This should be a good fight,it's over at boxing scene.Graham seems intent on Ricky fighting at 140,regardless of how much $$$ he could earn from fighting Oscar.Is that sensible?

Yes!!
Hatton doesn't take a punch well at 147, and you can bet that DLH at 147 hits a great deal harder than Floyd or Collazo. I believe that Ricky's only shot against DLH at 147 would be if Oscar had to really kill himself to make weight (highly possible given he hasn't fought there in years).
Ricky belongs at 140. His health and success is more important than money IMO.

Alot of people think Paulie will get KO, but i don't think so Paulie took a hammering off Cotto and was still fighting back. Hatton will have troubles with Paulie's quick hands, i see Hatton winning UD but not easily by any means, i would like to see Torres vs Hatton aswell.

Paulie is a real tough fight back for Hatton but so is Witter and Torres Hatton could end up racking some losses up here.

This is actually the fight I want for Hatton. Slick fighter, but a none puncher who has a belt at 140 that Hatton never lost in the ring and has slagged Hatton off alot. He's also been on both HBO & Showtime and the fight would please American networks. Plus Paulie is from the US and a win would get a much needed confidence boost for Hatton in another Uk vs. US battle.
Also...should Hatton win it sets up unification with Witter, Torres or little Gav.

What Junior fails to understand is that he has to do something more to get himself noticed at a higher level. Unify against Torres, avenge his Judah defeat or beat D-Hop so that people recognise who the fuck he is. Outside of the UK "Junior who" is the consensus. I do wonder what his promotional team are doing with him at times to make him go reletively unnoticed.

Hatton is now a decent name in America. Not huge but he's worked hard to get to where he is. Why throw all that away for a domestic fight with Witter? And Witter is an unknown stateside,so that fight looks like a no-on to me. I think a Paulie fight is a good move.

I agree with some of that, but I'm sure a Witter fight would generate as much money as a PM fight if they fought in Wembley as a homecoming for Hatton, even though Hatton lost, his popularity might actually be higher at the moment back home.
I don't think avenging Judah would make Witter much more of a name anyway, and it would have to be at 147, which Junior isn't, as well as the fact that fight would actually be very hard for Junior to make in itself, not much more JW could do really than what he has done other than a unifucation.

Hatton-Powderpuff isn't a BIG fight. Powderpuff is known in the US, he's not a big star.
That fight would be NOTHING compared to Hatton-Witter in England.
That fight would be NOTHING compared to Hatton-Rees in England ( ;D).
If Hatton chooses to carry-on fighting in the States, then yeah, him and powederpuff makes sense at MSG.
BUT.. Witter deserves the Hatton fight over powderpuff. Fact.

Ricky at the momenet has another problem other than weight. He has failed to let his hands go in recent fights. His bread and butter upto his 40th fight was his volume punching...where ha s it gone? Has he neglected his body to the opint where his once famed stamina is eroded and average or is it a confidence thing?
All I know is, coming into the second phase of his career my fighter had better take care of himself in between fights and train with volume, because i never want to see him beaten again...way too painful.

And Ice personally yes i rate the Ndou and Edner fights more then i do a corley and harris fight
Harris and corley are a fair bit past it and frankly although both real good fighters its blatant that witter would beat them, He gets props for stopping viv but just for the stoppage , the win was always gona happen.. And lets not forget.. One was a title fight and harris was a mandatory..
Now look at it on paulies side, Ndou was a title fight which is fair play..He doesnt shout how great the opponent was.. But its highly evident he can hang well in with 140 cotto and edner is fresh young and a great fighter.. The difference being what has edner done since loosing.. Fought on kept winning and fought the undercard or Undefeated.. Corley and harris have faded away, Cos they are done

Aside from Hatton WITTER is the BEST in the division.

The difference is Hatton and Witter are Brits that live a couple hours apart. They built-up a rivalry to the point where Hatton had it written into a contract with Warren that he would get to face Witter. This was BEFORE they became "world" champions. Before Hatton became a BIG star.
If Hatton is fighting the stars - Floyd, Cotto, Oscar - then fair enough, Witter doesn't get a look in. But if Paulie or Torres are worthy then Witter most defintely is.

I'd like to see another 140 card like Hatton/Urango and Castillo/Ngoudjo tournament style except Witter/Malignaggi and Hatton/Torres Wembley stadium is fine for me. that would set-up a superfight where Witter or Malignaggi would have proven worthiness by beating the other. Furthermore
Hatton could further prove himself by beating "the guy that knocked Cotto down."

Witter is a prick. Why should Hatton hand him a pyday when he has done nothing but slag him off for 8 years. On top of that, he is boring to watch so Hatton would probably lose a million just to take a fight that would have limited ppv sales in the states. At least Paulie has a following in the states and in reality Ricky would probably get more respect for a win over him than Witter.

Witter is a champion though and is therefore useful. Ricky should pick up a Title from him (hopefully!) And go on to conquer the world completely at 140.

Because Witter deserves his shot, Witter has been calling out Hatton for years its about time the fight happened. Witter is arguably the 2nd best Jr Welterweight in the world so why shouldn't he get his shot ??

I believe he is the second best light welter in the world, he's stronger than Paulie, better technically than Torres and more expierienced than Hopkins etc.
