I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Anyone have an Idea who Floyd is sparring with to prepare for Hatton? I wonder if anyone he has got even can mimmic the kind of pressure Hatton brings
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
I already replied in the other post, but I think NDou is one of his sparring partners.
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Lovemore Ndou is the main sparring partner for Mayweather.
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Get Jesus Chavez in there too, he was pretty relentless when Mayweather fought him. Castillo wouldn't be a bad choice either all you need is money to convince him to come to training camp.

Exactly i said that months ago Chavez would be perfect.
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Chavez, Ndou and Castillo are alll too tall to mimic Hatton effectively and they don't operateas close in as Rick...
In my mind if they really wanted to take advantage they should get in Steve Forbes as he was training with Hatton before the Castillo fight...
21 Days left...There's only One Ricky Hatton!

Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
He'll need to spa with God if he wants to beat hatton ;D ;D ;D
Go on Hatton!

This is odd, you have exactly the same opinion as me on this fight. Haha ;D
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
....Hatton will put continuous pressure on but I am not so sure he's going to be successful in doing so.
I do like Ricky's spirit though and he's a guy who will run through walls to win a fight so Floyd had better bring his 'A Game'.
I sure as hell hope Floyd gets crushed sometime before he retires
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
How about Cotto...
I know it ain't happening but I look for any escuse to put these two in a ring together...
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
....Cotto wouldn't be a smart choice as a sparring partner for ANYONE

What do you mean Chavez is too tall ?? Chavez is 1 inch shorter than Hatton and does operate in close just like Hatton.

Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Well anyhow CC legion you just made me a happy man betting on Flyode and i hope it turns out like most out like most of your perdiction and if Floyde faces Cotto for the love of god i hope you do not bet on Cotto if that happens hell get knocked out in the first round.

CC back. Seriously, I don't know who I'd bet on in Cotto/Mayweather if it happened. I don't think I'd go as far as saying Cotto will k.o. Floyd in the 1st round, but it would be competitive for sure.
-
Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
No what i meant is Cotto can win but if you bet on Cotto he will lose in the first round what i meant Legion so bet on Floyde for the love of god lol.

uR AN AMATEUR BOXER!!!!
You probably hear it every time u step footin the gym, box talll and stand up...Chavez boxes tall as he can, where as Ricky boxes out of a hunch.

Could Floyd have picked a worse sparring partner? If you're looking for someone similar to Hatton, you'd at least start by finding someone good.

Ndou is a top 10 JWW, who is Ricky sparring with that is mor tough than Ndou?

Matthew Macklin.

Macklin? U r joking right?
the same guy who was ko'd by jamie moore?
Atleast ndou has been the distance with guys like cotto. he is a lot more like hatton than macklin is like PBF.

Could that be further evidence of the weakness at 140 that this guy is ranked top 10?
Hatton, Torres, Witter (Yeah I said it), Malignaggi, Ngoujo, Castillo, D-Hop, Forbes, Holt, M'Baye, Rees, Salita, Harris, Lazcano.
There's 14 guys I'd rank above him.
-

The same MIDDLEWEIGHT who KO'd Alessio Forlan quicker than John Duddy did in his last fight, yes.
You never asked for a fighter like Floyd you asked for a tougher than Ndou.

No doubt those guys are beta but ndou is as good if not beta than any of hattons spar partners. He'd easily be a more useful spar than Macklin who has neva even fought a top 40 fighter yet still has 2 losses.

No he wouldn't. N'Dou wouldn't last 2 mins against a light-middle.

So your saying no name macklin would be harder 2 last against than cotto?

Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Eagle quit weaving, you asked for a tougher guy than N'dou. Macklin was named.
Macklin is a middleweight. Of course he would be harder to last aginst than a welterweight.

Are u seriously suggesting that macklin is a beta choice of sparring partner than ndou?
Or as usual are u just being a ricky fanboy? Ndou will be able to mimick hatton a lot beta than any of hattons partners will be able to mimick PBF. True?

Cotto was half strength at 140. At Welter, N'Dou would have been KO'ed. In his last fight, he was knocked down by a guy who couldn't score a knockout with rohypnol. Macklin is a middle now, and looks the stronger for it.

Eagle you are contradicting yourself...
Your initial question:
Ndou is a top 10 JWW, who is Ricky sparring with that is mor tough than Ndou?
Matthew Macklin is tougher than Ndou.
Perhaps he is not the best sparring partner in the world but it answered your question as he is indeed tougher than Ndou

Yes Eagle it is pretty clear that you have never seen anything of Matthew Macklin and you have simply researched his name on Boxrec.com
Ndou will not be able to mimic Hatton.
And Hatton has spent the last 5 years watching how Mayweather fights. He already has his plan in place. Sparring with Macklin is more likely to be for fitness and timing purposes.

Matthew Macklin.
He's been sparring with Rock Allen, Steve Forbes, Karl Dargan (top philidelphia amateur about to turn pro) and he's done 18 rounds with John Murray, Young British Fighter of the Year 2006.

Re: I might be A Little Late on The Draw, but Who Is Floyd Sparring With?
Can you effectively perfect your timing with a sparring partner far slower than your opponent?
