I'd be careful for what he wishes for, Witter is looking for exposure and Hatton l;ooking for a confidence booster. He may tick them off enough to accept!
I think that he should keep well away from the 140 weight class at the momment and concentrate at lightweight. Calling them out just because he beat a blown up superfeatherweight is just silly. Wait till hes faught some real lightweight contenders.
Well atleast he want's big fights right? Hope fully if he ever gets to world champ status he will only go for the worthwhile opponents.
Agreed, shouldn't even consider that weight class for a few years, some big names in his own division and he didn't look powerful enough last time he fought there, granted he's older now but I just feel he's not the same size person as Haton or Witter, and there are guys even bigger than them at 140.
Khan needs to stop calling out these fighters,he hasnt even won a world title in his own weight yet. Yet he is calling out the best 2 LW in the world he should just concentrate on fighting in his own weight class for now.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Hatton-Khan in 18 months time.
It would be MEGA.
Khan keeps progressing. Hatton stays steady.
If you were involved with either, at the moment, why wouldn't you want to make it?
In 18 months it will be a big fight if Khan can get a world title before then but Khan doesnt need to be saying this at this stage. We dont even know if he is world class yet,he does look it but he needs to be put in with someone in the top 5 in the world.
''I I think they (Witter OR Hatton) haven't faced anyone as fast as me"
Silly boy
well someone better drug test that kid...
Biten off alil more than he can chew.
After a big fight guys have a tendacy to just start talking all kinds of crazy shit. Once the win settles in and the lights dim, he'll be smarter than all the talk and work his way up gradually.......i hope.
I don't know what makes some guys think like this but....Then again you have to question the validity of the whole thing since it was from a Warren media source...I think they have guys who just make articles and interviews up...Pretty much the way Warren makes up the truth.....
Khan needs some more in ring quality wins before he thinks about stepping in with Witter or Hatton
Naz was a legit fighter...he had great power and such an awkward style it gave guys fits....Naz problem is he was just tooo full of himself and thought he did not need to adjust to other guys and his style or power would always carry him through.....
Khan is not the caliber fighter Naz was.....At least Naz could always rely on power if desperate
he should keep quiet till he is more experienced before calling them out
He needs to fight some legit lightweights, Graham Earl and Limond arent exactly big names. Is this his way of avoiding calling out people in his own division? If he moves up to lightwelter soon, he really shouldnt get ranked that high. I also think he is ranked a little too high by some organizations currently. Theres soo many lightweights to choose from and he's calling out guys he knows wont fight him at this point.
Well call me cautious but I don't trust Frank Warren fighters with less than 30 total fights under their belt.
Kahn needs to just shut his mouth and fight.....I dislike this guy already
Not sure about light-welter, but I really believe Khan is ready to make the leap up to lightweight. He's cleared out the available super-feathers.
Khan would get sent back to the ams. if he fights Hatton or Witter.
They mop the canvas with him...
kkahn : they havent fought anyone as fast as me
hmm mayweather for hatton and judah for witter? prehaps :D
what a dick
Do you actually think Warren would allow it ? He would be too scared of risking the loss...
Khan's attitude worries me a little. He does have an abundance of talent, and is already at the level just below world class, but I'm not sure he realises how much he has to improve to make the step up to be competitive against the likes of Diaz, let alone the guys at the above weight.
Gotta love that comment...They never fought anyone as fast as me.....If I was the reporter I would have replied...
"So what you are saying is your fight plan is to use your super speed and run like a scared 12yr old in hopes they pass out from exaustion?".....
Khan would be given a one sided lesson from Malignaggi who hits like a 12yr old let alone be able to stand in with Hatton or Witter....Funny he does not mention Paulie does he?.......IMO those were comments Warren gassed him up to make just to piss off Hatton and Witter
i really really do hate this man:punchangry:. i hope he does make the mistake of moving to light-welter and gets the beating of a lifetime
Hey, Amir. You have 16 pro fights and look like an amateur. In some cases "awkward style" really means no technique. You do have some tools and could hone them if you choose. Start calling out World Champions when you've had 10 more fights and have at least beaten some contenders. Hatton or Witter would beat you down as would a dozen or more fighters at 135. Why are people even taking a guy with 16 pro fights seriously right now? Is there no one else to speak of?
I can't see him fighting Hatton unless Kahn was almost at the top and Hatton was big time on the slide.
If Amir Khan wants someone then fight Malignaggi..if he gets by him THEN call out the others
hmm smells like journowarren.
Yes he could have said it & meant it or it's spun.
It could be spun to make him seem more arrogant than he his therefore ensuring people like me want him to get his faced hammered everytime he fights thus making sure people keep watching (££££) his fights.
again if we're being mean he looked good against someone whose last meaningful fight was 8/9 years ago....and looked good doing it
Amir has looked impressive recently but he has no right to be calling out top level fighters in a higher weight class.
they would both murder him
