I hate the Giants slightly less than the Patriots. WooooHooooo, I can't believe they pulled it off.
lol i was tired of the pats and brady being treated like americas hottest bachelor was the last straw
Give me a break TUA.. The Pats were hated this year, and the only good things that were said about them were how good their coach is and how well their team played.. no other bullshit. Brady is no bachelor and has had his personal life EXTREMELY low key compared to other stars so you're way wrong man..
Did you see the Giants rubbing it in the Pats face that they beat them or anything to that extent? No, you did not.. why? because the Pats are classy, and with the exception of Rodney Harrison, no one runs their mouth..
The talk of the playoffs this year was Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo if there was any talk about a quarterback..
So sorry man, the Pat's got no extra treatment from the media.. in fact because of the "spy gate" they got negative treatment, so to say you're sick of the pats being treated in a positive way is ridiculous..
Isn't being portrayed as the greatest team and possible the greatest dynasty ever positive treatment??? Almost nobody gave the Giants a chance going into yesterdays game.
I never found them to be hated or to be portrayed as hated in any of media I saw covering them. "Spy gate" was the only negative aspect to their season, and they deserved all the critism they got because the league told them to cut that shit out and they kept on doing it.
The Giants basically punched the Patriots in the mouth all nite with the pass rush, hurrying Brady and disrupting the timing.. Manning was Bradyesque in which he made good desicions and timely plays and rose to the ocassion...
I am a Giants fan and out of the wins in my lifetime this was the sweetest one
Let me put it this way.. Go back to 2001? I think it was.. Rams/Patriots.. The Rams were so cocky, calling themselves the "Greatest Show on Turf".. Patriots were an even more underdog in that game then the Giants were in yesterdays game.. All you heard the week before that were the Rams running their mouths about being unstoppable etc.. Now THAT was getting sickening..
Compare that to the Patriots.. All they had to say about during "Media Day" and in the media in general, was how they weren't taking the Giant's lightly and how they have to continue to do what they've been doing all season to win this game.. They never counted the Giants out.. and on top of that, after the loss, they had only good things to say about how the Giants played.. No complaints besides the ones about their own playing. Nothing like "the best team didn't win" stuff you'd expect from a cocky team, etc.. They were gracious in defeat..
Bottom line is that there was no overwhelming talk about the Patriots being "the best team ever" i thought they did just enough talking about that to make the Super bowl even more marketable.. nothing over the top though.. So that's why i just don't understand where the "im sick of hearing about Brady" blah blah.. I didn't think it was over done at all.
Also, the Patriots were VERY hated in the media.. It stemmed from Spy gate and then just Belechik's ways of being vague in interviews, etc.. The supposed "running up of the scores".. All i heard on the radio waves was "someone needs to injure Brady!" That isn't hate?.. The whole 72 Dolphins crew and co. hated that they could be breaking their record and such. On ESPN's poll of "who do you want to win" the Super Bowl, it was an OVERWHELMING percentage for the Giants.. Believe me man, there was hate.
Def one of the biggest wins, and one of the biggest runs of a Wild Card team in the playoffs in the history of the game..
Manning did what he had to do to win the game, and Brady didn't, simple as that..
I find it interesting that the pressure finally got to Brady. If you realized, when he finally had time to throw, his throws were off cause he was still worried about getting hit. I have never seen that happen to Brady EVER. So props to the Giants D for that effort..
On another note, Asante Samuel had Super Bowl 42 in his hands and blew it.. The "Franchise" player of the NE Patriots, the man who was completely outraged at the fact that he was franchise tagged because he wanted a bigger contract with more years and more money, BLEW IT. He drops the interception that would've been the nail in the coffin.. I hope he really shuts the fuck up after that, bum.
