An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
This cover the first 4 rounds
Part 1
http://youtube.com/watch?v=OWNC7IJ-tL8
Part 2
http://youtube.com/watch?v=sqldHEJ4p7U
I will finish the rest later. Rounds 5 thru 10. The best is yet to come.
Reminds me of the Patriots. Once people knew they were cheating, it changed the game.
He wont be able to cheat for ever. He will get caught and it will change plenty of things in the ring for Floyd. He will have to actaully fight using more of his gloves instead of his elbows and that other karate shit he pulls in the ring ;D
Wake up REFS! Cheat ALERT!
;D
I know the Floyd fans are going to be angry with me and call me all sorts of names but I am already used to it. lol
So fire away.
;D

Lol; damn you never quit, huh?
I don't think the Floyd fans will be mad; they'll either feel sorry for you or be laughing their asses off as usual with your comedy relief;D

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Danny you are relentless. I'm gunna trust my hunch and guess that you're not really a huge fan of Floyd Mayweather?
-
Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
You carnt blame Floyd, you have to blame the ref for letting him do it? Even Hatton said "if i could have got away with it i would of been doing it aswell"

I can't blame Floyd but I can't respect him for it either.
So you agree Floyd is a cheater and Joe is incompetent?
;)
Pound 4 Pound king is nothing more than a cheat.
:o
Some one who is supposed to be that great and is compared to the second coming of Christ, should not have to cheat,..
if in fact they are really all that great.
Right?
And I am not even done with this video yet. Floyd was spent in rounds 8 thru 10. Ricky was more spent and that is why he got knocked the phuk out but Floyd was holding and gasping for air and this is something I had never seen in Floyd. I guess bending below the waist over and over again and elbowing Ricky all night long took a lot out of Floyd ;D
Behold, the fall is coming.
Cotto time is near!

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Cheating is just one variable on the journey to being great.
In most contact sports i'd say illegal tactics are used by the very best.
Cotto aint no angel either......the low blows that got him back into the fight against Torres and the kidney shots he was hitting Quintana with.
It's a rough game and your opponent is trying to take your head off. A bit of rule bending here and there is sometimes the difference between good and great.
Personally it's the referee's job to sort it out....but while fighters get away with it, they're not going to stop. And i don't really blame them.
-
Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Don't forget Zab either. Cotto's no angel... but he's no Floyd either so people don't care as much.
-
Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Danny I agree with you fully.
Floyd is a cheating dirty ass twat who deserves to be stripped of P4P#1.
I'm tempted to travel to Manchester and wait outside the Hatton gym in Denton and show them this on my laptop to show how he was CHEATED!!!
"Fights no welter" Floyd AKA Counterfit money known also as cheating ass Mayweather.

Danny, I know that you gave PBF some credit not that long ago.. but really with all of these threads you're just showing that you're in denial of PBF's skills or something.. I mean, there were many fights where he didn't use an elbow.. Ricky just happened to be a fighter who gets in close and holds and does all his fighting on the inside..
You can do ALL of the video posting and ranting that you want, but the BOTTOM LINE is that those elbows weren't the reason PBF won the fight.. I mean, i don't think anyone can argue that.. As a fan of Floyd, i can obviously see your point as far as he got away with some elbows in close, but it's not like he was throwing elbows to hit Hatton (like you see Hopkins/Holyfield do) He was using them as defense and to push Hatton back.. Again, Danny, this is becoming a quite bit redundant.. Floyd's elbows didn't win him the fight, or any fight.. he wins with his defense and speed.. You can bitch all you want but that is the Truth.. that is Fact, and that is why he is undefeated, not because of the elbows.. he is not a fraud, he does not cheat to win, he's just THAT good.. and you need to accept that so that you can stop wasting your time making/posting videos that are falling on deaf ears (or eyes in this case)..

Floyd is more than a Fraud. He will get my credit when he faces a natural welter but ooops he never will because he won't face a natural welter coz he's scared his "0" may go
"Uses them as a defense to push Hatton back", let's take a look below:
No really he does not use them to push Hatton back, Floyd is cheating SCUM!!!

