I saw that to over there, made me wonder what else was said. I definately wouldn't join but am still curious. I agree with you though he does need to go away. He's probably hurting for money and he knows it will generate some especially with two big names like Holyfield and Tyson.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Yeah they charge for a subscription when they should pay us to read that drivel!
-
Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Did you also read the interview with Tommy Morrison? He was saying he would like to fight James Toney because he has a big mouth and he just doesn't like him. I actually wouldn't mind see that fight.

You being serious! Listen, and I mean with this with 100% respect but Tommy Morrison may not even be 100% healthy and it could be a danger to get into the ring with him.I would NOT get into the ring with someone who some health authorities think should not be fighting.
I'm just annoyed with all these old fogeys/washed up fighters/events taking place. I want to see the new generation of fighters come through now,I want to see the best fight the best.Maybe I'm being harsh but Vargas-Mayorga,Tyson,Evander,RJJ-Tito at 170,etc etc. I'm not interested!

Here Here El gamo. It's time for some new meat.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Boxingtalk overall sucks but I do check it here and there for breaking news type stuff. The editor, G. Leon (who the fuck refers to themselves as G.) has started the G. Leon Advisory Group ;D Kind of a promotional/advisor type thing, they've just managed to pull off a massive coup and sign Derrick Gainer who's obviously a cash cow!!

I go there for the same thing. Breaking news. Other than that,I am NOT a fan. Poor interviews, with threadbare questions and it's more like Leon promoting certain fighters than a boxing website giving us news,so I'm not surprised by G LEON ADVISORY ;D ;D. If you want to know the latest about Ishe Smith,Derrick Gainer,Zab Judah and Gary Shaw,go there. They do have a few decent interviews every now and then.

Boxing has just sunk a little lower with that.... :(

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
I refuse to read or and certainly refuse to pay and read anything about a Tyson Holyfield 3 possibility....

How silly :-[ Maybe they'll put it on Friday Night Fights, with Judah/Galvan II as the undercard ::**
Hope the don't think people will pay for it; as I know I sure as hell wouldn't.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Well I know as a hardcore fan of the sport it's almost a blasphamey to admit this but honestly I'd watch if Tyson came back and did a PPV sparring session.
The guy is a legend, the most significant boxer since Ali and the most recognisable athlete on the planet. When you factor in he's also a grade A certified mental and you have someone who you just HAVE to watch.
I wish he'd get his own reality show, that would be some crazy shit!

I agree about the Reality T.V. Show; that would be something to watch. How utterly disturbing would that be ???
HBO better have a damn good undercard before I spend money to watch Tyson get slapped around by another geezer. Would almost be worth it just to hear his post fight interview with Merchant.

We have already been down the sparring exhibitions...they did not fare well :-\
Wasn't there talk of Tyson in the porn business?

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
The current Tyson actually has a lot more depth and intelligence then most give him credit for. He has learned everything he knows the hard way, many times the worst way possible. He has traveled the world, lived the most opulent life has to offer and tasted the worst. I will always have an interest in him; would love to see him in some current in-depth interviews about his life and how he puts his past in perspective. I am more interested to see him out of the ring then in it.
But no doubt I would watch Tyson-Holyfield III on PPV.
PPV via sopcast 8)

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
It makes sense for him cause its quick money. Cant blame him for wanting to cash in. Seems like he has other options to make money but if he wants it fast, he can embarrass himself getting back in the ring. That's on him.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
According to Fighthype,Holyfield is up for it

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Tyson and Holyfield are both desperate for money so this might happen. I doubt it though. Tyson is a lil bitch in recent years, talks big, then gets his ass beat. If they fight, Holy will whip his ass for a 3rd time IMO. Holyfield has still been competing against top twenty and recently top ten guys, Mike has been busted for Coke, after sparrin with a human punching bag on PPV.

Thats more or less how I see it.But at the end of the day they both need this fight if they want to keep fighting.
Otherwise Holyfield is going to be reduced to getting torched in Louisiana by Joe Mesi, and Tyson will remain doing exhibitions in Las Vegas
What would be highly interesting is if this happened, and someone finally got it through to Mikes head that he's too old to fight the double hands up style anymore, and he actually tried something different out there
A Mike win, would totally screw up the Heavyweight picture

So myspacin it up and rockin it on the boxing nerd forum I see? Just like me.
Anyway, you seem to believe this fight will actually go down. If it did how many rounds you think they'd schedule it for? Cus Evander can do 12. Mike can only go like 4. I'm thinkin it would have to be a 10 rounder for anyone to take it seriously at all.
Also, if Mike won, it wouldn't screw up anything. Holyfield is not even in the top 10 any more man. All it would do is excite the stupid Tyson freaks again, get them beatin the war drums, and set them up for another embarassing loss to a journymen that Mike woulda iced in the 1st round back in his prime.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
As mad as it sounds and WRONG I have to be honest if this fight was made I would smile , get a little excited and really look forward to it ! :)
Two ageing ex champs well past their prime, with a rivalry history, in a fight you know wouldn't last the distance. There are a lot of fights that happen when you just know its going to be dull and go the distance.
Bring it on ;)

Yeah I woke up a few hours ago, apparantly my body decided it had unfinished buisness
Where it would screw up the division is if it would finally get through to Mike hes too old to fight that double hand up style,he still has name recognition, and he still has power
He wins I garuntee you,Don King would be burning up the phone lines the next day
Him and Evander are the last two BIG names in the division(sorry Lewis fans, and Klitschko fans(I like both Klitschko's by the way))
Mike wins this fight, and its looking like its coming down to money alone, and thats workable, right or wrong, that tosses Mike right back in to the mix again
Just like I was highly critical of Evander's comeback,it would probably be BS,but you know it would move units

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
Tyson vs Holyfield 3 bring it on if it gets Tyson out of debt

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
I never heard about Boxing Talk prior to this thread.
Everyone seems to hate it; what is so bad about it?
Because you have to pay to be a member? Or is it one of those notorious boxing websites that creates fake rumors?

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
To my shame I would tune in to watch and even worse would cheer Mike on. :-X

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
...i'm suprised that anybody would even take this crap serious. Holyfield tyson 3 ??!! For what ?? I guess if it's held at the state fair this year and they don't charge extra i'd go check it out. The winner should take on mike spinks

Well I agree, But this is their living and most of them do not know how to do anything else but fight so just them make a living.... Remember we have a choice to tune in or not.

Re: Tyson interview at boxingtalk:wants third Holyfield fight....
REALLY fookin hope this fight doesnt happen. Mike in his day was something sensational he was bad enough his last fight , as a Tyson fan i do not want to see his even more faded boxing skills on display again. Evander and Mike BOTH need to call it a day.....add RJJ and Tito to that list after there upcoming fight i really aint interested in that. Oh yeah and BHOP whatever the outcome of the JC fight NEEDS to retire. FFS the man is 42 now and should enjoy all that money hes earnt!
