ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
Was impressed with Trinidad last night and I think he should get his ass back down to middleweight have a couple fights an go for Pavlik, what a fight that would be. Both like to fight, both can hit and both can be hit. And to tell you the truth I'd edge towards Trinidad.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
No thanks. ;D I don't think Tito can make 160. I would give him a punchers chance but remember,he was stopped by Hop. I think Kelly would be too physically strong and powerful for Tito. I also think he is too relentless for Tito and Kelly took the pucnh of the monster power puncher Miranda. I'd take Kelly via stoppage. Would outwork Tito and stop him.

Yeh but Taylor had Pavlik in trouble and he's no monster puncher just didn't follow up, if Tito had him hurt he wouldn't give him chance to clear his head he'd go for the finish

Taylor caught Pavlik, true but that was as much down to Pavlik's carelessness as anything. I don't think it would happen again and remember,Taylor is probably the biggest guy at 160 after Kelly. They make Tito look small and Tito had to BULK UP to 170(I got this info from Daxx Khan,a reliable source)
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
I think Tito would be fine at 160 he looked sharp last night, Tito vs Pavlik would be awesome. And i would say thats pretty even match up.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
I think Tito should probably stay away from 160. He looked good last night but those guys are still a little too big for him. He should fight at 154lb if can make the weight or work with some strength training to improve his chances at 160.
I'm not saying he doesn't have the punch power to handle 160 but his body should be a little stronger to handle being pushed around by these bigger guys.

Kelly also put his hands at his side and went to show boat and got caught with a flurry. If he didnt try to show off he would be getting a totally different opinion by allot of people.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
Tito looked good???? What with his a## on the canvas?LOL If Roy threw more punches Tito wouldnt have seen round 8. Pavlik is a punching machine that keeps comming forward. Tito proved last night he cant fight going backwards. I like Tito to much to see him destroyed by Pavlik.

Good posting from you guys, totally agree. Tito looked ok imo,but is too small to hang with big, natural 160 pounders like Pavlik. Kelly would back him up and KO him. I would NOT want to see that fight.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
Tito I dont think would be able to handle the size of Pavlick. He looked better than he did vs Winky last night, thats for sure but he is in no way ready for Pavlick or Taylor in my opinion. I think Taylor will take this upcoming fight vs Pavlick and create a trilogy, which deffinitely wont be a bad thing for boxing.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
8) I want tell all you guy in my opinion if you see all Titos fight in 160 lb. he didnt done nothing and reduce his hard punch and if you seen last night ,he even hit hard to Jones..... Jones similated all his punches.....so i think that Tito dont have nothing to get in that weight even in Middleweight, for me he is more stronghest in 154 lb. , but the other thing is that he have some problem to make both weights.... that is what i guess...... ;)

Talk about throwing someone to the wolfs?
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
I'm skeptical about Tito's ability to get to 160.
Even at a catchweight of ~165, I think Pavlik is too big, too tall and too fresh for Tito at this point. In his prime, Tito was a great 147/154 pounder, and he could've been a legit middleweight champ too if there wasn't a great champ like Hopkins in his way. But at this age, Tito just can't get down to 154, and he can't compete with younger fresher guys. He should retire, or if he wants to go out with a victory, he should fight some complete stiff.

I think the only big fight that's winnable for him is Jeff Lacy. That would be a smart move for Tito imo, if he got up for that fight he could beat Lacy and end his career on a good note. This is also assuming Lacy looks as shit as he did in his last 2 fights.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
I think Tito can defenately make some noise at 160. If I were managing him I'd tell him to fight the loser of Taylor vs Pavlik 2 or one of the other 160 pound champions. I don't know if he could beat them now but we all know damn well Tito ain't fighting no Jeff Lacy or some other contender. He's either gonna get a fight for one of the big boys or he'll retire.
I think Tito looked pretty sharp for a guy who has been off for almost 3 years. Remember he was against a Lightheavy and still made it competitive for the first half of the fight.
Against a Middleweight he should be competitive throughout. Add to that that he probably shed some ring rust with those 12 rounds with Jones.
The only real question is can he make 160. I was completely shocked that Tito came up over the limit of 170. Yeah it was only .2 pounds over but come on how the hell did he show up over 170. He should've been at 165.

Looks like its just me you and Ice. He couldn't hurt Jones last night that was the issue, he would definately hurt a middleweight
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
That it what I see as well. It was not only that he could'nt hurt Jones, though there was a round (think it was the fifth) were a left got through and got Jones attention. But it was more that Jones had a tight defense and did not allow Tito to connect upstairs.
Put up a guy like Pavlik or Taylor that do get hit often and add to that the likelyhood that Tito would be stronger and have more effect at 160 and I see him having a good shot.
Hey, how about Miranda. There is a well known guy that would make a great fight with Tito. And that is a very winnable fight for Tito too.
Re: ANYONE FOR TITO V THE GHOST?
I don't understand why people don't think Tito can't hang with Pavlik, Tito even at Light Heavyweight took Jones shots very well, and yes he was dropped twice but that was more to do with the speed of punches. Something Pavlik has not got, Tito is still a big puncher and could still knock Pavlik's block off if he gets Pavlik in trouble like Taylor did. Tito i think looked sharp and the problem was when he fought Jones is that he couldn't hurt Jones, if he fought Pavlik and caught Pavlik flush he would for 100 percent hurt Pavlik and drop him IMO. Pavlik does not carry 1 punch KO power he wears you down with barrage of punches, plus Pavlik has never faced anyone who has Tito's power. Miranda is the biggest puncher Pavlik fought but his punching technique was very sloppy and his punches had no snap on them where as Tito has good power and is very sharp with his punches to the body and head. It wouldn't surprise me if Tito stopped Pavlik in a toe to toe war.
