Ricky Hatton vs Ray Oliveira One Of My Most Favorite Hatton Fights.
Im a Mayweather fan but i really enjoy this fight because Hatton didn't clinch, and it was good clean inside fighting from Hatton he was razor sharp in this fight.

Hatton didn't clinch at all until he met Vince Phillips. He was all action and thats how he earned the rep of being "a hyper active Julio Caesar Chavez."
If you want sokme more enjoyable ones Ice check out the Holbaek Pedersen mismatch, the Joe Hutchinson fight and virtually all his early domestic fights...

The Oliveira fight is really very good. Hatton was very active and much less of the holding we have seen since.
Im quietly hopefully that Hatton can pull this one off. He really is one tough little bastard!! ;D

Totally agree it was a very good fight and also like Donny said the Pederson fight is up there too. Pederson didnt half take some punishment. One of my top Hatton fights is the Ben Tackie fight, Hatton showed so much more of his boxing skills in this fight. He was in and out and gave Tackie such a beating, respect to Tackie though his head must be made of steel.

Magee is also tough i believe he has never been stopped either, and he has some good skills aswell.

Magee is decent to average, he enjoyed decent success at Light Welter because he was naturally a welter and strong to go with it.

He tends to clinch or as Larry Merchant rightly put it "Hook and Hold" when the opposition has firepower.
Floyd doesn't have much of a punch so hopefully it won't happen and nobody will complain.

Haton will hold this fight. I'd highly advise it too!
In that way he may drain a little of Floy'ds famed stamina and limit the excellent movement Mayweather has.

Yeah, but before Hatton got him, of all people Sharmba "Balloon-Fists" Mitchell knocked him down.

Watch the John Thaxton fight. He has "World Champion" written all over him when you see how he faught there. His eyes were sliced up to death in the first round but it didn't phase him at all. Even to this day I'm stunned the ref let him fight.

It was sad though cause Hatton really ruined Olivera as a fighter. He wasnt the same after that fight. Im just happy he retired after fighting Augustus. I remember back in the day he was a punching machine, he threw a ridiculous amount of punches.

thats my favourite hatton fight and i was ringside for it, there was blood everywhere, the only reason it qwas allowed to continue is because hatton just didnt look affected by it. He was excellent in that fight.

Have to agree..........he gave ray such a beating,hasnt been as vicious since.......
even though he holds more now,i still think he's still really exciting......

Yeah, Olivera went from a C fighter down to a D fighter after facing Hatton

Vince Philips? You can't deny him his dues.
Hatton expressed his displeasure at fighting Holbaek Pedersen and when Pedersen started geeting cheekky Hatton said he would destroy him. Watch the fight and try to find fault.
And the reason I told Ice of the Hutchinson fight is because Lil Joe was a speed puncher whom in movement may be the closest that Hatton has ever had to Mayweather*
