I wonder if Arum should give Winky a call?

This wouldn't even be a proper fight. Putting Duddy in the ring with Pavlik is only going to hasten Duddy's trip to the grave.
Winky Wright would be an interesting match-up. But I think Pavlik deserves a few good pay-days as he's shown definitive grit and shocked a lot of naysayers.
Duddy shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Pavlik.
I guess if I was being matchmaker, I think Pavlik should fight Sakio... it's kind of a given seeing as how Calzaghe got some exposure by ravaging Manfredo from Contender. I think Pavlik could get a good payday and some decent exposure by taking out Bika, and I'm sure Sakio wouldn't mind the good payday as well.
i think pavlik would rather defend his belt than fight at smw I'd like to see him as the unified champ :)
Good for Duddy. If they put him in its pretty much just a cash out fight.
Hopefully Wink will be put in there
Pavlik could offer sergio mora a fight, altho he'd probably just knock it back....
The fight makes sense from a financial point of view and it should be an impressive KO win for Pavlik. I'd rather see him fight John Duddy rather than the rumoured match with the shot Felix Trinidad.
Anyway Gary 'Rocket' Lockett is the mandatory contender so will be good to see Pavlik fight in Wales later this year.;D
As I stated in a different thread right after the fight, even though Duddy won last night, I think that this cut is going to prevent him from fighting Pavlik. I don't think he would be cleared in time to train properly for a June fight against Pavlik.

Although I don't think Duddy is ready for Pavlik, I think that it would be an entertaining fight, since Duddy is not afraid to brawl.
And since we know that Tito won't go down to 160, because he can't make that weight anymore, I also have to wonder if Winky will price himself out, he has been demanding too much lately, so I don't know if this is fight that can be made.
So I don't know where Uncle Bob will go next. I guess it's anyone's guess now.
Winky is an option at some point for Pavlik, but I doubt for the fight in June. Pavlik's coming off a big win over Miranda and the two over Taylor, I think Arum wants him to get in one easier fight, before taking on a bigger challenge in the fall.
I don't think Arum/Pavlik will go right to Winky like Taylor did after his two wins over Hopkins. If Pavlik can't get Abraham to fight him in the fall, maybe Winky steps in there.
That cut looks to be about 2 inches long and down to the bone. It is a bad one. :o
TBH I'm glad Duddy didnt knock Smichet out, because people would be saying he's ready for a Pvlik type . We all know as evidenced last night he's still a work in progress. He was moving his head, just not protecting it while moving it....but he did do alot better when he settled down and boxed more. The jab looks like its getting better....a little. Few more fights before a title shot IMO. That cut was nasty btw, even worse than Yuri Foremans against Tsurkan, it was like a third eye socket.
Very true, we don't need a fight that will get a fighter seriously injured.
I say Pavlik had better focus on unifying the titles at 160. Abraham or Felix Sturm.....Kelly should feel somewhat at ease fighting either across the pond because with his power and style he should be able to really put it to those guys
Man people must want this poor guy to die if Pavlik hits him he with have a 12 inch gash that covers his whole face. I think it is just a fight that will put this guy in the Hospital let Pavlik beat Abrham, Strum or Wright. If that is not the case then let Pavlik go up a weight division and grab all the belts which i think he can do.
thats good as duddy is clearly not ready for pavlik.
Uncle Bob says he is now looking at Giovanni Lorenzo or Randy Griffin to face Pavlik.
He said that Duddy is definitely out, at least for a June fight, he says they might meet up at a fight later in the year.
....I don't know about anyone else but I would LOVE to see Duddy spark Pavlik out after all the shit that has been posted about him
with that defence the only one to get sparked out would be duddy
Duddy will never be ready for Pavlik. Duddy will be hurt badly. Taylor would whip Duddy from pillar-to-post, what do you think Pavlik will do to him? It's a foolish match-up.
And before people start boasting about Andy Lee - particularly Emmanuel "I'm the greatest trainer that ever graced humanity" Steward, lets see this kid mature a bit and take on a few quality opponents.
Pavlik has things covered at 160 for a long spell. At least that's the way I see it.
I don't mean to pile on the guy but this is almost indescribably bad defense. I mean he's always in range with a total lack of head movement and he doesn't cover up. He makes for exciting fights but he won't last long like this.

Assuming that he won a fair decision he must have done some things better after this round but still
