You should be thanking Kerry Collins and PRAYING that he plays against San Diego, otherwise the Titans have no shot.
I'm taking
Washington over Seattle
Giants over Tampabay
Jacksonsville over Pittsburgh
San Diego Over Tennesee
Yeah hes over-rated, you must have missed his 8-8 and 10-6 records in his first 2 years. The 8-8 was a huge improvement from the year before. He also has the most amount of yards combined rushing and passing of any 2 year quarterback, he has been playing hurt since the TB game. Check your facts before you say stupid shit.Quote:

Jacksonville MAY beat Pittsburgh. That's the only one I'm not sure of.
I'm just bored enough to watch the NFL today. Washington-Seattle sounds boring as hell though.
I'll take
Seattle
San Diego
Jacksonville
Tampa Bay

As for your ignorant nonsense that you were spewing about his 8-8 record and 10-6 record.............
That's the Titans winning those games ;) Vince young does a great job of keeping the other team in the game with his numerous interceptions. Even Vince's mom wouldn't be able to deny that.
Is Brady Quinn the only backup QB ever to have his own commercial?
The ref just got fucked up

College football > NFL
That was quite a game between the Jaguars and Steelers. To think if there wasn't that phantom holding call on the two point conversion where Ward was face masked and still made an incredible catch this game would've went into OT.
I was rooting for my Steelers to win, but Jacksonville is a team that I like through and through. From Del Rio to Taylor to Garrard to that Defense, lots to like about these guys.
Even though it's the playoffs I STILL can't generate any interest in a NYG-Tampa bay game.
Phillip Rivers is a clown
So is Merriman. I didn't realize it till today but I dislike the Chargers.
Yea yea yea!!!!!!!! Hawks dominated the redskins. I can't believe people still don't get how much better the seahawks are at home, and I can't believe the saints are such underachivers this year. They were the only team to beat seahawks in seattle. Suprise me they didn't make the playoffs they lost a dozen of close games they should of won. Oh well my boys in blue got to go against bret favre and his young guns in green bay. I think the hawks are too experience for brets young team.
Who you guys got for the second round of the NFL playoffs?
I got:
Hawks over Packers
Pats over Jaguars
Colts over Chargers
Giants over Dallas if T.O doesn't play. I just don't have faith in Q.B like Tony Romo, they get overhyped and then when its playoff time they DON'T get the Win.
CC for the question Rainy
I'm runnin' with:
Green Bay over Seattle
Dallas over New York
Indy over San Diego
New England over Jacksonville
with Indy over Dallas in the superbowl

but i would LOVE to see the Giants upset the Cowboys as i can't stand Romo and TO.. Plus it would be really cool to see GB vs the Pats in the Superbowl again.. I think GB could beat the Giants pretty soundly but Dallas would be a tough game.. Either way if the Colts and Pats both win this weekend then that will be a bigger game than the superbowl (as far as talent goes).. I wouldn't rate any team in the NFC that is remaining higher than the Pats or Colts.. not even close.
I was gonna go all favorites but i'll throw in the one big upset, probably won't happen, but Jacksonville's no joke, even though the Pittsburgh game was close I think Jacksonville matches up better with New England.
Of course I don't really watch much NFL so basically just making this shit up as I go along.
Green Bay
Dallas
Indy
Jacksonville 8)
My pics are below.
Jags vs Patriots = Jags
Colts vs Chargers = Colts
Packers vs Seattle = Packers
Giants vs Cowboys = Giants
I really think the Jags have the tools to give the Patriots there first loss. If The jags don't beat them I think the Patriots will win the Super Bowl.
I've been perfect with my predictions, so far (as evidenced earlier in this thread) so I owe it to myself and all of you to try to keep my perfect streak going
Colts over Chargers
Seahawks over Packers
Patriots over Jags
Giants over Cowboys

