Who has more current World Champs US or UK?

Just wondered, im being a lazy twat and cant be arsed researching the fact myself.

It must be close, UK boxing is on a serious up at the moment!

You would need a supercomputer to tally it up as there are so many belts out there.

Canada even has three champions that I know of.

IBF, WBC, WBO and WBA.

know the answer?

and being the ring champ can count too? I think both Hopkins and Hatton are the ring champs without holding any of the four main belts.

yep ive gota agree with VD, WBU dont count... Hatton is the Ring champ ICB so why aint you included him, hopkins dont hold any of the four major belts to my mind, its the IBO i think, but he is also the ring champ!

And yeh if you ratio it down to population UK has more boxers if you get me..

I think the argument about the size of the US vs the number of champs each produces is becoming a forum cliche. But tbh, UK having six is not at all a bad showing, after a few years where we had one or two at best.

i would say that at this current moment in boxing the UK has the better fighters than the US if you take into consideration the size difference!

The USA is actually 122 times bigger than Great Britian.

So Great Britian has by far the better talent of boxer. It actually makes USA look very lacking in boxing talent. LMAO

Ricky Hatton should also be included as he is the IBO & Ring champ and if Hokins counts as a champ as he holds the ring belt and none of the big 4 then Hatton counts.

So Brits have 7 champs BTW.

I would'nt listen to VD on everything as he is one biased American fan showing no respect to any brits hence when I beat him on our Calzaghe v Hopkins sig he is going to get a nice little surprise ;D.
