Andy Lee vs. Jason McKay round by round
Pretty big domestic match up here in Ireland, not sure if the rest of the world cares... but here is a round by round anyway. Fight is coming up soon, for the Irish super-middleweight title.
1 analyst went for Lee, the other for McKay.
Lee on his way to the ring now...

McKay was being punished.... He put up a good effort and for someone like Lee whos got only 13 fights coming into this one it was a good little test there early in the fight.

Manny Murphy, haha.
Steward; "Andy Lee is the best middleweight in the world, by the end of 2008 he will knock out Kelly Pavlik. He is the complete fighter etc..."
Knock out Pavlik in 2008...? He must have been down at the pub before the fight. ;D

Re: Andy Lee vs. Jason McKay round by round
Damn, I went to work out for about an hour and missed the fight >:mad Guess Manny is hoping for this kat to do what JT couldn't do against Pavlik :-\

Didn't see that, but if Steward really thinks that then I think he should spend more time with Lee and less time swimming in vats of Guinness.

He said it man, post fight interview. I think Manny was out for a few gargles before the fight... probably got carried away with his Irish top on and stuff, you know how it is. ;D

Think we might soon see Lee v Duddy?

Mouth watering match up man, I certainly hope so.
With every fight that passes I would lean more and more towards Lee though. Duddy is pretty straight up, what you see is what you get. Raw aggression, lots of power and a granite chin. Lee is multi-dimensional and has a handy reach.
Domestically, I think a fight between Duddy and Matthew Macklin would be a potential fight of the year. Both guys mirror each others stlyes, it would be a tear up of the highest order with Duddy probably stopping him in around 9 I reckon. 8)

Havent seen much of Lee, but what i have seen has impressed me. He seems to have lots of tools, many more than Duddy. Big domestic Showdowns are great. Our biggest one in oz for a while was Green v Mundine. I think a Lee v Duddy fight could be similiar to that. Lee could box Duddy's ears off just like Mundine did to Green.

Thing is, Duddy would bring the fans and the profile to this bout more than Andy Lee would. I'm not sure Lee would want to step in against a fans' favourite at the moment, and Duddy showed he's got some nous in overcoming Eastman, though there's still plenty of gaps to be found in his style.
Whilst it'd be great to watch, and exciting for the fans, I think both guys' teams would see it as too much of a risk in their blossoming careers.

I didnt mean fight straight away, more say in two years when Lee has 20+ fights and Duddy has had a title shot or two.

Re: Andy Lee vs. Jason McKay round by round
Amazing how Mckay was talking about how Lee had no heart and etc and was pounding his heart as the introductions were made.
And Lee ignored it.. and then when andy floored him he started beating his own heart as a message.
Good for Lee

I'll wash the sticky off this one and throw it back into the normal part of the forum. Afterall, if anything's sticky for too long, you'll never get the glue off. ;)
