RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Hatton "can't stop crying"
by Mark Doyle, 20 December 2007
Ricky Hatton has revealed he cannot stop crying in the wake of his devastating welterweight title defeat to Floyd Mayweather.
‘The Hitman’ was stopped in the tenth round of his bout with the WBC champion in Las Vegas a fortnight ago and Hatton freely admits that the loss, the first of his professional career, has had a massive effect on him.
“I feel like a woman at the minute - I can't stop crying. All that's missing is a pair of t*ts,” the 29-year-old Mancunian is quoted as saying by metro.co.uk.
“I feel like my world has come to an end. It's going to take a while for me to get my head round it. The biggest fight of my life was the biggest disappointment.
“I think the problem was I lost my head a bit. I was feeling sorry for myself.”
However, Hatton is not entertaining any thoughts of retirement and is planning to drop back down to 140lbs and prove that he is still one of the finest fighters in the world.
“I'm still the best light-welterweight in the world, so I'll get over it,' he claimed. “I'll be back.”

So he has a fanny ??? lol anyways you have to admire him he is one funny character saying that and hopefully he will come back but whether he's the same man or not as before is another question.

They better put Ricky on a suicide watch and make sure he does not drown his sorrows in alcohol at the pub.

British Troll needs to lighten up. He's got nothin to be ashamed of. Crying is NOT the answer. :'(

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Honestly when I read "all that's missing is a pair of tits" I thought this was a made up article, a wind up but nope Ricky actually said it ;D

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
I hope this defeat hasnt affected him mentally. It will be a great shame to see Hatton loose to a fighter at 140. Imagine how gutting it will be to see Paul Malingaggi or Junior Witter beating him.... :-\

Paulie beating him would not supprise me one bit. He has the tools to do it.

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
He will have the tits in a few week when he is Ricky Fatton again he will have moobs ;D only kidding he will be upset but at least he lost to the world's best no shame in crying lets hope he stops all the hook and hold stuff now and goes back to the just throwing punches in his old al out attack style he used to have.

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
How embarassing if this is true. Stop being a b#tch baby. Ricky has himself to blame for this loss. Damn, maybe he is ruined now. Please say it ain't so.

I agree it will be closer than what most people think it would be , but I think Hatton offers that bit more at 140 than Witter.

Ricky is a tough kid, and he will get past this.
However, he won't be the same fighter mentally. You can never re-capture that inner feeling of invincibility. When he is training (or fighting), he now knows that he is one good shot from serious trouble.
It was easy to disregard the 12th round of Collazo as fatigue/short notice/bigger man/ etc. But Floyd was neither a particularly big man, nor a particularly heavy hitter (PBF isn't heavy-handed like Zab Judah at 140/147). And even the earlier shots were buckling RH.
I'm sure Ricky had a tremendous amount of confidence (rightly so) in his chin and durability after facing down Kostya Tszyu, who was a killer. Now, some of that confidence would be (again, rightly) shaken.

lol, seriously fuck Ricky Hatton every other fighter who loses has to get on with it.
I feel a bit sorry for him though. I don't think he'll beat Malignaggi or Junior Witter so his reign as the world's best light welter will soon come its end as well.
Still he can always go after Gavin Rees.

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
He could try abit of stand up he fancies himself as abit of a comedian.

don't talk too much cause Mayweather's the type of fighter that one loss will ruin him
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Mayweather won't lose ;) he could stay retired yet i hope so.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Its a shame for the guy but he believed his own hype. I actually think that in the last couple of weeks leading up to the fight he let his feet off the ground and was flying. That humility he usually shows was gone.
Its unfortunate as he's a kool guy, he should be able to pick himself back up and obviously be competetive again at 140
If not theres always stand up, he can talk about his tittys for cash ;)

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Rick peaked too early, he had no fire left come fight night. I don't care what he said or says even now, Floyd did get under his skin in the end and it cost him. Cortez played a very small part in the outcome of the fight but it was enough to make Ricky crumble in his head and fight like a fruitcake. I'm not surprised Rick is devastated, his dream is now over and I don't think he can recover from this loss fully.

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
At the end of the day Ricky had a dream and as a fan I was there to live it with him. I was 80% sure he would lose as I'm realistic, but there is no fun being realistic sometimes. You gotta support your man no matter what you think the outcome.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Well the most dissapointing day of his life put the most money in his pocket. I wish I could cry about losing to Floyd Mayweather on a ppv sellout.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
There is no crying in boxing. If you wake up and cant buy your kids nothing for christmas or put food on the table that is when you cry. Boxing is a SPORT. Real life things make you cry, get a grip, LOSER

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Mayweather made the late great Diego Corrales cry in the ring during his post fight interview he whooped his @ss so bad. Now little Ricky's crying after getting KTFO by Money Mayweather. Floyd beats 'em like they stole something then sends 'em crying back to mommy :lickish:

STFU, thats pretty classless talkin about Corrales like that. I seriously doubt he made a warrior like Chico cry from the beating he gave him. Have a SC. Choose your words more carefully next time, less you are just trying to get attention or somethin.

Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Man he is going to have enough tears to fill a swimming pool when he gets outboxed by PM.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Also what i think is funney is the man made 40 million dollars for a fight that went 10 out of 12 he was making serious bank on this fight. I think that money will cheer him he can whip his tears with his hundered dollor bills it hard to feel sorry for the man who made that much money.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
Oh man, I wish Ricky didn't say that. Imagine once Mayweather knows that Hatton cried all the crap he will say when he opens his mouth.
-

That was a classless post but it makes a valid point. Mayweather is as clynical, as efficient and as sinister as they come. Almost everyone he faces, he destroys. Mentally.
I cant believe some people are saying Maliginaggi can beat Hatton though... What a load of rubbish.
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
why is it classless? because he's dead? ???
-
Re: RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."
I don't know where they got those quotes from but I doubt they are true. Ricky was at 3 public speaking events this week and was on top form. Even if it was said i'm sure it was in jest.
