Yeah there is just something not right about how he always 'so matter of factly' shrugs off any chances of him ever fighting Witter.... Maybe their is something that we are missing that makes complete sense to Ricky for him NOT to fight him, but I just don't see it... Do it for the fans...

Any idea who his May fight will be Donny?

According to Manchester Evening News it's very likely to be Juan Lazcano.

On reflection it's not a bad opponent. A decent name and a very winnable fight.

Yeah I threw up an article yesterday saying it would be Lazcano.

Lazcano is an ok fight, although he hasn't done well as of late with losses to Castillo and Harris.

"I would love to knock witter out"...then do it Ricky...Do it!

He should fighter Witter and Paulie after the Lazcano fight, then retire before the Guiness takes it's toll.

Yes i think it would have all the hype of Benn Eubank fight , let get it on!!!!

Just as big as Macca Haye or Eubank Benn after Witter beats Hopkins.

. . .and Hatton knows it . Imagine if it were the other way round . Witter wouldnt be able to show his face ! It seems unfair but we have Ricky to blame if the fight never happens .

Ricky will only take the fight if he really has to. It's a fallback option for him if he loses in future to somebody he's supposed to beat.

There aren't enough media/fans behind Witter so that Ricky gets anynegative coverrage for avoiding him. No mass media coverage of the fact Hatton is dodging fighting a legitimate world champion who lives 50 miles up the road from him means that Hatton can continue ignoring him and only hardcore fight fans will complain about it.

I'd love to see Hatton knock Witter out, but think Witter might cause Ricky some problems.

I read an article that was saying - Hatton called out PBF and got his chance, why doesn't Hatton give Witter a chance now?

It's the biggest fight at Jr Welterweight, the most intreging imho.

Come on Ricky, put down the pint of guiness and the chinese take away and give Witter a fight.

i'll never forget at the Bradford v Salford rugby league a couple of years ago when witter came out on the pitch before kick-off, obviously the stand with the salford fans booed with the manchester connection, but to my great delight a big portion of the bradford fans booed him as well, needless to say i was giggling like a school girl:D
