Never expected him to fight Romanov so soon!!

Fair play a good step up, they're obviously starting to begin their siege on the world scene.
this actually looks like a guy with a punch too :-\
you all know that I have said from day one Khan would be found out and kayoed within 16 fights....
That wont be offial yet..
All that boxrec is going on is that warren said live on air khan will definately fight on feb 2nd because obv that is the next show and having trained for a big fight, his biggest yet he blows him out in round1 so hes unmarked in shape and its all over in three minutes so stick him on the next card.. And of course the next move is romanov and those are the rumours and the fight they want but its not been announced official..Boxrec has been known for jumping the gun and setting fights on rumour but most dont believe solely on boxrec these days
Are boxrec that easy to persuade  If so I'll say that i'm gonna challenge Floyd Mayweather Jr and see can I get my name up!!!!
I agree he looks like a guy with a punch and also he did loose a decision to graham earl.. so maybe he has a decent chin aswell..
But boxing wise getting the wrong side of a decision against earl then amir should have the skill to take this dude
If they think he can beat Romanov why is he not fighting Thaxton next?
:-\
Because as you said they think they can beat him.Quote:

Romanov is better than Thaxton.
I don't really know.Quote:

Thaxton is more finished (maybe not as good, but more complete,) so I could see Tahxton being better as he would have less gaps than Romanov.
Nice one ccQuote:

Thanks
Good step up but Khan will beat Romanov easier than people expect ;)
After what he did to Earl my doubts are gone i think he stops this guy quick then bring on Thaxton it is funny how you could'nt shut Thaxton up he was im going to do this to Kahn that to Kahn then Kahn batters Earl and Thaxton shuts up.
Khan is back on track after destroying Earl. He will win the well inside the distance.
will be a tough fight for Khan but I believe he can do it. He has really started to show that he is on track for a title shot and if he can get a good win here he is certainly on his way. I think hes learnt a lot from the Limond fight and ever since then he gets the nod from me. He impressed me that night a lot !
He will never beat Juan Diaz he better avoid him like the plague.Quote:

Jonny Eames new Earl had nothing left and that is why he did not want to train him anymore.
Most def. Khans toughest test thus far.Quote:

Romanov can move well, hes a smart boxer and I can def. see him walking away with the win. If Khan beats Romanov he's def. earned a shot at being ranked for one of the titles.
That's exactly how it should be though. At this stage each fight should be a step up and with each new fight he should be able to say he will be my toughest opponent.Quote:

Is this official yet because i heard elsewhere (frank watrren tv) he was fighting in a wbo title eliminator against a highly ranked unknown
Boxrec have got Khan fighting Martin Kristjansen on feb 2nd for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title in the ExCel ARENA
yeh thats the guy i heard he was fighting and it was for said title.....and warren was speaking to the wbo about trying to make it a world title eliminator.Quote:

I'm not sure where the rumours he was fighting Romanov have come from but as far as I know there is no truth to them

Call me crazy but I think in another year or so Khan will do very against Diaz.Quote:

I just can't see Khan allowing Diaz to throw all those punches at him like his last few opponents have done.
It will be a real tear up imo and Khan would certainly give Diaz problems.
The fight may well end up with Khan being knocked out but I reckon it be one hell of a tear up whilst it lasted and honestly the way Khan has progressed in the last year or who knows in another year he might be an absolute beast.
He's got the speed and power to hurt anyone in the division imo, his chin is still a questionmark but David Haye has a similar problem and still became the undisputed cruiserweight champ and I really think Khan can do the same.
He has a true fighter's spirit and heart, something you can't train for. I think he's going to be a superstar, bigger than Benn and Eubank, maybe bigger than Hatton and Calzaghe.
I actually think he is more talented than Hatton and Calzaghe.....especially at 21 years old.
I think he would give Diaz a whole lot of problems
Kahn looks like he will physically peak in about 18 months time and when he does he will be an absolute animal.
If he is fighting Romanov then it's definitely a tough test!
Has this fight been changed? Boxrec have altered the schedule to show Kahn facing Martin Kristjansen (19-1-3)
Also an article confirming change:
Boxer Amir Khan to face Martin Kristjansen in February
Boxer Amir Khan's next fight will be on 2 February when he takes on Denmark's Martin Kristjansen at London's ExCel Arena for the nominal WBO intercontinental lightweight crown.
However, Amir Khan's promoter Frank Warren said: "I will writing to the WBO with the aim of making this fight as an eliminator for the world title."
Amir Khan, 21, wants to continue his rise up the world rankings after defeating former British champion Graham Earl in just 72 seconds on 8 December.
Martin Kristjansen, 30, has an impressive 19-1-3 professional record as a boxer, and has won his last eight fights, with only five wins as the result of a stoppage.
Considering this, Frank Warren added: "This is another step up for Amir. Kirstjansen is world ranked and will give him plenty to think about.
"Amir has only just turned 21, but he looked absolutely sensational in demolishing an experienced former champion in Graham Earl."
Yup, Kristijansen next and then we have purse bids for Thaxton v Khan with the BBBofC, so it's pretty certain that the next six months for Khan are sorted.
Kristjansen only has 3 Ko's but by all accounts he's pretty slick. Hardly as threatening as Romanov, but definitely a decent fight for him.
