As I watch Duran/Leonard 1, I have to wonder what will we get on Dec 8th.

I am sitting here watching Roberto Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard I.
I wonder what kind of fight we shall see on Dec 8th. Hatton/Mayweather Jr.
I would love to see a war like Duran/Leonard 1., but... I have a very strong feeling
that Floyd will run like Leonard did in Duran/Leonard 2. (I love Ray Leonard but he ran like a biatch against Duran in the second fight)
If Floyd does nothing more than run for 12 rounds, this will show what a heartless coward Floyd is. It will also show us maybe how one dimensional Floyd also is. It's no secret that Hatton can be cut and bruised something easy, I just hope people don't confuse this with anything that Floyd can actually do. Hatton is begining to remind me of Gatti in the facial bruises and cut dept.

I hope Hatton and the preacher man have a plan b and c if Floyd decides to run for 12.

I think if Floyd decides to "run", Hatton's plan b,c,d, and e-z will be to keep chasing him, as what else will he do? I like both fighters myself, but Floyd seems to be able to execute his shots pretty well on the back foot and if Hatton can't keep him in place by closing off the ring, holding, or tripping Floyd then he'll get pot shotted all night. I think Floyd will let him get him to the ropes and beat Hatton in his own comfort zone, but we'll see soon enough. I hope Hatton gets knocked out before he starts running around screaming "No Mas" or I'll be talking alot of sh#t ;D

i think mayweather will run for the whole fight. he might test out hattons strength and try trade for the first couple of rounds. but hatton will be the stronger man on the inside. hatton can win if he can close floyd down quick enough and use that great stamina and pressure fightin to wear floyd down. i think hatton will set such a pace that floyd will buckle. i see duran leonard one all over again. what do u think the bigger upset will be when duran beat leonard or if hatton beats mayweather

I think the bigger upset would be Hatton over Mayweather, as alot of people really question the opposition of Hatton and his "best" wins over Castillo and Kostya. To me it would be the bigest upset ever, or at least since Tyson/Douglas.

I think it would be a huge upset if Hatton won, but that's just my view on it. Floyd has plenty of heart or he wouldn't be where he is today through 5 different weight classes. And heart won't do any good if Hatton's face is shredded like he ran it over a cheese grater and the ref stops the fight. I don't question Ricky's heart, just whether he can make it to the last round without needing an I.V. because of loss of blood ;D I hope Ricky wins though ;)

I felt sort of relived because many people had never seen Cotto do this before. You have to go back to one or two of Cotto's very early fights to see him box. I have seen Cotto do many things and I know what he is capable of doing. This is why I laugh when I read people saying that Cotto is one dimensional or that he is too slow. I have studied Cotto very thoroughly. He showed Shane that he is not the only one who can bounce on his feet and get on his bike. All fighters have bikes. Cotto's bike is rusted if you ask me but it still works. If Cotto did nothing more than get on his bike, I would not be a fan of his.

Floyd is on a streak of fighting some tough S.O.B's, and he did NOT run in the oscar fight, floyd fights floyds fight, he fights to win.

In this sport the ONLY thing people remeber when its all said and done is who you beat and who you didn't. If it was just about how good your fights were the gatti would be the all time p4p king, but he aint, he was never even the current p4p king, floyd has been for three years. fuck his style this is boxing not UFC or WWF its about BOXING and winning.

Fighting on the backfoot is an art, you watch other good, great fighters who had to fight on the back foot, they couldn;'t do it, they lost rounds and fights when they were put on the back foot.

What mayweather does may not make your dick jump up, but ot those who understand boxing know its an art and damn hard thing to do... truth is, if mayweather comes forwad with hatton, it will be a hugging match.

To be the best in the world, you have to have fought and beat the best in the world and Floyd has not beat the best in the world. He never unified one division and he beat a bunch of old men who were on their last leg. Why do people get this all twisted. Floyd did something most men can't or won't dare try and that is move up in weights and that takes talent, TREMENDOUS talent. Nobody will argue that. To me he is a gifted athlete who got a few breaks based on the competion that was there at the time. To me, Floyd is one of the greatest defensive pugs the world has ever seen. He has yet to prove he is the greatest fighter because he is lacking in the fight dept and again I repeat, he has not beat the best in the world yet.

If anything I'll go out on a limb and say Floyd wants this more than Ricky. Floyd is expected to win and has called Hatton every name in the book and he knows all the "experts" pick him to win and if he doesn't he'll almost be a laughing stock in alot of people's eyes. Rick is going into this fight knowing he is picked to lose and if he does there's no shame in it as everyone else has lost to Floyd. He'll get a huge payday and do whatever he's planning on doing if he loses. Ricky says he'll win, but he knows it's a tremendous task put in front of him and if he loses can say at least he tried. Floyd has alot more to lose in this fight than Ricky IMO.

