Assuming Floyd gets past Hatton, it seems Team Mayweather is already laying the groundwork for ignoring a possible fight with Cotto. It figures...

After 2 hard fights with Jose Luis Castillo, Floyd fought: Victoriano Sosa, Henry Bruseles, and Demarcus Corley....not tough competition
Arturo Gatti - really a B class fighter who got famous from his show of heart and got a shot at Floyd due to his ability to fill arenas
Sharmba Mitchell - He's known for giving Kostya Tszyu all he could handle......FOUR YEARS before this fight happened. More recently KT smacked him down in 3 rounds a year before he got the fight with Floyd
Zab Judah - was supposed to beat Carlos Baldomir to get the fight, lost and still got to fight Floyd anyways. That fight made no sense after he lost to Baldomir.
Carlos Baldomir - he got to fight Floyd simply for beating Zab and getting a fan base behind him due to his fight vs Zab.
Oscar De la Hoya - full time promoter, part time fighter, he still draws a big crowd but he's older and doesn't have the heart for boxing anymore but Floyd apparently wanted to fight him as opposed to fighting someone IN THEIR PRIME!!!

Hatton is a good fight for him and Ricky and Floyd both deserve to find out who the best is...it's a good fight with a deserving challenger

That was his first fight at 147 for fucks sake..Ever heard of a tune up fight or a fight to get adjusted to the weight? Everybody wants to talk shit about his recent opposition who havn't even been all that bad but nobody wants to mention his accomplishments throughout his WHOLE career! He has been fighting valid world champions since the age of 21 since his 18th pro fight when most fighters like Hatton, Margarito and even Cotto were still fighting the bum of the month at that stage in their careers!! The difference is Mayweather was fighting these guys who were in their prime while he was still green and inexperienced and still making them look silly!! He's pound for pound because throughout his whole career nobody has done what he has done all you people bitching about how he's ducked this person and that person need to compare another boxers entire career with Floyds..Floyd will always come out on top.

Yet again I will mention he has never unified nor tried to unify the titles in any weight class ever so that means at least 3 fighters PER DIVISION were not fought by Floyd....I didn't say he ducked them but they had just as much credibility as title holders as Floyd and therefore Floyd is 1/3rd as great as he thinks he is.
I'm tired of excuses Floyd needs to step up and fight the best and with Hatton he's taking a step in the right direction

I dont know when you guys will get it thru your head...It dosent matter what you think about Floyds PFP standing. He is the best in the world and recognized by every respected sanctioning and ranking body as such.
So you can Beetch all you want but it aint gonna change a damn thing, so continue to try and taint his legacy and accompolishments all you want, again dosent change much.

If Floyd is moving up in weight and thats what he wants to do while pushing his natural abilities and spread them over weight classes cause thats what he wanted to achieve with his career, isint a slight on him. Sorry its not. Thats your standard Lyle and if you dont see the value in a fighter fighting over 24lbs his natural weight and retaining his skills attributes and abilities while still operating at the highest level well then thats your short sightedness

Calm down JT Rock. Stop getting so aggravated over nothing,drama queen ;D ??? I am a fan of his talents,I've said that on numerous occasions.However,I'm not a fan of his attitude and I think he could have a far far better resume.I don't see what Cotto and Margarito have to do with this(going off topic as per usual) ;D :D
