Kessler has looked superior, but i'm not writing off Jeff.
I don't think he'll take a Kessler fight yet, he's rebuilding and needs a LOT more time first.

It's funny we ALL would say Kessler would beat up on Jeff now,but before the Calzaghe fight,we ALL except for the most HARDCORE of Kessler fans thought that Jeff would batter Kessler and Kessler was nothing but an over rated fighter from Europe!

How wrong we were,including myself. At this stage,Kess would beat on Jeff,but I wouldn't totally rule out Lcy,IF and its a big if,he can get his form,pre Joe fight,back.

I never thought Lacy would beat up Kessler, i see Lacy fights before Calzaghe fight, and i see him struggle with mediocre fighters like Omar Sheika and Syd Vanderpool, i never thought Lacy was much. But after his last couple of fights my estimation of him has gone even more down, i gave him benefit of the doubt against Vitali Tsypko, because of the injury but there was no excuse for his poor performance against an average fighter like Manfredo. opponent's like Manfredo if your world class your supposed to blow away comfortably, sorry but i did give Lacy a chance to impress and he failed there was no excuse for his performance against Manfredo, Kessler will give Lacy a beating.

Unless Kessler says something substiantially different in the actual paper than what is reported online, including say http://sporten.tv2.dk/article.php/id...2.html?forside, then this is really to make a big deal out of nothing.

They speak about Kessler going to the US (which is a bit of news), and when asked about Lacy Kessler confirms that it he wouldnt mind taking the fight, if HBO put it together. Which obviously means that yes, Kessler is ready for Lacy. But so is probably just about any other smw who saw Lacy's fight against Manfredo.

Well, I felt I was picking on Cintron too much, so I decided to share equally with another deserving p.o.s. Someone who just sits there and stares at the clock on a big night under the lights against Lacy deserves his due attention. So sorry :'(

Lacy did give it his all. Thats all he has left. Joe beat the fight out of him. ;D

This will be nothing more then a showcase for Kessler....I was really hoping Jeff would show us something on Saturday but he looked bad....I can't really say why...Shoulder?...His heart did not really seem into it at times.....Kessler is not a smart move for him...the payday itself will not be big enough to make up for the end of his career....

IMO his camp should take some more small fights in hopes of Jeff pulling it together before going for broke

HaHa doesn't bother me.

I myself gave Lacy the benefit of the doubt because of the surgery, but i truely feel Manfredo should be prosecuted for not taking advantage of Lacy's ring rust!

Lacy's mobility/footwork is shocking now. He seems to stagger and shamble through fights after a couple of rounds.

I saw the fight where he did his shoulder and he looked quite good for a round or so, but he didn't even manage that against Manfredo. There's no way he's world class at the minute.

If he fights Kessler he'll get another one-sided beating, except Kessler might have the power to KO him. Not a good option for Lacy.

Lacy needs to build his punch rate and confidence back up against bums first if he fought Kessler now he would'nt see round 7.

shit i bet he is after seeing lacy on saturday. If that lacy shows up to fight kessler, he might beat him worse than joe did.

Jeff is a very good fighter a good kid , IMO Jeff needs a few matches to work on things , before taking on this challenge, coming off a debilitating injury and surgery take your time mate !

Jeff will need all cylinders firing in order to beat this Kessler fellow. I believe he has what it takes mentally and physically to accomplish such a task in due time. At the moment the punches are coming off a bit slow , telegraphed .

Peter deserves it. And for the record. I think Kessler makes a fool out of Lacy.

Lacy has a punchers chance and that's all he has.

Why the hell would Kessler want to fight Lacy after that travesty? Why not look for someone else to beat up that's worth something?

Kessler/lacy would be just like kessler/andrade except lacy wouldn't be able to take those bombs from kessler, he would be dropped and down with in 4

Aren't they already sacrificing Lacy to Tarver, or is that not happening now that Lacy's so obviously done? It would be nice if that boring-ass Manfredo fight at least led to a quicker Tarver-Dawson matchup.

but this fight against Lacy will be a great possibility for Kessler to been well-known in US,from now on,Kessler will be avoided like the plague by other top dog in SMW(Bute/Inkin/froch) or he can fight a guy like Berrio, who can no longer make big money fights. "beat that bum" Manfredo is no bum, he is someone who puts his health on the line everytime he steps into that ring. sure in years to come very few will remeber him, but he tried, what more can he do? if every non-world class fighter retired after they failed to win a title boxing would have fuck all people left in it.

Bottom line, Lacy was obviously ring rusted and a little apprehensive about letting the left fly consistently. If Lacy was to fight Kessler in 6 months he would get his azz beat down... if he had 3 fights where he looked like he was making signigant progress, then I would say it would make for a good fight.

Well, Lacy is sure as hell not ready for Kessler. Everyone knows it, including Jeff. He needs to get back to basics and get a few keep busy fights in and get his shit together. If he were to fight even Tarver next without any more tune up or nothin, I'd have to pick Tarver to most likely stop him, or least beat him up pretty bad.
