This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Again I am gonna catch a beating for posting about Manfredo... C'mon, get it out of your systems.
Anyway. I think that a Duddy Manfredo fight at *MIDDLEWEIGHT* would be a good fight to watch.
Pete would have more bounce with less weight on him, yet not as drained as 154... Duddy would have a tough night but I think we'd see flashes of the old Manfredo.
I think this fight would be great to make and I think it would be a step up for Duddy...
I don't know if Duddy's handlers would take it though... ;D Pete would!:-X

Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Yeah I'd watch this one, then again I'd watch any Duddy fight :D
Publicity wise it would be great 4 both fighters, I recon Duddy would
take it by decision
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
I saw Duddy in his last fight , he looked regular in that fight , but at the end his cut looked horrible.......But i give his credits......:)
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Hey Pride have you got some part of Manfredo's promotional contract :)
You really love that guy .
but yes it would be watchable as both are pretty crude , in fact fighting a slugger like Duddy is the only way Manfredo is going to look like he has any boxing talent :)

Lol, grew up watching him progress. I also spared against him when I was fighting out of Pawtucket.(he beat me up. I was heavier by about 15lbs.):boxingmatch: It was when we were about 13.
I've like him cuz he at one point was taking the torch from Vinny Paz in the area as the New Englan draw.
I wouldn't refer to Manfredo as crude... He was actually a really good boxer down at 154.
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
I can see why you like Manfredo but it's like he does'nt perform on the big stage. Jeff lacy was there for the taking and Manfredo could have easily threw more punches and added a big name to his record but it seems like he gives his opponents too much respet maybe :-\ or when put under the limelight does'nt perform to his best, who knows

That's exactly the case... He looked good the first few rounds and faded to that lazy in-fighting... He may not be carrying 168 that well or that knockdown scared him. Non the less... If he can't start fighting the way he should be at this stage in his career(beating a bruised low confidence Lacy) then he's just gonna remain a lack luster regional fighter...:-\
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
.....sure that's a great idea
I love watching ANYONE (bar Sergio Mora) whip the absolute crap out of Peter Manfredo! I think those guys would be good for Andy Lee to fight right about now

Yea he needs to move back down, I give him the 2nd Mora fight BTW, he was definitely robbed there. That night was funny because Anthony Bonsante hammered Jesse Brinkley every round and threw more punches every round in their fight and he also never got the decision
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
lol Pride as soon as I saw the thread I figured ok so this will be Manfredo versus who?:D

Well, I tend to agree. I say andy lee beats duddy due to how hittable he is... I think some added speed of the loss of the 8 pounds would benifit Peter. Peter is much, much harder to hit then Duddy...
Andy Lee vs. Duddy
Andy Lee vs. Manfredo
Manfredo vs. Duddy
Manfredo vs. Andy Lee
...Would all actually be decent fights if fought at the 160 limit:)

But at 160... you wouldn't watch it?:)
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
I'd probably pick Manfredo to win this  I don't think I've ever used the words "I'd", "Pick", "Manfredo", "to win" in the same sentence ever before.
Duddy's just so poor defensively, its only a matter of time.

HAHAHAHAHA;D I got you... You've come to the dark side.
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
After watching manfredo/lacy i have a hard time backing anything peter would do.. he was scared after he got knocked down and didn't fight after that, in a fight that he DEFINITELY could've won.. Unbelievable, and a complete let down..
If he fought duddy the way he fought lacy (not throwing punches or moving, just throwing short punches on the inside) then duddy would either KO him or win a UD.. If manfredo actually came to fight like he fought spina/pemberton then it would be a magnificent battle of chins and power punches i think.. but i'd bet on manfredo not showing up.
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Its not so much a case of "Peter Manfredo what a boxer" !!!
Its a case of "Peter Manfredo what a boxer " ?? lol
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Andy Lee vs. Duddy
Andy Lee vs. Manfredo
Manfredo vs. Duddy
Manfredo vs. Andy Lee
I think Andy Lee Vs. Manfredo would be a much better fight than Manfedo Vs. Andy Lee ;D
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
I have already predicted this fight. I'm convinced it will happen once Duddy takes a loss and his star falls a bit. Peter will give him a boxing lesson. Manfredo got intimdated by Lacy after the knockdown, but I don't think Duddy will be able to intimidate him. Manfredo has better defense and handspeed than anyone Duddy has faced to this point.
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
...What do you mean AFTER the knockdown??? Manfredo was shit scared ALL NIGHT vs Lacy and we have no clue why.
Duddy could lose to Manfredo it is a risk....but less of a risk than fighting Sergio Mora....I do wish that Sergio fights someone worth a damn and gets his ass handed to him.
I think Duddy is more on par with those level of fighters than the Kelly Pavlik's of the division.

How would fight Mora be more of a risk? Mora got a gift decision in the second Manfredo fight, he took a year off at a critical time in his development, and drew with Elvin Freakin' Ayala, who lost twice to David Banks. I'm not saying Manfredo is great, but at least the guy is fighter and stays active.
I would give Mora about a 40% chance against Duddy and Manfredo a 60% change against him. I agree that Duddy is on a level with the Mora's and Manfredo's of the world. Pavlik would kill him.
Re: This fight would interest me at **MIDDLEWEIGHT**...
Lyle, if boxrec is correct, you'll be getting your wish. Mora is scheduled to fight Vernon Forrest in May at 154. He's going to be in deep deep trouble. Forrest is miles ahead of anybody he has faced.
For Mora's last fight, they dug up an old set of bones whose last fight was a loss to Zertuche in 2004. Now, coming off a that and a draw to Ayala, he's going to fight Forrest. This is almost as bad a Manfredo fighting Calzaghe.
