I agree
I really became a Huerta fan watching that fight, he was winning clearly and that knockdown cemented it , but you must have missed Casamayors fight, stunk up the place and snuck out with the SD.
Yep, Casamayor 'beating' Jose Armando Santa Cruz was the worst decision of the year for me - so much so that I e-mailed Golden Boy and the NYSAC. The NYSAC said there would be an investigation which would hopefully lead to a rematch. I never heard back from them despite two subsequent emails inquiring as to the state of the investigation. Golden Boy couldn't even return my email.
Now I read that Casamayor will fight Katsidis in what should be a tidy little earner for him, while Santa Cruz goes back to fighting clubs.
What happened to being held accountable? Yeah we'll just say that shit to appease the fans and let it blow over. WBC Worlds Best Cheats
Worst decision of 2007 was for Trinidad to choose RJJ as a comeback opponent at 170, still cant understand this decision, he is one of my favorite fighters ever but this was simply dumb
Trinidad will KO Jones IMO. Roy doesn't have the legs to stay out of harms way for 12 rounds anymore.
casamayor was gifted so bad that larry and max even announced the decision as a high way robbery gift decision just as it was announced by michael buffer
There's been a few. Certainly the Huerta fight that was outrageous. I hated the way Diamond tried to defend the decision after and say he deserved to win the fight, although I guess there was nothing else he could say really.
The Casa fight was also shameful.
The third one that sticks in my throat though was the Demetrius Hopkins win over Steve Forbes. Forbes gave Hopkins a boxing lesson that night yet the scorecards had the fight not even close ???
At least he got the benefit of the doubt against Bojado in a close fight but still DHop and Goldenboy plain robbed him imo.
Casa's last fight was horrible, spinks/taylor bothered me a bit too.
Greig you can not be serious. For the love of god use your brain not your heart.Tito will be picked apart until the ref says "my god I've seen enough"Though I don't think Jones can hurt Tito but he will pot shot him to death
Wow..
No one has mentioned Erik Morales robbed by david diaz's hometown chicago judges yet..
That was not just one fight but a robbed legacy for morales
Barrera beat marquez imo and it wouldnt have been so bad in such a close fight for marquez to win but with the scorecards as far apart to have marquez way up like they did was a total disgrace
D-Hop v Forbes was a complete robbery.
The Huerta looss to Raymkulov was fucken awful and IMO one of the worst I've ever seen.
The worst: Huerta loss to Raymkulov
The ugly: Navarro loss to Gainer
The Bad: Santa Cruz loss to Joel
The Stinker: Forbes loss to D-Hop
Wow man you're very smart and I'm with you,, Tito will beat Roy Jones in late 8 by a tremendous KO, and I'm not saying this because I live in Puerto Rico,, Is Just because Tito is more athletic than rjj thats itQuote:

All the robberies in 2007 involved fights that were decent matchups, but not HUGE matchups.
I wish boxing had no bad decisions, but there's always going to be at least a few each year, and therefore I'd rather have them happen in Casamayor-Santa Cruz and Forbes-Hopkins instead of seeing robberies in Calzaghe-Kessler, Mayweather-DLH, Cotto-Mosley, etc.
I think the judges got the cards right in every single big fight this past year.
Robbery is robbery but I take your point. At least with the Big names a rematch is all but a certainty for them where as the not so big or unexpected will most likely fall by the way side (Santa -Cruz)Quote:

As far as worst descision Id say Huerta Vs. Kid Diamond.Huerta busted him up ,landed bigger power and set the tempo.Lightweights are stacked and Huerta Imo is on a roll.
