it begs the question...who will reign supreme, i certaintly think kessler has what it takes , but lacy is still out there and them two make for a mouthwatering fight, in my opinion carl froch will be a champion, i was quite impressed in the way he dismantled reid who i know was over the hill but he still came to fight...maybe im overlooking over boxers...your opions?

kessler unles he feels he needs to move up a weight to gain status as a legend which he probably will as he lost to calzaghe
If Kessler did move up i would say Froch but if he does'nt and Kessler vs Froch happens Froch would come unstuck.

Your 100% spot on there... He was outclassed by Calzaghe... But not by much.. And he looked like a tough champion boxer the entire fight which was completely to his credit.. That fight answered questions, but he didn't lose an ounce of respect in that fight as far as i'm concerned...Quote:

It would be better if someone beat Calzaghe and the baton got passed on like that so we have a man who beat the man because look how the heavyweight division went when Lennox walked away.Their was abit of a void and it still has'nt recovered really in the heavyweight division.Their is'nt a man who stands head and shoulders above the rest.

kessler with no doubt in my mind, someone that will be one to watch is Lucian Bute, he may be inexperienced, but he is no slouch.

quite surprised nobody has mentioned jeff lacy...i know he doesnt have the skills but he is technically sound, with good defence and he has a knockout punch, good candidate.

I agree 100%...Kessler is also young still....28 or 29 and improving.....It was not as if he has anything to be embaressed of...he fought a good fight....Joe had just a little to much for him that night...a home crowd advantage....and Kessler has never been in the situation where he was in hostile territory against such a seasoned fighter.....He has been in the deep water and while he did not win he did not drown either....IMO it was a great learning experience for himQuote:

Taylor just developed this lazyness of his around the time he fough Hopkins then he became arrogant afterward...the by fighting smaller guys did not help in keeping him on top of his game....

Yeah actually Taylor's chin surprised me a bit in the Pavlik fight, he took some big shots.
His defense is more the problem
I think Kessler is the man now and Bute is after him some of the fights i like to see at SMW

Think those fights would great there are alot more fights at SMW i staring to like the division more now it seems more up for grabs.
It'll be the division to be in, as opposed to middle or L.Heavy, bit of a turn around from the past. Hope Pavlik makes the permanent move soon. I saw a replay of Bute against Bika yestareday, not sold on Bute yet, he's technically sound and has decent power, but just hasn't got that something extra, doesn't have the output to keep a Kessler or Pavlik away from him, he has enough to make the fights interesting though.
Bika vs Miranda that would be a good war Bika will win a title soon his fight in contender final was awesome.
I find it hard to see Bika winning a title, he's strong enough to give problems to anyone, but isn't a devastating puncher and won't get the rounds in the bag, especially since he'll probably have to travel to the opponents back yard. I agree that a fight with Miranda would be very entertaining, like to see Miranda in with Froch as well.Quote:
