He was supposed to fight Cintron on February 2, but that got cancelled because Cintron hurt his hand fighting on the Vargas-Mayorga undercard.Quote:

Williams is in a tough spot right now because he's young and should stay active, but there are very few guys who want to fight him.
I heard there's a chance Judah may fight Quintana.
Dont blame him, he will probably end up with Margarito again....because everyone else seems to get injured when they hear Paul Williams name. Someone will mention Paul Williams to Collazo and his hand will need more time to heal, just watch.
It seems that Quintana is most likely to face Williams on Feb 2nd.
I'd dealy like to see a rematch with Margarito; though it seems the rumor is he'll be fighting Castillo ??? I want to see Williams stay busy though, and too bad he can't beat up Zab while he's waiting around. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Clottey as well. I don't see anyone thrilled to get in with PW, except Tony who wants to try and redeem himself. They should just put Feliciano in with PW, that would be fun.Quote:

Best to give Williams a guy with a glass jaw so that it looks a little less that he hits like a lady.
Cue Zab Judah.
That's why it would be fun Bilbo ;D :jabbing:Quote:

Maybe they'll fight down the line, but there's definitely nothing scheduled at the moment. Judah injured his hand a couple weeks ago and he can't do anything for a month or two, he's not making any plans until he's back in training.Quote:

It sucks to see this really, I mean Team Williams should at least give his fighter a stay busy fight I mean the last thing you need is having your champ fighting once after having such a big win.
Bad management IMO.
this is how the FEB 2nd HBO cards is looking right now.
David Tua -vs.- Chris Arreola ( not finalized yet, get the $$$ right boys and make it happen ! ..lets see some LOVE for this slugfest ! )
Paul Williams -vs.- ( was Kermit Cintron before the hand injury)
Zab Judah is the likely opponent however the catch is Judah is nursing a hand injury as well its minor , he should be able to spar by Jan 1st. . Luis Collazo, Ricardo Mayorga and Carlos Quintana are also being looked at just in case.
Andre Ward -vs.- Allen Green is the likely opponent
Anyone get the feeling PW's win over Margarito took a lot out of him? You hear about losses taking something out of a fighter, but that was an exhausting win.
What a rough game plan it must be to plan on throwing 100 punches a round. Especially when fighting a guy who is going to take it and still be game in the 12th. That was a great win against Margarito, but he can't be looking forward to doing it again!
F the bullshit, wheres your boy Cotto? Surely he doesnt think Clottey is a bigger name than Williams, and Clottey doesnt have the WBO strap. Ummm hmmm, scurred Danny he scurred like a lil puerto rican schoolgirl. ;)
I think Quintana is lined up to face Judah... Althoughi suppose it's 'tentative'.Quote:

Of cousre, theres always Clottey :D
Williams is fighting Quintana(most likely) next year. It's on Boxing scene.
By beating Margarito he not only won a title but also the title of least desirable welter opponent...
No welter with his logicals workin correctly wants to get in there with a guy well over 6ft...
Hmm....bet Cotto would tho.
Cotto and Williams need to get their fingers out of their arses and face each other if either one wants to force a shot at the winner of Mayweather/Hatton.
Cotto vs Williams would be a great fight, to contrasting styles going at it a bit like Hatton mayweather styles wise, speed vs power, body puncher versus combination puncher, Id have to favour Cotto in this 1 thogood jab to get inside williams long reach, and if he touchs him to the body williams is gonna feel this, Cotto stoppage 9th.
Paul is very slim and narrow bodywise so body shots from a creature like Cotto could be his downfall.
To be brutally honest I don't want these two to meet as they are both favourites of mine and Id prefer they both moved on to be great in different classes (as i feel Williams will eventually move up as his body matures and thickens.)
