He won't lose.
He'll lose his next fight
isnt it funny VD im sure you said the same about the Kessler fight.... hhhmmmmm just a thought
its looking like he'll have 2/3 more fights then he's out.. I expect it to be hopkins next, then possibly Woods and finallt a fight against whoever comes out on top between Taylor/Pavlik.. I expect a third fight between them two...
If you ask me none of these fights are easy but the only one a could see him loosing is against Pavlik because of his obscene power.. I still think Joe would be a big Fav, So i can see JC retiring unbeating.
Though I am not a fan I will say this about Calzaghe,,,,
He is a smart fighter and takes his bouts seriously,,,,I have seen many of guys in his position over the years..ATG fighters,,,and after having undefeated streaks of a few years they begin to become lazy or maybe I should say get this self imposed aura of invincibility.....Joe has managed to escape that pattern of thought....Making sure he is fully prepared for all his fights...be it a jobber like Manfredo or legit threats like Kessler and Lacey.....He is a naturaly gifted fighter and makes sure he is at peak...very hard to beat a guy like that.....
Truth is the fact that Calzaghe is often underrated works in his favor....There are always opponents who believe the talk about things like that and they go in thinking they will be the one to expose him once and for all.....
To say Calzaghe will never lose is foolish...every fighter has his day if he sticks around to long or there is always that one bad night....Fighters greater then Calzaghe have had nights like those....It is just a matter of will he be around long enough for that night to ever happen?
I dont know if there is any guys out there at supermiddle/light heavy who can beat Calzaghe i would love to see him fight Pavlik tho it would be a hell of a fight Joe has a great chin but Pavliks offence is scary think the weight may be a problem for Kelly tho at LH.
HE WILL NOT LOSE
He's been saying it for his last god knows how many fights, normaly by KO too... most people just ignore him.Quote:

As many have said i dont think the SMW and LHW divisions are strong enough to hand him a defeat at the moment. The most likely defeat would be by hopkins but i think Joe would eek out a UD against him.
I don't know... See, I'm a huge Hopkins fan but I have trouble thinking he can beat Joe. Hopkins with age has become a one punch at a time guy. He hits and gets out. How would this work against Joe? Joe would just simply outwork Bernard. I just can't see a feasable way this could go bernard's way! ???Quote:

Oh no, you were clear enough...  I was the one who was unclear.  I saw you say Joe would win by UD but I was just commenting about when you said the only chance of a loss would be agaist BHOP. I got you, though!Quote:

The Hopkins fight will be Joes hardest fight to date if it comes off in my eyes just because Nard is great at spoiling other fighters styles and with it being in the he could get a home town decision but i would expect joe to pull out the decision.
.
No worries mate. CC back.Quote:

It was actually sarcasm. But I knew Calzaghe dick holder would respond.Quote:

But like him or not you can not deny his accomplishments :-\.....One has nothing to do with the other....Hell when Floyd Mayweather is on TV for an interview I either turn the channel or go to the bathroom...I can't stand to listen to his non stop self loathing....un needed no matter how good you are are not how a champion behaves.....But I do not deny his in ring skill.....
Have to learn to seperate the two ;)
I can very well see Calzaghe continuing for another 18 months and having 3 or 4 bouts and finally calling it a day unbeaten.
Hopefully with 2 big fights in there to keep the retirement fund truly up to scratch.
Depends what fights he choses.
He will be B-Hop he will win.
If he fights Dawson he will win
If he fights Woods he will win
If he fights RJJ he will win
If he fights Pavlik - i see him losing. It would have to be at SMW and I can't see Calzaghe draining weight again to fight an ever improving fighter like Pavlik.
I hope he stays unbeaten!
And as for people not liking or still not respecting Joe...WTF does he have to do??? Thank God your in an absolute minority!!!
It's very possible to lose, as Dax said, every single fighter in history COULD lose, if they face the wrong guy at the wrong time.
This is why I reckon JC should have 2 more fights at most, B-hop then possibly the guy who comes through Pavlik-Taylor, Taylor being the easier fight to make probably since he is certain to stay at SM.
Joe could make life difficult for himself picking a lesser known opposition he'd be expected to deal with, a combination of underating his opponent and his age could catch up with him. He needs only the fihgts that motivates him most.
The only way I see Calzaghe losing is by breaking both of his hands. The only one I could see keeping up with his workrate is Pavlik cause he can stand into the fire, but I don't know if Pavlik could handle Joe's ability to adjust.
From the two opponents I've heard rumors about (Hopkins and Roy Jones calling Joe out), I don't think Calzaghe will would lose to either of them. Joe's work rate alone would be too much for either opponent to handle.
If Pavlik gets through Taylor, which myself and the rest of the world thinks, I don't see any other greater goal for Pavlik than to move up and take on Calzaghe. At this point is where Joe's work rate meets work rate + power from Pavlik. Pavlik will dethrone the aging Calzaghe...
...That is unless Joe feels content with a victory over Hopkins and/or Jones solidifying his legacy and retires undefeated.
the only way he could possibly lose would to be if Floyd Mayweather moved up to fight him! ;D
I see Calzaghe's ball shaver makes an appearance. Poor Kelly still can't get over the beating I put on him. The poor thing sends me PM's talking shit. I respond with such a viciousness that his mom had to get online telling me to please leave her son alone. LOLQuote:

There is not a fighter at middle,Smiddle or LHweight who is at the same leval as Calzaghe.
So as long as he does not stick around for more than a year or so he will never lose.
I think Pavlik would be his biggest test!Quote:

The same Pavlik who KTFO Taylor ad Miranda. Did u even see the Taylor Pavlik fight? Kelly only got hit cos he was taunting Taylor.Quote:
