Why is Emmanule Steward in such a rush for Andy Lee to get KTFO by Pavlik?

Every single time,I read about Andy Lee,it's Steward saying that Lee is ready to beat Pavlik,he'll beat Pavlik easy,he'll fight the winner of Pavlik-Duddy. I didn't think Lee was that good!!?:cwm3:

I think Steward still has some demons after his big mouth kept stating and re-stating that JT would KTFo Pavlik in 5,look at how that backfired.

You know Andy Lee looks good but I'm not sure if I'm totally sold on him.

Especially considering all the hype he gets from Steward.

Like that fight he had in Ireland, he was pretty good but he looks a bit open for right hands and he really needs to get some more experience, he really hasn't fought anybody. Also needs to cut down on the clowning after he gets hit, obviously didn't help Pavlik in the Taylor fight.

I wouldnt put to much weight on what emanuel steward is saying about his guy. I mean, for now im going to associate that with building confidence in your stable. Him going on the record saying lee will be able to go toe to toe with pavlik must give lee a semi-chub

Stewart is always talking Pavlik down . He must hold a grudge from when Pav destroyed Taylor with ease

really? because he was given pavlik props for starchin JT

I think steward sees something in pavlik, and just needs a fighter who can carry out his instructions and do what he thought taylor could have. I don't agree but that's what i think is going through his head

I haven't seen him fight yet, but there are a lot of boxing journalist who are calling him a future pound for pound champ.

Andy Lee is a beast, he has fast hands, he's a southpaw, he's got length and he's got tons of power.

He's got a good style to give anyone trouble and he's going to be a champion, there's no doubt in my mind whether it's at 160 or 168 he's going to make lots of noise.

Thanks for the clips Lyle first time I've seen him in action he damn sure has alot of potential.

Andy Lee is definitely IMO one of the right guys to beat Pavlik... I think he has better snap to his punch that Pavlik's average chin will not be able to handle, He's as tall as Pavlik, he's a far better tactician than Pavlik, and he is faster than Pavlik though he isn't a speed demon or anything.

While that maybe true Lee is very open to right hands which is Kelly Pavlik's best punch. And im not sure about Lee's punch resistance either, i think Lee has a lot of talent but there are still some unanswered questions about him, and until they are answered Pavlik KO's him at the moment.

He does have to fight some top opposition before he is thrown in with the big dogs but in my opinion he's ready for guys like Abraham and Winky Wright already.

Brian Vera will be walked through, I don't see that fight going very long at all.

Andy is ready for some bigger and better fighters....I don't think it will be too long before he does warrent a shot at Pavlik but I suppose that will happen at 168 after Taylor-Pavlik II and either the big money bout between the winner of Calzaghe-Hopkins or a Rubber Match...that will be Andy Lee's time so roughly a year or two away.

In the meantime he can fight up from the Brian Vera's of the world to hopefully a guy like Arthur Abraham or Winky Wright.

Eh? Already ready for Abraham and Winky, you say. How do you work this out? Lee has yet to fight anyone even remotely in their class. Put him in with someone like Zertuche or Elcock in two or three fights' time, perhaps, but stay well clear of the elite level for now.

As to why Steward is in such a hurry, dunno. Maybe the Kronk is in financial trouble again.

Well Andy was one of the worlds best amateurs a short number of years ago.
In the years since, he's been a principle sparring partner to Klitschko, Taylor, Cintron and many Kron k fighters.

Of all the current Kronk fighters Andy is the golden boy. It's well publicised he's living in Stewarts house andStewart spends hour upon hour training him.
Nothing would surprise me with Andy.

andy lee looks like he can be big but putting him against pavlik at this stage is bad decision making. give him more experience against better opposition before having him face a beast like pavlik

I don't see how being able to spar with Wladimir Klitschko while being a middleweight would demonstrating anything either than Andy should be able to handle what Pavlik has to dish out. Pavlik is obviously a hard hitter, but he hit both Taylor and Miranda a lot of times before he was able to take either one out... One of the great ko artists of the past would be able to ko either of those guys with one clean hard shot early IMO.

Well training with Wladimir has obviously helped him hook off the jab....training with Taylor is a big help.

You can tell by the way he fights he is ready for bigger and better things physically but he has to be brought along mentally. Big fights, headline fights, main events on TV are really big deals, they throw off a fighters preparations and warm ups right before the fight and there's a lot to worry about.

Let Andy fight on ESPN or HBO a time or two and he'll be ready for anyone or we will know what he's ready for.

But he has a longway to go yet before a Pavlik type fight

Mentally or Psychologically maybe but physically he's huge and knows how to effectively use his punches.

Once he's ready I think he'll whip Pavlik as he has similar height and size and yet faster hands and is a better pure boxer as well.

He will have to be able to take a punch though
