Contrary to recent reports, sources close to the situation have just confirmed that three-time world champion Sugar Shane Mosley will indeed be facing former unidsputed welterweight champion Zab Judah on May 17th at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The bout will take place on HBO pay-per-view.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
its GG for whoever loses, i like both fighters
i just want judah to win because i feel mosley's days are numbered and i dont feel that he can beat anyone who got a title except quintana (but i cant count him out anymore since he beat williams)

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
I just don't get why Judah gets chance after chance:confused:

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
should be a good fight, if it happens id pick shane just outsmarting Zab, but it doesnt seem like Zab has to win fights to get big fights so he probrably doesnt care hell prob get the cintron v marg winner next lol surely he needs to take a step down and build some wins up if he loses this fight.?

What is he getting a chance at here? Mosley doesn't even own a belt. It's not like Judah is skipping ahead of mandatory challengers for a title. This is a non-title "stay busy" fight for Mosley. Judah has the same right to the fight as anyone else.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
This fight would of been great at 140
-
Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
Zab won't stay focused enough to beat shane...
-
Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
Mosley wins. Should be a good fight though.

He seems to choke at every opportunity and by chance I mean a well paying fight. It may be exciting, but we know what will happen, we know the outcome already, I just cannot see him getting past Mosley.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
I don't mind Mosley taking on Judah, but I do mind the fight being on pay per view. Why is it?
-
Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
Both washed up fighters looking for a payday, i dont blame them
-
Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
Zab by 5th round stoppage.!! I think zab understands that this is his last chance to really do something so he will have to step up his game and be impressive

I agree completely, my first thought was "who would actually want to pay to see this." I always love watching Zab get the shit beat out of him, but I've seen it many times now and I sure as shit wouldn't pay to see it again.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
I'd pick Mosley to win a UD here. IMO this fight has the potential to be a great! Both former Cotto opponents looking to stay in the mix. The winner moves on to bigger fights the loser gets one step closer to gate keeper status...

I completely agree, this should be a good fight, but in no way should this be PPV.

HBO is out of slots in the spring for free HBO fights. So Mosley had no choice but to go on PPV. There's a chance Barrera's comeback fight might be the co-main event.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
A fight to see who actually walks through the gate ........and which one will be collecting admition fee's at the entrance as the gatekeeper.
I like Mosley Late.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
I can't see Mosley outboxing Judah, Judah is faster, and he is a better pure boxer. However, he will become gun shy when he can't hurt Mosley, and he gets hit a few times, then he will just be overwhelmed in a boring fight. I don't think Mosley has the power to take out Judah.

How is Mosley a washed up fighter he gave Cotto a tough fight and gave Collazo a boxing lesson in his fight before that.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
first it was supposed to be judah - quintana, but the chance to fight for a belt came up for quintana, and then it was gonna be margarito but he also got a chance to fight for a belt
and now fuckin mosley
this makes me uneasy but i believe in judah

Mosley IS NOT fighting Quintana...he's DEFINITELY fighting Zab Judah...the contracts are already signed. The newspaper you're reading is just outdated...they need to catch up to the current news. LOL. Actually, I think that's the only site that I've seen report that news so far.

Re: Mosley-Judah set for May 17th on PPV
First thoughts are mosley by just boxing zab and pacing himself
wouldnt rule zab out though