The Titans defense kept it close (like I told you they usually do) but Vince couldn't "lead," them to a single touchdown. Remember me telling you they should start Collins?? Had they done so, Collins might have done enough to win them the game. God knows he couldn't have gotten them any less points.
WE have it exactly the same. You care to enlight us of your picks?Quote:

Pats over Jags, although I don't think pats have a better ground game then the Jags imo. The experience and the winning mentality of the patriots will not fail them to go undefeated then lose their first game at home. The weather will probubly give Jags the advantage with the run game but the Patriots defense can prolly contain them enough to secure a victory.
Hawks over Packers becuase I think Favres team are young and the Seahawks are more experience and the defense is going into the game very motivated. The defense have some great players heading to the pro bowl and two of them made the all pro team. Imo the hawks defense will carry them to a victory not only will they hold off favres offense but they will most likely score as well via fumble recovery or interceptions.
Giants over Dallas, i think Dallas is set up for desaster. After losing the way they did to washington heading to the playoffs. romo who is suppose to be leading the team is out on vacation and T.O is not a 100%. I think it'll be close but if Dallas pulls it off it'll be becuase of a poor performance from the Giants. In that case i think the giants need to take whats there for the taking cause Dallas appear to be slacking at the wrong time of the season.
Colts over Chargers - I agree that it's because they are the better team. The Chargers offense looked stagnant against Tennessee's defense (a very good defense, though) last week. Plus, the Colts have the offense to score big points on touchdowns on a pretty good (but not great) Chargers defense. Not to mention that Harrison is gonna be back! Harrison AND Wayne is lethal.Quote:

One of the Packers biggest strengths is their rushing defense, but that's gonna be a liability this week seeing as how Seattle has almost no rushing attack. Also, there's been a buzz about this being Holmgren's last season in Seattle, so his team is gonna have a little extra motivation.
Giants over Cowboys - Eli is hot all of a sudden! Their offense is clicking, and I expect Jacobs to have a much better game this week. Tony Romo without T.O. is an average QB and T.O. isn't gonna be anywhere near 100% for this game. NY just needs to stop the run and wait for Romo to have one of his signature days where he loses a big game all by his self.
Patriots over Jaguars - David Garrard was near perfect in the regular season (only 3 picks all season) but looked very mediocre in his first playoff game. So far, I think it's because he's young and doesn't have the playoff experience more so than him being the "choke artist," that some are already labeling him. Tom Brady (when he retires) will be labeled as one of the greatest QB's of all time when all is said and done. I shouldn't have to even mention the edge that the Patriots have in playoff experience, and don't forget that this may be the best that the juggernaut Patriots have ever been.

yea this has got to be the best new england has ever been. 16-0 perfect in the regular season, and I really can't pick against them in the playoffs. They can be 19-0 after the superbowl and I wouldn't be suprise. I like the jags but i really can't see them upsetting the patriots in new england.
The colts shouldn't have much problems dealing with the chargers unless L.T put on a historic performance. Peyton is more capable of doing so though and his team is the defending champs. People seem to be forgetting that. Im really looking forward to them defending the title against New England in the conference finals.
The Giants did lose to Dallas twice this year already but like I said before Dallas is set up for a desaster playoff round this sunday. Romo is overhype and T.O is not a 100%, I know theres more to Dallas then those two since they did win the most games in the NFC, but Giants IMO got them at the right time and they are hot at the right time of the season.
Yea its hard to choose against the Packers in Green Bay, but Holmgren has a dynasty record there and last time Seattle and Green Bay played a playoff game there it went to over time and it was a chess match between Hasselback and Favre. Too bad though that Matt Hasselback made the crucial error first in overtime when he threw the ball while his reciever ran the wrong route. Al Harris jump it and we all know what happen afterwards. I really like the hawks defense they are going into this very motivated. Having 2 all pro and 4 pro bowl players. I think as long as the defense bring there A game Bret favre and his Packers are going to have a hard time. If Favre begins to get careless I can see the hawks defense scoring or setting up the hawks offense in great scoring position.
Yes seattles defense did set them up in great scoring position TWICE as a matter of fact and they cashed in but they got spotted 14 free points and still could keep it within two touchdowns at the final score? ???
yea the hawks was dominating up til it started snowing like crazy. the hawks defense lives and die's by its speed. they close in quick to tackle or get a sack but the snow really nuetralize there speed causing them to get overmatch by packers offensive line. Its weird cause the snow came right when the packers needed it. From there on they just smash the seahawks. a good win for favre he is a legend coming right back after a devestating start. credit to the hawks too if he hadn't snowed the results would of probubly be the other way around.Quote:

