~ JMM vs. PAC II ~ The card is begining to shape up really nice.

I was going thru several sites and it appears that the entire card is shaping up really nice.

Here's whats been put on so far:


David Diaz vs. Humberto Soto
*WBC Lightweight title*

Steven Luevano vs. Terdsak Jandaeng
*WBO Featherweight title*

Hugo Cazares vs. TBA

I think I might be alone in this one but yesterday/early morning (not sure what time it was) I posted Luevano would loose his title in 2008. Call me crazy but I think Terdsak might be the one to do it.

Really loooking forward to that fight.

The whole card should be hot...Shame that the PBF/Hatton undercard did not have the same flair to it

I really like soto but off a loss (somewhat Convincing) he jumps up and lands a shot at Diaz??I like the style match up but I am really not a fan of Division jumping and walking right into a title fight,regardless of previous streak.Hope he lets his hands go ,Diaz is predictable but will make him earn it.
Looks like a solid card ,Turdsak is a tough mother and will bring Luevano to the brink!

Luevanos been carried along well as far as matchups go for the better part of his early career I really thought good things about him but somewhere along the lines I just lost interest and he seemed to be content with just fighting the same quality of opposition and not moving forward much. He then goes on to get out hustled by Honorio in a fight which he should have won with ease... When he beat Cruz for the NABO title again I wasn't impressed and he seemed to tire out late in the fight. I was completely sure, I mean 100% sure he'd loose to Cook. I had seen both fighters and thought it'd be a walk in the park for Cook to my surprise that was not the same Luevano I had previously seen. I battered Cook and beat 'em well. No question marks. He showed loads of improvement from the Cruz fight in 2006 to his last fight against Davis. He boxed well and showed lot's of slickness in the ring. Not sure how much you know on Terdsak, but hes more known for his fight against JMM in 2006. JMM TKO'd him in 7 rounds but not before he clobbered JMM and left him with a puffy eye and a pretty bruised up face. Terdsak has the punchers chance here and if he can land his devastating Left Straight punch it will make for an interesting fight both Southpaws I'm just hyped up for this one.

Diaz, I've never been a fan of the guy and to be honest I never thought much about him. I think the Morales fight was pretty damn! close. It could have gone either way IMO. He won and that's that. The main reason why I've never like Diaz is because in 2006 he got what IMO is one of THE if not THE worst decision I've ever seen when he was awarded a gift decision over Silverio Ortiz. I wish I would have recorded that fight. I've been looking for this fight ever since so I could upload it on YouTube cause honestly it's that bad. I think it's worst then Gainer over Navarro deicision which was horrible also. Anyway! in the fight Ortiz out punched out brawled out everything... Wining the rounds on agression and landing the harder punches while Diaz did score Ortiz was always the agressor. Diaz lot's of hear and determination in the Morales fight I'll give 'em that. Soto on the other hand is jumping up in weight after the Guzman fight. I'm not so sure how well that will go as jumping up in weight isn't always easy. Sotos skilled but I'm afraid he's not World Class as it was once thought to be. He showed lot's of weakneses in the ring and was completely outclassed by Guzman.

luevano ain't bad but i think terdsak has put a lot of improvement in his game and would have enough to beat him and might even hand him his first ko defeat.

That's the thing about Jandaeng, his 2 best performances have been losses. In fights that in reality were not even that close. Sure he landed some punches against Marquez but that's about it. He won 1 round at the most. And against Guzman he was completely shut out. Other than that he's fought nothing but bums. I expect him to make it competitive against Luevano. But I can not see him winning.

Hard to say anything but that....Luevano is a quality operator despite the ease that some people leap on his back....however I don't see Jandaeng showing enough to be able to beat him....however much that locals want Luevano to lose.

Now if they would just replace that TBA with Ivan Calderon, that would be the cherry on top.

Isn't the Cazares fight at 112?

I don't know if he's planning on staying there, it seems like a more natural weight class for him than 108.

I can understand why people are favoring Luevano, he should be the favorite, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if Terdsak won, sure Terdsak lost comfortably to both JMM and Guzman but Terdsak put up a decent fight and Luevano isn't even in the same stratosphere as those two IMO. I could see him finding a home for the left, we'll see.

Turdsak ;D Cant take fast hands and blistering combinations as Juan Manuel Marquez showed him. He scary with his power but i think Luevano is showing he is world class and will beat him. Tough fight for him but he will beat him.

i think people are underestimating david diaz too much just cos he wasn't able to dominate a suppossedly "shot" erik morales. erik i believe is not shot and could give anybody at lightweight a good fight, it's just that he's been too heavy in between fights and drains himself in training that's why he loses steam in the late rounds. he might be on the decline but i believe as erik does that he's not shot, that's why he still wants to fight, but then that's another subject for debate. as for david, i think he can give soto a good fight and come out the victor. people seems to be forgetting that david diaz has only lost once against kendal holt who's style gave him problems. diaz is a good fighter and would be very competitive against most anyone in his division, especially against soto who would be coming up in weight. in case you didn't know, david diaz did beat zab judah twice in the olympics although it was a long time ago but still you've got to give the guy some respect.

I haven't been convinced with Diaz since he got a horrible gift decision vs. Silverio Ortiz ever since then I knew I didn't like Diaz.
I will give him that he showed heart and will in the Erik fight and he dug deep in that one.

I think you're being overly defensive mainly because it's a fighter Manny may fight. I've never heard you defend Diaz before. Anyway,his biggest wins are the Morales fight(in which Morales should have gotten the decision) and the Santa Cruz fight(where Santa Cruz was winning handily on the cards,gassed totally and got stopped) and combine that with the the robbery which Mick has seen and he is NOT an impressive fighter.

He has heart and determination and ??? He has drawn with guy named Ramazn Palyani and he was stopped by Holt,one of Holts few stoppages in the last THREE years. So,no,I don't think people are understimating Diaz. He is,at best,an average fighter with heart,determination and not much else.Manny is fighting him as a warm up fight at 135 and nothing else.

it doesn't have anything to do with manny fighting him. i think you and a lot of others are underrating diaz cos of the morales fight. i also have erik winning that fight but the thing is he put up a good showing where i thought erik would blow him away. you see, i'm still not sold on erik being shot and i'm just giving diaz the credit i think he deserves. you're saying he wouldn't look good against soto. i on the other hand think soto would be a good fight for him. soto will have problems with diaz's workrate and soto's power is suspect coming up another division.

What a great card.
