CC for the interview, hopefully Ricky can bounce back.
I feel bad for Ricky. I sort of wanted him to win but then again, I was already told by the Oracle that it would indeed be Miguel 'Angel of War' Cotto who will take Floyd out. What can I say, I still sort of wanted Ricky to win. For what it is worth, Cotto will avenge Ricky.
;)
Chin up Ricky. Stay at 140 and own them fools there is all I can say.
Poor Rick, still sounds gutted.
Ricky Hatton is an now exposed fraud,I'm indeed overjoyed that he was destroyed .
Nice to see we are gonna get a UK fight this year. I hope he keeps in decent shape over christmas and comes out firing by april/may.
From the article ...
"... I am still the undisputed Light welterweight World champion" --- Ricky Hatton
Uh Huh ::** sc ricky
get over it ricky, you have nothing to be ashamed of. you have one lost in nearly 50 fights and that lost came from a bigger guy who came down from 154 and you coming up from 140 to fight a guy regarded by most as the number 1 pound for pound in boxing. you have far more going for you then 80% of the men in the world so suck it up and get back down to 140 and hold it by its neck.
good luck!
This is starting to look like another case of Cooney losing to Holmes where all he did was keep apologizing to his fans...
It is a sport...you are going to lose eventually....very very rare does a guy go undefeated in his career especially at an elite level.....
Hopefully Hatton can pull out of his funk...If he can not get past this mentally his career will be in trouble even at 140
Why does he feel the need to keep apologizing to his fans. He did his best and thats it everyone loses when faced with tough competition over and over again. Now move on and forget about that ASS WHOOPIN you took.
That makes 2 of usQuote:

I agree if he wants to say sorry he should get another fight lined up.
He is not the undisputed light welter weight champ. What a total idiot for even thinking that!
But he is the best fighter at 140. He beat the best the weight class had to offer in Jose Luis Castillo. A lot of people thought he would win that fight and Hatton got him out there in 4 rounds. He will beat anybody at 140 mark my words. The only threat to him there now would be Juan Diaz if he moved up. Thats a career defining fight for Ricky.
People often learn 10 times more from their mistakes and failures/losses than they do from their victories....
He'll be back, and their is still some good fights out there for him to take.... Losing to Mayweather isn't enough to put him out of the game...
He needs to start organizing a fight a.s.a.p. back at 140...
You can't say you're the best when you don't even hold a single title in the division.
WBC champ Witter haqs only ever been beaten once. By "Super" Zab Judah. When he had to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks.
He also never beat Cotto at 140. He has to win the titles to be the best. Otherwise his claim to being the best is as good as mine.
Does manny Pac have a belt? is he the best in his devision?....thought so ;)
Its not all about having a belt, its about the names you fight and how you do it.
Well thats Witters fault for losing that fight isnt it. He was so stupid enough to take a fight so early, so that has nothing to do with it. Even if he was fully prepared he would have got beaten by Zab Judah.
He wanted Cotto and it was going to happen, Cotto fights at 147, Hatton fights at 140. End of it really.
But "Pacman" does have a belt.
WBC International super featherweight title same one he defended, WBC International super bantamweight title.
How can you possibly say "he would of been beaten". You don't know that.
Yes Cotto fights at 147 now and so did Hatton in his last fight. Cotto has beaten more big names so that if he went down to light welter he would be the best. Same goes for Mayweather.
You're living in the past, obviously you agree with Hopkins being one of the best p4p. I however think he is old news beaten twice by not even a top 10 pound for pound.
You're only as good as you're last fight and the titles you hold. Hatton has none.
If you think Pacmans belt is the reason he is the best, you have something seriously wrong. That belt means absouslty JACK SHIT ! Hes the best because hes beaten the best and proved his is number one. Like Ricky Hatton did, he moved up to try and be the best in the world and lost to the best in the world. It doesnt mean that makes him any worser of a fighter than he was last time.
Hatton is the best in the devision, Junior Witter isnt. If they got in the ring Hatton would knock him out.
I think Cotto-Hatton would be an amazing fight. And I actually want Hatton to stay at 147 to fight him but I understand why he cant.

Why when a boxer loses a fight these days its seen as the end of the world?
Ray Robinson, Ali, Loius, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Tyson, Pep...what do they all have in common? They all lost. Hatton is ne of the finest light-welters of all time in my opinion and to call him a fraud for losing to mayweather is well wide of the mark.
What's all this about Ricky not-having a belt. At the moment he holds the IBO and to my knowledge holds the Ring belt at 140lbs. He's also won the IBF belt twice and the WBA belt at 140lbs. None of the past belts were taken off him in the ring. He's only given them up to move up in weight or to make a better fight than his mandatory defence dictated. He will fight for belts again at 140.
And you have now been exposed as a hater take your 12th :sadclick:Quote:

Agreed... But Malignaggi and Witter sure pose a huge threat form a stylistic standpointQuote:

See my 1st reply in reference to Witter and Malignaggi who both deserve a shot at Hatton, especially Paulie if he wins next weekQuote:
