Predict big fights for 2008 that no one is expecting
I was just thinking about some "out of left field" fights in 2008.
I think Hatton will rebound against a good opponent at 140, then take Paulie's belt in the summer, and then shock the UK by finally fighting Junior Witter late next year.
I think that Bernard Hopkins will fight JoeCal and lose a close decision and then decide that he needs to end his career on a high note and finally agree to terms with Roy Jones Jr for a rematch.
Oscar De La Hoya will fight Zab Judah in May and then fight none other than Felix Trinidad in September at a 158 catchweight.
Thankfully though, I think that in 2008 we will see the end of an old era and the beginning of a new one with ODLH, SSM, Felix, Roy Jones, B-HOP, Holyfield, and all these old guys stepping away from the limelight and fighting their last fights.

Calzaghe V Pavlik, after Joe Balls beats old man Hopkins who would have thought that he would fight the dangerous Pavlik?
Tszyu makes a comeback at 147-154 V Oscar, don't laugh there have been some rumblings down here about it happening.
Mundine V any top 5 opponent, this may very well be a fantasy.

Here are some fights I'm predicting to come off in 2008. I've also added some other type of predictions at the bottom.
Also it was really hard to try and predict bog fights for 2008 that no ones expecting. I mean as I read thru everyones posts none are unexpected fights I mean really. The only 2 that caught me by surprise were Tito vs. Lacy and Valero vs. J. Diaz.

- Steven Luevano will loose his title in 2008.
- Roman Gonzalez's KO streak will end in 2008. He will also win a tilte from Niida.
- 'Baby Bull' Diaz will move up in weight.
- Nonito will reign supreme at Flyweight in 2008.
- Abner Mares will start off with a good year but I think will loose in late 2008 if and when his competion is moved up.
- Mike Oliver will loose in 2008.
- JuanMa will earn himself at a title in 2008 and will win.
- Roman Martinez will help JuanMa in the PR showcase as think he'll have a big year in 2008.

Whoa, calm down. Steve Forbes is a blown up lightweight. I like Steve Forbes (damn his wife was cute as hell) but he's out of his depth fighting at 147. He's gonna get knocked out.

This past Sat. Santiago almost made my Luevano prediction come true missed it just by a round or two.
I was on fightnews and I just read that Niida will be fighting Roman Gonzalez and if Roman as I predicted wins this fight. I think I've done VERY well in predictions that I made last year.
