New Hatton Supporter!!!!

okay first every one of hatton's fight's Ive seen have been as ugly as john ruiz fights, except the the collazo and castillo ones. So it was kinda hard for me to really appreciate what he does in the ring. But after watching 24/7 two things:

(1) damn i'm tired of PBF's mouth and just out of curiosity wouldn't mind seeing him lose just to hear what he would say.

(2) ricky's intensity, and lateral movement while working the body bag showed me that some body shots that might otherwise land on floyd's elbow, with a slight side step from ricky would land directly in the center pressure point of floyd's body. and could do serious damage

Even though now i see the appeal to hatton, and wouldn't mind him beating floyd, i still don't see it happening but i do strongly believe this fight will be for floyd, like fighting castillo twice, chop-chop, and oscar all in the same night with each one rotating rounds.

Man I can't wait!!!!!Let's go pbf and hatton...

Hitting that body bag does'nt show me alot it is'nt much different from pounding a heavy bag and it does'nt hit back.

As a matter of fact, the marauding style Hattton has used in the fights u allude to is not Hatton's base style at all.
In fights upto the Kostya fight he was a high Octane sppeddy bodypuncher who held on rare occasion.
The adaption of the style i feel is partially to benefit from his own core strength and grind opponents down and sap stamina, but also to cope with the power of elite fighters.

It's a form of training for a fight. If this didn't prepare you at all then you wouldn't do it, right? You can't just dismiss this as unimportant.

yeah and neither does choreographed mit routines..besides it was more hatton's lateral movement that I like...

You're so caught up in being a mayweather fanboy that you don't realize how you just took a shot at floyd as well because he does hit the heavy bag too you know?

While on the bod7y bag Graham has the gloves on and throws combinations at Ricky.

They don't show that bit on 24/7 just like they don't show sparring ;)

Yeah but if you look at what JonesJrMayweather+Mosley said, he was impressed with his movement. It's not just about how hard he hits a bag, it's the way he does it to avoid the combinations Billy throws and to move to hit from different angles.

Exactly!!!! Anyone who's watching or saw the final episode during the marathon session on the bag ricky's face had welts.. certainly one doesn't think that he was hitting himself....

Ok fair enough but Billy don't hit as fast as Mayweather but i agree with the movement thing and his body work to the body bag is good but he does'nt show us alot im not a pro fighter but i could knock Billy round ring punching the granny out of the bag.

And if ur not a pro boxer i certainly doubt yopu could throw 100+ punches a round for fifteen rounds!!!

Understood, but iv trained with the body belt m,any times and it's incredibly hard to get the guy to back up as the belt makes him immune to pain.

What impresses me about Hatton, is how he uses his footwork in close to open up areas of the body to punch. He really does have great lateral movement. It is subtle though so many do not see it. He creates opportunities with it. Will it work against Mayweather? Hard to say, but up until now it has served him well. Hatton is not one dimensional like some people seem to think.

when you're hitting it at full velocity for 15 rounds shows me a hell of allot

I think it's great that hatton is getting a bunch of supporters including some new ones from the U.S....i just don't want to see them breaking thier ankles jumping off the bandwagon after the fight. Most people are supporting floyd loosing not so much hatton winning, at least around here that is the case. Maybe it'll be a draw then everyone will be happy :laugh:

Mayweather was doing that too but his body bag was just a big fat dude. With a small padding on his gut ;)

Watching Mayweather's fat mate walk him down with the body gear on makes me think Mayweather is going to try a stop the body puncher with body shots

Hatton is gonna be hittin arm and elbow all night ;)

Turncoat? Well I'm not apart of the mayweather army and if you'll read the post you'll see that i didn't pick hatton to win either...just simply giving props where they are due..

Floyd's scared he's actually inmtimidated :o

I never thought I'd say it here, but I'm really begining to think Hatton can do for 12 rounds what Oscar did for 6 and that will make him a winner.
I'll be watching the reruns on HBO tonight of Floyd & Oscar and afterwards Hatton and Castillo real close.

honestly, depite Hattons style not being my favourite i like the guy as im British obviously so i would say im a fan. This is the one fight however i wont back him in becuase PBF has been my favourite for years now! Style wise anyways!