now on to todays games.
Look at the QB's on the teams left
Favre - future hall of famer
Brady - future hall of famer
if Peyton wins - future hall of famer
Then you have Romo, where if he puts up the same numbers he did this year consistently in the future then he could be an elite QB... Eli Manning is the most overrated QB in the NFL, and Rivers is average..
Pretty exciting if you ask me.. I think that the ratings will be exceptionally well for these playoff games as opposed to other years.
wow colts lost!!!!!!!!!
and giants just won!!!!!!
My playoff record took a hit today :-\
I am now 6 and 2 in my playoff predictions. That's pretty solid, but not perfect.
It's a helluva lot better than these so called experts that we see on ESPN and Fox Sports, though.
My official predictions for next week:
Packers over Giants
Patriots over Chargers.
we the same im 6-2 too, and i know what you mean man. those so called expert are always more bias then fans since most of them do have ties with individual teams.Quote:

I've also been a big fan of Jacobs since the first time I've seen him play (he's a running back in a linebackers body, imo) and I've always been partial to Plaxico Burress since college.
But, this game being at Lambeau field is what's gonna give Green Bay the edge, imo. Had this game been in NY, I'd take the Giants without thinking twice about it. Green Bay looked DAMN good against Seattle, and after the way they played that game against Seattle, I don't see them losing until the Super Bowl.
My heart wants the Giants to pull it off, but my brain tells me that GB at Lambeau in the NFC championship is gonna be a little too much for the (so-far) playoff-green Eli Manning.
Honestly the final four nfc teams were all as good as eachother. Packers and Dallas in the regular season were just more consistent but the dallas seem to have lost its steem. IMO seattle has the most talent and potential but they are the most inconsistent and Giants are imo the best team when they bring their A game. Seattle is horrible in the road but the weather played a huge part in green bay. In the begginging were there where no snow seattles defense was rediculously quick and active but the snow slowed them down and gave a legend like bret favre a chance to bring it to them. I think the giants are the better team but like i said seattle was the better team too but they got smoke in green bay. They suck in the road and it showed they suck in the snow too, but i think the giants seen the situation that happen to seattle so imo they will come in better shape then seattle was after dominating the first five minutes. Plus giants are a lot better in the road then seattle is.Quote:

Today's games just made it easier for New England if you ask me..
No more Cowboys and no more Colts.. the two teams that would give them the hardest time..
The Pats secondary struggled against Jacksonville and I would've actually been scared to see what Manning would be able to do with Harrison back and the rest of the wideouts.. But now they're out..
If the Chargers can get LT going next week it will be a key to their success but i think the Pats will work on a way to stop him all week.. They really just have to worry about Gates/Chambers/Jackson.. I am SO HAPPY the Giants won, and think the NFC championship game will be quite interesting, especially in Lambeau..
I predict Pats/Packers in the superbowl, and give the packers the best chance to beat the Pats of the remaining teams.
I'm rooting for the Patriots to go all the way.
(If only to stop hearing about how the '72 Dolphins get together and celebrate with champagne every time an undefeated team loses in a season).
;D
Still no faith in favre huh? I'll remind you its the 10 year anniversary of when elway stole his second ring. He's not leaving the league without it.
