He looks ripped in those pics? I think he looks better than he did but he still looks like sh@t imo.
I have to agree Ice,something is dodgy considering he could not make the original weight, hnce the fight was cancelled temporarily. Then he had to re negotiate and get the weight limit moved from 162,to 166 or something equally as stupid. He also looked REALLY FLABBY at the press conference when they had that little scuffle and now he's looking reseanably ripped all of a sudden? I'm not saying he DEFINITELY took something but he sure could have done.
Totally agree well said Gamo cc.Quote:

Right, but how many month ago was that scuffle...I don't rule out that he actually didQuote:

Oh thats a good thought right there, Mayorga of 3 or 4 years ago gives anyone at welter a hard time, him and Cotto would be good, I still see Mayorga having too much fight for Vargas no mater what weight they fight at.
Mayorga wins, Hatton wins, then they line up Mayorga as a name defence before Hatton beats Cotto then makes millions against Oscar ;D
tbh i doubt he would be taking roids i just think he has not been doing much road work and just did his press ups and situps n whatever else while he was chubby. If you look at him now and look at him a few years ago he look way more ripped back then now he looks soft and doughy
It already happened..Quote:

Good question - it's a gift or maybe a new line of roids, makes people think you did it legit.Quote:

he's not taking steroids. That's what rest, a good workout regiment, and oiling down the body before the photo is taken, does to you.
.....so photoshop is it?
Fat over heavy muscle does look somewhat impressive, it makes you look a lot bigger than you really are when there's some definition. On review however look at where his forearm meets his wrist, and then look at his fist. Kinda looks photoshoped to me. I don't know, you be the judge. We'll see on the scales and then in the ring what kind of shape he's in.
Roids or no roids, Mayorga is gonna beat him come Friday night. Ricardo Mayorga will knock him out early, he has to.
Mayorga has to win or his career is pretty much over. Vargas has already stated he's retiring.Quote:

Especially if he has already acknowledged that using them was wrong of him.
Exactly, if ever there was a time for Mayorga to be hungry, this would be it. And amat, Vargas never manned up to the whole steriod thing, he denied he knew anything about it, blamed it all on his nutrionist and fired his ass. On a side note, anyone see that Ross Thompson fight with Vargas they aired tonight on ESPN classic? Boy he and Thompson kept their hands down and looked sloppy as hell in that fight.Quote:

Remember when he broke through that wall...lol now thats roid rage ;D
To be fair, Vargas in his prime would kick Mayorga and Cotto's asses. Honestly, he's a bigger man, with good boxing skills and definite power. Or least he was.Quote:

It is a strange picture, had he really trimmed down that much fat, it would be incredibly difficult to put on the musclemass that he has.....highly unusual.
i doubt he is solid tho looks like he had just build upon his fat rather than doing a lot of cardio and getting lean. If you look in his prime he looks very ripped and solid but in these pics he looks a little stodgy and he seems to still have a bit of fat under his chin
Funnily enough i never thought Vargas looked lean, mention ripped and i just shake my head.
I was thinking that. It was just over a month ago he looked flabby. If he has spent that much time in the gym to do it, there is a danger of peaking too early.Quote:

However, the ideal training theory is to lose fat and gain muscle, so who knows, with creatine and protein he may have managed it legitimately
