Time to stop running, Big Dan
I see 'Big' (Yoits) Dan McCarthy is online. Come on and post something. Give Mayweather his due. You been very quite since Hatton got knocked the fuck out. In fact you ain't said shit since Dec 7. You still in mourning?
-
Re: Time to stop running
man, why you gotta single out someone like this. Everyone gets it wrong sometimes ;)
-
Re: Time to stop running
I know I was real upset about Hatton losing like that; but life goes on and crying about sh#t won't change anything. Plus I knew he'd lose anyways, so I was ready; just didn't expect him to run out of brake fluid and hit the corner post ;D People that can't handle their fighter losing shouldn't talk alot of b.s., as they look like sore losers when they play hide and go seek after the fact ::**
-
Re: Time to stop running
I don't know about you guys but I don't even think hatton saw the ring post to even think of hitting the brakes ;D
classic mayweather for ya, finally we see how a p4p #1 should end a fight. I love it!!!!!
-
Re: Time to stop running
Dan's alright. Me and him cool. But he ran his mouth a lot. And I just noticed he hadn't posted shit in the aftermath. Now I see he online and I think it's time he comes out and give Mayweather his proper due. And it's my duty to force it out of him.

give him time bRo, he'll heal up sooner or later ;D. me and legion wanted hatton to win too but damn that was a beautiful left hook from floyd. Thats why we love boxing to anticipate a moment like that, even if its against the fighter we cheer for.

As men we should all be able to admit when we are wrong, and when predicting these fights we are all gonna be wrong one time or another, for fucks sake I thought Tito was going to KO Hopkins inside of 3 I WAS WRONG. Like Legion said it's a shame people have to be sore losers like that, but there are a couple of people online who even when wrong will live in denial and change their opinions over and over, those people should have no credibility here

Re: Time to stop running
Maybe if I put Dan's name in the thread title, he'll come around. I mean damn the guy use to be a consisted poster. Now muthafucka ain't posted shit in 11 days. Fuck that. I can't let that shit slide. I'm a make that boy give Mayweather his credit
-
Re: Time to stop running
I don't think the left was that beautiful, as on its own Hatton would not have been hit with it. What was beautiful was the way Mayweather gave a display of controlled boxing for so many rounds (apart from a couple of blips). He has that shot in his locker, but he would not have been able to land it in the early rounds. What I like is that Mayweather took the pressure for the first few rounds, and then had liberty to choose his shots. Then again, maybe he didn't choose to do anything, maybe it was just natural ability. The more I see him, the more I think Mayweather is a combination of George Best and Roy Keane, sublime skill and instinct, coupled with dedication, hard work and an ability to handle the rough stuff. In other words - special beyond belief.

You can't make someone give someone credit if he doesn't want to reply ::** Well; maybe you could ;D

VD loves kicking people when they're down. He has said you don't know what you're missing if you've never done it before

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
Looks like Big Dan took off; you'll have to wait for your praise of Floyd until another day when Danny boy feels better.

He put himself in that position. He should of never ran his mouth as much as he did. And since he's doing this little disappearing act, it's my job to kick him. He should be online taking his shots like the other Hatton groupies. And I don't want to hear that "he was busy" or he got "things going on" excuse cuz I be seeing his ass online. If he got time to read, he got time to post.

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
.....Jermain Taylor squeaks by Spinks and Ouma and people give him a ton of shit and Floyd Mayweather is troubled by Ricky Hatton and all of a sudden "it's time to give Floyd his due"
.......Floyd is a GREAT fighter don't get me wrong, and I am no Hatton nut hugger, I just figure there is some kind of wicked double standard here.

Mayweather was troubled by Hatton?

To this point I am not so sure what to think of the fight....did Floyd allow for Ricky to fight his fight only to humiliate him later on OR did Ricky just do a good job of pressuring Floyd?
Floyd is still a great boxer but fighting Ricky Hatton never seemed to me to be as big of a challenge as fighting Miguel Cotto.....I don't mind it and I can fault him but I am still wondering if Floyd just handicapped the fight or he actually had trouble.....Floyd didn't run as much that's for sure but it just sort of gets my mind working on it because he looked FAAAAAAR from spectacular in the early to middle rounds, rounds 8 and 9 he looked very good, like he should have the entire fight.

Where u even watching the same fight? Ricky won 3 rounds at best and got KTFO in 10. Hardly a super hard night for Floyd. To compare that to the Spinks v Taylor fight is completely ludicrous. Floyd dominated Ricky, probably more than anyone predicted. You need to have another look at the fight i feel. Maybe with your anti-floyd glasses off.

Hatton landed flush about 5 or 6 times the whole fight. He landed only 18% of his punches. I think Mayweather defense was outstanding. But the point of this thread is not to give Mayweather his due. It's about one poster (Big Dan) who ran his mouth a lot before the fight to give Mayweather his due.