Honeslty...I don't give a shit how Floyd wins...or what he does...it will never be enough for people who want to see him lose & always bet against him.

While I think that Floyd is one of the greatest fighters on the face of the planet...he will lose...some time...if not now...he will, if he continues.

Also...when your'e P4P the best in the world...haters/detractors are going to always beat you down. As long as you do keep winning...then you are worthy of your title. The thing is...just because Floyd is a different type of fighter than Cotto or Hatton doesn't really make a difference. Floyd knows his style, his limits, & his abilities & there have been very few times that he has fought a stupid fight. The same can't be said for Cotto & Hatton...both of them have been hammered, stung, stunned, & even dropped.

Cowards don;t get in the ring and fight other great fighters, they don't they don't make it far in the sport.

Floyd is on a streak of fighting some tough S.O.B's, and he did NOT run in the oscar fight, floyd fights floyds fight, he fights to win.

In this sport the ONLY thing people remeber when its all said and done is who you beat and who you didn't. If it was just about how good your fights were the gatti would be the all time p4p king, but he aint, he was never even the current p4p king, floyd has been for three years. F*** his style this is boxing not UFC or WWF its about BOXING and winning.

Fighting on the backfoot is an art, you watch other good, great fighters who had to fight on the back foot, they couldn;'t do it, they lost rounds and fights when they were put on the back foot.

How can you say that this is anything similar to Duran Leonard I? Duran is less of a pure pressure fighter at least by that stage in his career than Hatton is righ tnow. Also Leonard isn't the same kind of fighter going backwards Mayweather is. Leonard is better going forward or on middleweight ground where neither guy is really coming forward a lot. Mayweather is good at getting of his punches especially his right hand going backwards. Also how has Floyd ever shown he was one dimensional? He has foughten on the inside before(Ndou, Chavez for awhile), he has foughten comming forward(Corley, Mitchell, G. Hernandez, Judah among others), and he has shown counter punching/boxing with good body shots Gatti, Sosa, Burton, Bruseles), and he has shown his ability to fight going backwards (Oscar, Castillo, Corrales, Baldomir). He has done everything against pretty good opposition. If he doesn't stand right there against Hatton why is he being a pussy? Because he is fighting the best style to face Hatton by moving and tiring him out? Watch the fight again. One of thee most boring fights it was. Ray was not doing shiet but show boating and if you look at Duran, he was not even in this fight. He had no desire and the fact that he just said "I quit!" goes to show you he did not give a shiet about the fight. Yes the fight had it's moments and it was alright. Was Duran ever really hurt, cut, stunned or dropped in that rematch? No. No one knows or understands why he just quit but he did and he got paid and that was the end of that.

Read again. I said the fight will either be similar to Duran/Leonard 1 or Duran/Leonard 2. To boot...There are those who say Hatton is just going to quit. I never said these two fighters were the same. There is only one Floyd and only one Ricky. No two fighters are exactly the same but have some similarities here and there.

I guess we shall see what happens after the fight. I bet I am right about one of these comparisons.

Personally...I don't get anyone that thinks this things is coming off like the Gatti or Corrales fight...nor do I think that he quits.

One of two things is going to happen...Floyd will shine or Hatton will...& it'll be that simple...but shining & shutting out are two polar opposites.

Ray did do so some boxing in the first fight. He was not always flat footed. Duran was still all over Ray. Duran was very motivated in the first fight. The second fight he was not even trying to chase Leonard around that much. He threw that fight in the worst way. Ray was not making Duran look silly to me. He was just show boating and running around the ring and doing his thing. Don't get me wrong, I was rooting for Leonard in both fights but the second fight sucked balls even if my favorite fighter Ray Leonard won. I guess we can blame Duran more than anything for not being in this fight and then just quiting and went to get his check before going home.

Punchstats mean nothing Spinks landed more punches than Holmes in 2nd fight yet people consider that one of the worse robberies of all time.

And Oscar De La Hoya outlanded Tito by a landslide in punchstats yet people consider that very close fight punchstats mean nothing.

On my card Mayweather won first 4 rounds clearly against Castillo Mayweather only lost by 1 round on my card and some rounds could of gone either way hardly a robbery.

I think Mayweather will come out and take the first 4 or 5 rounds off like he did against oscar,in the belief that hatton will tire later on,except he wont,floyd will then win the middle rounds,going in2 the last few rounds,hatton will be ahead but only just,i c it being close until the last round and then i c hatton going all out and pushing floyd around the ring to take the split decision....

Of course after he loses,floyd wil say that hatton was dirty and that he hurt his hand.....
