the title.
Hope this helps. ;D

Not all the time ;)
Im not saying he doesn't deserve it im just disappointed in Sturm Mick i was expecting good things from Sturm like i said earlier and he hasn't done anything since Oscar De La Hoya fight if Sturm beats Castillejo he doesn't get any credit and if he loses ?? well that could put his career in jeopardy i just see lose lose situation here.
He won't get any credit for beating Castillejo???Quote:

I think if Sturm can beat Castillejo soundly and well he'll get tones of credit and more important he'll be settling the score.
Sturm fucked himself by getting a draw against Griffin, that's what you should have been complaining about.
About the way he performed and how lathargic and tired he looked.
Not about this if anything this is the kind of win he needs.
Maybe you jumped the gun a litte when you posted this earlier.

I just don't think he will personally i will give him credit if he beats Castillejo its just Sturm is so frustrating i just don't see him moving forward in his career at all with this kind of attitude i think he will end up just like Ottke.

Imo he won't get much credit maybe from really hardcore boxing fans like you and i but not the rest.
Oh i have been Mick i was totally disappointed i have been disappointed in a long time with Sturm he even turned down a fight with Taylor remember that ?? and that would of been good chance for him but instead of that he has wasted 4 years.
Maybe you jumped the gun a litte when you posted this earlier.
Maybe its late here at the moment and im pretty tired but im just frustrated with Sturm do you understand ??
I think i'll sleep on it and comeback tommorow more fresher because i am tired at the moment and im not thinking straight at the moment.
Being a huge Sturm fan...I want to touch on this matter...as I did when it happened...& I want to defend Sturm now...as I did when it happened then.Quote:

Oddly enough...they listened to Sturm's promoters frustrations...so they moved it...where? To Memphis, Tennessee...where Ronald "Winky" Wright would take Sturm's place & go toe to toe to gut out a draw...a draw that most considered a win.
Sorry people...but Sturm's not the smoking turd that you all consider him to be...& negotiations for a title fight...when both men have a title each shouldn't be one sided.
I highly doubt that you would be gung-ho to put everything on the line & set yourself up for a replay...after being robbed in America once against one of HBO's darlings.
Think about it.

Well i didn't actually know that part of it all i heard was that Sturm turned fight down i didn't know the fight was going to take place in Taylor's hometown.
I am a big fan of Winky Wright, but I thought Taylor won this. Wright was lazy in the later rounds and shot himself in the foot. I agree with what you say about why Sturm didn't take the fight with Taylor though.Quote:

It's annoying, because he recently said he'd try to unify with Abraham, but instead has planned next year fighting Griffin (again) and Castillejo (again). I understand the WBA will force him to make the second fight, but surely he should be kicking on for a new opponent instead of fighting Griffin, a guy he should have beaten with ease in the first place.