I wouldn't have given Hatton a single round, he maybe scored a couple even's but that was it.
As for Dan's disappearance, before the fight he was getting on his moral highhorse saying that people who wanted Floyd to win were showing their true colours as supporters of evil.
Now the righteous and honest Ricky Hatton has been ktfo by the antichrist loud mouth braggard his whole world has probably turned upside down.
I think he was expecting God's judgement on Floyd for his wickedness but instead he blessed him with his best KO ever and the new most popular avatar on the internet ^-^

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
....well if Ricky is so shit then why couldn't Mayweather whip his ass faster? And if Floyd is so freaking good why doesn't he get a belt at middleweight or better yet UNIFY ONE DIVISION HE SETS FOOT IN?
I don't doubt Floyd's ability but to say he breezed through a fight with Hatton is just as ridiculous as saying he breezed through the fight vs Oscar....he had trouble with both of them....no not like the Castillo fight but he didn't have an easy go of it....he didn't dominate them the way he dominated Corrales!
And yes I watched the entire fight and Floyd's inability to land serious punches or avoidance of landing hard punches until later in the fight cost him. Ricky won most rounds on my scorecard on ring generalship (controlling the pace) and effective aggression (ie he made Mayweather fight his fight)....or Floyd just decided not to fight his own fight...either way he didn't impress me as he has in the past.
I'm not saying Rick was whipping his ass but Ricky was winning rounds and he was in the fight until he got rocked with that one solid right cross...and he pressed too hard after the foul. I still had Ricky down by 1 round going into the 10th

Well u scored it the same as all the other Floyd haters then, and comppletely different to all the experts. You must be right...... Floyd beat Hatton as easy as anyone could expect to beat another top ten P4P fighter similiar in weight.

were you blind folded and listening to HBO when you scored the fight? ... Now I don't feel bad you thought Oscar-Mayweather was close because you obviously don't know how to score a Mayweather fight even if its so obviously in his favor.

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
I didn't witness Big Dan talkin all this crap but if VD says its true then it must be true. ;D
He should get his butt in here though. I talked the MOST SHAT EVER before the Mayorga vs. Delahoya fight, and had to come on here and eat my words. And I did. It sucked but I did. There is no way Big Dan talked even half as much shat as me, and I seriously doubt that he's as big of a Hatton fan as I was and still am a Mayorga fan.
Big Dan get your ass in here and take it like a man!!!
-
Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
Sorry but i took my medicine when one of my favorite fighters lost *Barrera* and even changed my name for 1 month. Dan was calling me a traitor because i went with Mayweather because i like him as a fighter, he also questioned my family loyalties because i wouldn't side with Hatton because im from UK. And he talked a lot of of crap to me so im in total agreement with VD its about time to man up and take his medicine.

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
Now come on, VD Dan's favourite fighteer (and mine) got Ko'd. A lot of guys need some time away from boxing after a disappointment like that. Before the fight he showed Hatton serious support, he put his faith in Rick and unfortunately he was disappointed. Perhaps after such a big personal upset he logs onhere onlyto find he's lost his lust for boxing ???
I too was gunning for Hatton. I predicted Hatton to KO Mayweather in the Tenth and i desperately wanted Hatton to win. So why don't I get called out? (Although I did credit Floyd)
You yourself put a lot of faith in Kessler, you said he'd beat Calzaghe. He didn't, but nobody set up a thread to provoke you....C'mon dude mutual respect between expierienced posters.
Hsn't anyone noticed that there are considerably less Hatton guys around now and their have been a lot of disappearances??? They're disheartened, they may come back they may not. If they come back it's for boxing, If they don't it's obviois they were just Hatton sunshine supporters.

No I just try to be realistic about his accomplishments and the fight....Ricky got KO'd but Floyd didn't pitch a shut out the way he did vs Baldomir and he didn't demolish Ricky the way he did Corrales
Also I am sick and fucking tired of people discrediting the fighters Floyd beats and then hailing Floyd as "Great"....you can't have it both ways....either the opponent was good which makes beating them an accomplishment or the opponent was crap and therefore fighting them in the first place was a waste of everyone's time

Hsn't anyone noticed that there are considerably less Hatton guys around now and their have been a lot of disappearances??? They're disheartened, they may come back they may not. If they come back it's for boxing, If they don't it's obviois they were just Hatton sunshine supporters.
So what if someones fighter lost and they need time to get away for a while? Before they take that time off they should at least come onto the board they got so vocal on and give the winner his credit. Then they can take their time off and go into mourning.
When Kessler lost you didn't see VD take 2 weeks off before he gave Joe his credit. If you can't give a guy his due after he whoops your fighter then don't make foolish comments beforehand. God knows if Floyd would have lost, "Big" Dan would have been on here 24/7{haha} talking mad sh#t. I know I hated Ricky losing, and though I knew Floyd would win and I'm a fan of his, reading the comments on this board in the days following the fight were painful. Oh well, too bad!!
The huge Hatton fans{myself included} shouldn't be upset at Floyd, he did his job, they should be upset with Ricky for having the nerve to think he could beat the p4p best in the world after barely beating Collazo who isn't even an entity at 147. Ricky should have climbed that ladder a bit more cautiously. He got his payday and his a## whooped, so it's time to start over. Quit crying about it and if you can't take what you dish out then STFU.
You know HitmanDonny I'm not attacking you personally, right? :)

Re: Time to stop running, Big Dan
I know that man. (And you know you can take the piss and make fun of me and there won't be any ill feeling between you and I, you prick (just kiddin ;)))
I know because first thing I did monday morning was make a thread saying I was wrong and giving Mayweather his props.
I don't hate Floyd for beating my Guy, I gained a truck load of respect for him.
But I don't think it's fair one guy be singleed out. We're all here to enjoy ourselves and when guys take shots at you Saddo's becomes less enjoyable and eventaully even a chore. This isn't just a website, this is a community and as such targeting one person is the equivalent of calling out one person in real life.
This is a great site, why go and take the fun out of it?

I agree it's unfair to single one guy out, but that's VD. Also, like you said, several guys have disappeared, and since "Big"Dan is seen lurking around and was vocal about Floyd, he is going to get targeted. When Casamayor got his gift decision against Santa Cruz there were quite a few who singled out VD because he's a fan. I'm sure if Kermit Cintron does some magical feat I'll get crucified on here as I am so vocal about him being a cur cry baby. All I'm saying is; if you can't take it don't dish it out. That's just fueling the fire around Saddo's.
