In all fairness to Hatton, it would be nearly impossible for Ricky not to leave something in that ring. I rewatched the fight, and it was a bit of a demolition. Hatton got taken apart by hard right hands, and ultimately stopped. By a guy he figured that could probably outbox him, but not HURT him.

His pride is surely hurt as he mentioned....but I'm interested to see what the physical effects may be.

i dont believe he will ever be the same man, i klnow that seems a bit extream....

He needs one good fight at 140, to build himself back up mentally. There is no shame in losing to Floyd. He will be back to normal, it just takes time to reflect.

He sounds to me like he has got a cold mate - I wouldn't read too much into the tone of his voice.


Hatton will be back better than ever at 140. He just needs some time off, that's all. He's a young guy, hasn't had too many tough fights and the KO by Floyd wasn't like a sustained beating - the KO came quite quickly.

I think Ricky has about 3 or 4 good fights left in him. And I'll be one of the first to say when I think he should quit, coz I like the guy too much to want to see him get hurt.

Violet surprise - why do you take Torres and Witter to beat Hatton now? Because he was beaten clearly by the number 1 p4p in the world, who anyone with any sense will admit is one of, if not the, greatest fighter of his generation? What skills have Witter and Torres got that Hatton hasn't faced before, and that he can't handle? Mayweather said that Hatton was the toughest fighter he has fought, and even though that might have been an attempt to console Hatton and endear himself to the audience, I do think that Mayweather rates Hatton. If that is the case, then why don't you? Perhaps you are more knowledgeable than the fighter whose victory you seem to be riding on.
