<- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Looks like it's set Paulie vs. Ngoudjo for Jan. 5th @ Bordwalk Hall. It landed on Showtime. The entire card looks good.
Paul Malignaggi vs. Herman Ngoudjo
Glen Johnson vs. Mike Culbert
Guillermo Sanchez vs. Nicky DeMarco
Lovemore N'dou vs. Rafael Ortiz
Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Freddie Norwood
Chazz Witherspoon vs. Kendrick Releford
I know lil' Hagler is a showdow of himself now but it's a nice name to have on your record for looks at least.
Chazz will also be on there. The very unfortunate part is that none of those fights will be televised. >:mad
So now Hattons left standing there looking for an opponent. I know he might not be hurting for one but Paulie would have been a good fight for him.

Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Paulie and Ngoudjo traded some words..... ;D
Paulie:
Malignaggi: You opened your mouth now be ready to back it up....I'm going to talk to you when I'm kicking your a--. When I'm using your head as a pinball I'm going to tell you what I'm doing to you. I'm going to remind you about this conversation while I'm kicking your a--....I'm the best you've ever fought you stupid bast---. Do you understand that?...I've been in with sparring partners better than you!
Ngoudjo:
Everything you say just makes me laugh....I'm going to kick your a--....you're going to go down....I'm going to punish you....I'm going to prove who Herman Ngoudjo is....you're going to be my wife....I'm going to make you dance for me, then you go down!

Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Freddie Norwood should be very interesting. Which it was being shown
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
The Glen Johnson fight will be shown? That is looking like a set-up showcase for the Dawson fight , also a showtime guy. Glen might serve himself to let the guy look decent against him so Dawson doesnt get scared away. Johnson should make short work of Culbert.

I'd love to see how Gamboa looks. They are bringing him along fast.
His opponents will have a combined record of 148-26-4 when the Norwood fight happens.
Not bad for a guy in his 8th fight.
Watch out all the big guys at 135.

Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Gamboa-Norwood is surprising to say the least. Didn't even know Freddie was still fighting to be honest.
Not sure what to think about Ngoudjo, he looked pretty good for a while in the Augustus fight but then was pretty much out in the final round. Augustus was never a puncher and because of that I was sure that Castillo was gonna stop him, but that clearly turned out to be a older lesser version of Castillo. I'm not as high on Paulie as some people, he survived and showed some heart and did well in spots against Cotto but that's the best thing on his resume, Cherry and N'dou are just solid wins not big time wins by any means. Still he'll probably jab and move and win a UD over Herman.

Sadly he is...
He made a comeback in 2006 and in his last fight he was DQ'd for low blows...

???
Hatton has been left standing?
This fight was signed before ricky lost to floyd or had fought floyd..
Ricky has only just fought and this is a month or so later..
Paulie still has a rematch with lovemore to attend to..But im thinking he is hoping to make Ndou wait that out..Fight Ngoudjo.. fight hatton.. Fight Ndou
But hatton just lost his first fight and he has to be gutted.. And paulie likes to stay active so.. They could fight as early may/june thats perfect timing for ricky

Sorry! I must have missed the news that it had been signed....
Also I thought I saw a thread here yesterday that said "Hatton want's Paulie" so when I went to fightnews and saw this I figured it had just been signed.... Goes to show how things can be missed around here.

I think it might happen late next year.. Probs about oct/ november

Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Should be a good fight i think Pualie will win by a comfortable decsion if he boxes smart and moves right and uses the jab.
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Paulie has been talking in the lead up to this fight as if he expects a stoppage. I can see Paulie winning well but by no means will he stop Ngoudju
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Should be a goodie, they are both up for it, but were both a bit bitchy in the run up to it. I think PM will box to a UD here but it wont be easy for him
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
Think if Paulie does well his fight with Ricky hatton while look even better can not wait PM is going to box Hatton socks off i can not wait for it.

Yuriorkis Gamboa Is Moving Up Fast
http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...1770&cat=boxer
He is fighting Freddie Norwood when he has had only 7 pro fights impressive.
-
Re: Yuriorkis Gamboa Is Moving Up Fast
He's an impressive prospect, one of the best in boxing.
Wonder if he's a guy who can fight at multiple divisions though, only 5'4, maybe 5'5 at best. He should be allright at 130, maybe 135 but a 5'4 jr. welter? That's pretty small.
I don't know what to say about the Norwood fight, he was tough to look good against, a tough guy but I didn't even know he was still fighting and apparently he lost his last fight by DQ. Have no idea what he's got left.
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
This should be a good fight....I am going with Paulie but Herman will have his moments....Assuming Malignaggi does not get to cockey in the fight he should outbox and win a UD

Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
What is the name of this card? Feather Fists Gone Wild?
LOL
-
Re: <- Paulie vs. Ngoudjo set for Jan. 5th on Showtime ->
I'm eagerly anticipating this fight as I feel a decnt performance will set up a clash with Hatton.

The amount he has been opening his mouth,Paulie needs to win and look good doing it imo. I favour him to win for sure.

Anyone know anything about Luque then?
