Interesting fight, although one that I think Wlad wins rather easily.

Agreed. But fair play to Ibragimov, the only fights he's been after are unification fights.
I might in the minority but I give Ibragimov a good chance.
Wlad in two
Thanks for the info. Ibragimov seems to be written off before each fight. Fighting Klitschko is a step up no doubt but if he can stay upright he might have a good chance.
I agree that this will be an easy one for klitschko
Wlad by brutal knock out
.....Wladimir Klitschko!
So what do you think guys?
Here's the song Wladimir should walk to the ring to.....

Goodnight Sultan
FUCK! YEAH! It's about fucken time...
Come on Wladdy.... 8)
Unify this shit! and make it happen..... Wladdy TKO rd. 7
Not a bad number...Wlad KO sometime between 7-10. If it took 7 to breakdown Brock, it should may take him a little longer to get to Ibragamov. Ibragamov stands a SLIGHT chance, but all my instincts tell me Wlad will get to him in the mid-late or late rounds.Quote:

Mid rounds KO for Wlad.
Credit to Ibragimov for trying to make these fights!
Where does this leave Chagaev? Maybe he could fight the winner of Povetkin/ Chambers or Maskaev/ Peter, then be back in the mix for Wlad.
Atleast the heavies are starting to do things... finally!!!
Interesting thought...When one of these 2 does unify, he'll most likely have to vacate one of the belts, as Tony Thompson has been madatory for the WBO for a while now, and Povetkin/Chambers will be mandatory for the IBF. Eventually, these boys are gunna have to be accomadated. It'll bring in some new blood to the mix, but it'll most likely prolong the agony of waiting for a unified world champion.
What is Chagaev doing? He'll most likely have no option but to face Valuev again at this rate.
Unification....At last!
And all credit to Sultan, whether he wins or loses we owe him our gratitude!
I agree. I'm not a fan really, but you can't help but respect his determination. Really doesn't avoid anyone. Then again, lucky for him he doesn't have the WBC belt, because the farce of a situation there means unification with another belt won't happen for another 12 years.Quote:

The funny thing is Ibragimov seem to go after everyone, yet has yet to fight himself in the ring with someone really dangerous. He landed an eliminator for Wlad with the biggest name on his resume being Lance Whitaker. Ibragimov drew against Ray Austin in that eliminator, and instead of facing Wladimir Klitschko, he is facing Shannon Briggs for a world title. No disrespect for Briggs, but at 35 he was about as bad a champion as they come, even in this era. Ibrag goes straight for unification, yet ends up fighting a 44 year old. Now, compare Ibragimovs career with, say, Tony Thompson's and it is hard not to consider him almost incredibly lucky.Quote:

He definitly believes in himself or he wouldn't be after a unification so hard...

Wasnt Valuev-Lyakhovich supposed to be an eliminator? Boxrec doesnt list is as such, but there was purse bid and all (which Sauerland not surprisingly won). Any change in plans?Quote:

I fancy Sultan for this fight

Yeah but he ain't champ, Peters #2 & Maskaev is #3. Wlad vs Peter/ Maskaev winner = Heavyweight Champion!Quote:

Your right Wlad ain't the champ. But it's pretty much only a matter of timeQuote:

The loser of Peter/ Maskaev will drop outta the top 3 & Chagaev should move into 3. That would qualify for a championship match. I think Chagaev would fight Wlad, he may not win but he'll definitely fight!
Chagaev has some kind of illness which makes him very fatigued which is why he pulled out of the fight with Sultan.
Ruslan is a tough fighter, the toughest I think in the top 5...he can take a shot but he hasn't had to take them from Wladimir so it might still be a questionmark
AgreedQuote:

it would be unusual but the ring might make wlad the champ after this fight... pavlik was 3 or 4 win he beat JT and he is the ring champ...
The winner of Wlad/ Sultan won't be recognized by the Ring as champ!Quote:

Pavlik became champ because he defeated Taylor who was champion!
AFTER wlad deals with sultan, i dont mind him taking care of whatever mandatories he has to. I really dont. For a long time now people have pissed and moaned about unifications and a real hw champ since lewis. Wlad fights ray austin and gets shitted on by some people. I DOUBT wlad wanted to fight that bum but he deffinately has unification on the mind. And since he is true to that, i can wait.
