I really love Kat and Casamayor has not shown much of late... ;)
I'm not gonna say that Katsidis is gonna KO Casamayor but he's gonna let him know he's in a fight. I just think Kats is gonna overwhelm him. He's just taken to much time off... Then comes back after over a year and looks like garbage against SantaCruz. I just don't see the old champ pulling this one out!

I like casa and respect he is a great fighter but i recon hes on the downhill slope and kats takes a decision imo.. kats is just very very hungry.. He shows it in almost every fight.. He just wants to walk through it all to get the win
Casamayor, Is too old now.
Where as a prime Casamayor would have been licking his lips to see Katsidis coming in the past, Katsidis has the style required to beat the Csa of today.
The fitness, the relentlessness, the single minded aggression will be enough to do it as Casa no longer has the tools to penalise his aggression, capatilise on his recklessness and exploit his questionable defence.
Onion facial skin Katz had a hard with a mediocre fighter like Amonsot. I think Casa would inflict 3 or 4 times damage more than Zar did.

The style that Kats brings is a pressure style I'm hoping they are working with him on using that to the fullest with Casa. When Santa Cruz used wild lunging tactics Casa didn't know how to handle it and would only step back while getting caught by Santa Cruz's punches.
Casamayor will come ready this time and even though hes old hes still an accurate puncher. Katsidis will be cut up and lose close but clear decision imo. Kats throws good punches but his skill level is mediodre. Too bad Santa Cruz isnt champ like he should be, I think he has a good style to beat Katsidis too.
i would disagree with you bro. casamayor should have lost his last fight. he is just here to collect a paycheck. amonsot maybe mediocre,not as much talent as casamayor but ill tell you what he has that casamayor dont have. Guts and heart. i say Kats will KO his lazy bumQuote:

As soon as I clicked on this thread I knew VD would pick Casa over Kats.
Kats for me. He's determined and has youth on his side. Cassa was "old" in his last fight. Cuts might be an issue for kats though. Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi!!!
Casa didn't look good v Chico,didn't look good v Santa Cruz and I think Kats is more dangerous than Sant Cruz,though still limited. It'll be a close fight,I'll take Kats on points,maybe SD.
hmmm... I see most of us think that Kats is gonna take this by shear force. I agree... I can't help but hope that Casa is rejuvinated for this fight. I do like hime but he's just seemed so lithargic...
Katsidis will try and END Casamayor, but Joel will put the young buck in his place. Casamayor on points.
The think about Katsidis is even though he is strong and a good puncher he has trouble with slick fighters and lacks defensive skills. He barely beat his last opponent and looked ok against Earl but not elite by any means. Casamayor, aside from his last fight has been competitive on an elite level. Whether or not Katsidis can be is yet to be seen. Even if he beats an old Casamayor, he will still have a lot to prove imo. He has a ton of heart, his ego is a bit large though for someone in his position at this point in his career but I wish him well. Aside from the hype and his exiciting style, nothing sets him apart from many other prospects hes just lucky enough to be televised.
I agree with that post,but I think Kats is better than Sant Cruz,and look at the trouble Joel had there. Even if it was ring rust,he looked poor v the totally weight drained Chico before that too.Personally,I think the age and inactivity has caught up to Joel.Quote:
