BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Seems like Hopkins is an angry man these days.
I reckon outside the ring he's probably the scariest boxer there is. He's got a real predatory killer nature. One scary dude :o

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Funny thing about Bhop, he is creating a ruckus over there. If the camera was off, he would probably be there laughing.

You know what?Fuck that "Bruises To prove It" Reporter fool.Hopkins Vs. Calzaghe 24/7 will make Mayweather /Hatton series look like a rated Pg event. There going to shine up the outlandish stuff.
Hopkins will face just as many Intense headgames prior to the fight as he Is known to use during his fights.;D Good stuff. I would pay top dollar to be live at the weigh-In.......:o
Hopkins is just as skilled a buisness man as he Is Great Fighter

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
The closer this fight gets, the more I think Hopkins is really going to fuck Calzaghe up.

The Brits are coming once again.;)

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
He wasn't having a go at Bunce in that clip.
Seems like Bunce stopped him from killing someone that works for him.
Remember a few years ago Bunce did a piece on Hopkins for the BBC walking round Philly and all that lark...

because he's angry?

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Hopkins talked like this before the Taylor fights. I reckon he acts like this when he feels threatened.
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
All I know is that I bet we fans are in for a treat on fight night. I can't believe it's actually going to happen finally. It won't be boring, as Joe's going to make Hopkins fight; and then it gets interesting. I gotta go with Hopkins on this one if anyone wants a friendly rep bet:)

Somebody point out the part Im supposed to be offended by,because Im not seeing it.

Ok now you boys go to your rooms and calm down. You're both losing as much perspective as B.Hop. "My feet are cold, the coffee is weak, the hot chocolate is made from water not milk, it's too cold" OMFG!!!! I was waiting for him to say "Don't you know who i am?" And Bunce's lips were a much darker shade of brown when he appeared on the TV show, that's all i saw no bruises.

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Funny thing really, i remeber when i was with a boxer a while ago during the final week to his fight, he was very very calm, joking about like he wasn't days away from a title fight, i commented about how calm he was and he said to me when you see boxers lose their temper, when you see them get angry during the fight build up it's because its getting to them, some hide it well, some controll it, others lose it.
One could question if it's because the lack of respect hopkins has been shown, you could see it at the hatton vs mayweather weigh in he didn't like it, in america being disrespected, then he comes over here, scribes make a fool out of him, fans don't give a crap for him. Bunce said about how big hopkins is said to be in the states, but out of all the "american greats" his name has never been anything in the uk, the rest have made a name here, even if they haven't fought, i believe hopkins never has - mayb thats why he his showing his temper, or maybe it's simply signs of what's ahead is getting to him.
As some one said a hopkins vs calzaghe 24/7 sure as hell would be good:P hopkins and lil enzo would steal the show.

I hate to disagree with you VD but Hopkins isn't beating Joe....Hopkins may talk the talk and with out a doubt he is an all time great but....Calzaghe is not exactly fond of Hopkins...In fact when Joe made the statement..
"I AM GOING TO END BERNARD HOPKINS CAREER"
I don't think I have ever heard Joe talk about an opponent with such distain...Hopkins tried to embaress Calzaghe at the lead up for PBF/Hatton...Joe did not take kindly to it....
At 44-0 with 32 KO's be it Hopkins or anyone else from 160-175 it is not wise to piss off the SMW champion

Im hoping Calzaghe will come and bring all that fury and Emotion full face...Ahem, I mean full force,Dont doubt for a minute Daxx,Its all very calculated with Hopkins and Ask yourself...Who Is the one REALLY getting stirred up ?? I hope Hopkins does not over analyze S!!! and sticks to Making a Calzaghe pay for His tactical errors. NO matter where you sit,I do think this will be one for the record books ;D

Although I do agree that Calzaghe has a great shot of beating Hopkins... If he does, it's not going to be because he is more up for it or mentally stronger, that's for damn sure imo. Hopkins might lose this fight, but he's not going to lose the mind games and he's not going to lose his cool in there because of anything that happens before the fight. IF anyone does, that will be Joe. He's shown much more tendency to be frustrated by an opponents tactics in ring than Hopkins EVER has. Even if Hopkins is losing, he's controlling the pace and cool as a cucumber in there.

That's really grasping for straws there if you ask me.. Very few big name American fighters are commonly known in the UK. I doubt Hopkins is letting that bother him much at all, he's just trying to play the villain as he has done frequently in recent years.

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Im still looking for the part where he threatens him
Last I checked motioning and using the f-bomb doesnt constitute a threat,if it did,all of South Philly would be in jail tommorrow
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
I'm just trying to figure out why that table is so small. Looks like they stole it from a midget strip tease; only thing missing is the pole....:D
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Bollocks!!
It's all hype for the fight.
No way does Bernard use his style to dictate Calzaghe. It will be another fight like v. Jermain Taylor, but Calzaghe's edge will be bigger.
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Calzaghe will outhustle him for sure.
Nard can't cope with Joe's workrate at this stage of his career. Hell, Winky's workrate was giving him problems in a lot of rounds - but Joe is Hopkins size, Winky was a midget compared to Hopkins.
Also, Hopkins is a DICK
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
I just thought it was a funny vid Monkey sorry if I worded it wrong. I never meant to imply it was offensive, I just thought it was entertaining ;)

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
It is funny. Nice one. Hopkins seems to be feeling the need to play the bad guy no matter whether he's trying to psych a guy out or complaining because his feet are cold. Hee hee, his feet are cold so he has to make out he's being "pushed" so he has to "push back man". Wouldn't want to be the waiter that brought him shellfish when he ordered steak when the cameras are on.
But this is nothing to Hopkins. Like others have said whatever happens before the fight is not going to affect BHop. I remember when he was chased out of the venue by Tito's fans who were all going to kill him after he stomped on Titos flag. The pre fight stuff is Hopkins bread and butter these days. In the fight is where Joe has his best chance.

No problem
If what he's spazzing about is true though,Im not suprised he did it,guys in training for a major fight, and is in his 40's,getting dropped in to an ice box,is a muscle pull looking for a place to happen

Wasn't saying that was the reason...Just saying that because Hopkins is all fired up and pissed off does not mean that he is going to win....Don't coun't Joe out is my point....Which is why I replied to VD with what I wrote

Well considering he is FORTY THREE YEARS OLD, I think any loss would end his career.

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
im glad b-hop had a go at him, mr bounce always thinks hes to clever was his own good, you'd think he's been a 10year long world champ the way he goes on sometimes
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
In relation to Nuclear Bull's above comment...
I totally agree.

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
Hopkins trying to get Calzaghe to loose focus and to get himself up for the fight by playing the victim. Calzaghe too experienced and Hopkins will use all the dirty Philly tactics in the ring but it will not work.

Im begginning to resent the hell out of this crap
Was it Keith Holmes or Bernard that had his trunks around his nipples
Was it Antwun Echols or Bernard that delivered a freaking hip toss in the corner
Hint,not Bernard
-
Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
I am not hating on B Hop, totally fascinated with him as a boxer and a man. I cannot wait for this fight. B Hop will use all the tactics he can get away with, it worked against Tito and Winky but not against Taylor.

He started slow against Taylor
As far as dirty, you dont want to have to work a clinch, learn to jab.Im sick of hearing about "dirty Philly tactics"
We fight in,tough tit, actually for a Philly guy,Bernard uses the outside well
You want dirty, check out an Evander Holyfield head butt,it shouldnt be hard,he does it every single fight
Yeah we all get trained with the dirty stuff, but that doesnt mean its a given we're going to be dirty

Re: BHop threatens Steve Bunce
I did not think he lost his title to Taylor, first fight I thought he won and second it was a bore draw.
Taylor mentioned the Philly tactics when he beat Winky and he will use them where necessary, and against Galzaghe they will be.