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Once people accept the theory of "scoreboard" the happier we will all be. It doesn't matter if floyd throws elbows, pull a gun, blown magic dust in his opponets eyes...he is still the undeafeated champ and pfp best and nothing but maybe a lost (which is highly unlikely at this point) will change that. We can cry all we want about how he wins but the fact is that he does. If cotto beat floyd using the same tactics this stuff wouldn't even be an issue, everyone would spend so much time basking in the great defeat of the mighty floyd and life would go on. Everyone already knows what floyd does and how he does it yet no one can stop it or him from winning so i put the blame on his opponets. Don't go to alaska without a jacket and bitch about it being cold. You know the weather out there be prepared, if you come back with frosbite you have no one to blame but yourself. Take a page from the guy..hatton doesn't exactly have the cleanest track record himself, so floyd negated any of those dirty tactics and made it a non-issue. Floyd opponets should do the same. One guy is allegedly cheating yet has the belts and an undeafeated record the other has nothing but a claim that he was cheated and now a loss, who would you rather be ?? Is is even really cold in alaska...just sounded like a cold place...

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
I'm with Ono on this. It's all part of the game. The tricks of the trade if you will.
I remember when Reggie Miller retired from the MBA and then gave 15 minute interview on all the tricks he used to get away with fouls and to make the ref believe he was fouled while shooting among other things.
Mayweather is a veteran, boxing is his life and he knows what he has to do to win and how to handle himself in that ring. This is true for a lot of veterans

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Good Man keep this kind of stuff coming have some rep ;)
Makes me appreciate how good and crafty Floyd really is. You can slow down every fight and see this stuff, Floyd beat Ricky at his own rough power game and no one ever expected it. Thing of beauty
I cant wait for Floyd to put it on Cotto too.. I look forward to the xext video

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
First of all Leftlee and danny have no idea what they are talking about, Mayweather isn't most of the timing using his elbow to hit his opponent, he uses it to block a possible over hand right, and that is perfectly fine. However, when he creates distance with it, and when he creates distance by putting his glove on his opponent's collarbone its illegal. Also where is the rule you can bend below the waist? IF you avoiding a punch you can bend as low as you want.
I agree however that Cortez was breaking them up to quickly when Hatton had Mayweather on the ropes, however IMO that was more to Hatton's advantage because Mayweather was kicking his ass off the ropes. Why should Mayweather be criticized when guys like Evander Holyfield, Bernard Hopkins both lead in with their heads their whole career. I mean Holyfield deserved to get his ear bit IMO he was clashing heads with Tyson on purpose and thats bs. Same with all the shit Hopkins does, but thats why the pros is different from the amateurs. Watch Pep vs Saddler, watch many of the old school fighters and you will see they were cheap as hell.
Also why are you guys still complaining about Mayweather and fighting a true welterweight, who would beat him ? Margarito? Williams? give me a fucking break they couldn't hit him if he had his hands tied behind his back at this point. Cotto has a chance, but its a very slim because Mayweather is so good. That being said Cotto is known for throwing plenty of low blows when the going gets tough, and he throws more kidney shots than anyone, though I love it.

Yes I made these.
What bothers me are several things.
Everyone screaming Ricky is a cheater.
Floyd is a big cheater too.
We say that Brit refs are dirty. US refs are no better.
I will finish rounds 5 thru 10 when I have time.
The plot thickens and it get's worse. The best of this is yet to come.
;D

Did you even watch the hatton-tszyu fight? Do you know that an intentional low blow is a mandatory two point deduction or dq? Did you know excessive clinching is a foul? Did you know headbutting is also a foul as well as elbows? Thats what tszyu got, the ref did him no favours and your bitchin about floyd being a cheater. Floyd uses his elbows...to make space not to hit opponents with unlike hatton.

this is more against Floyd than support for Hatton ;)

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
I actually made my first comments on this post without watching the videos ( i was at work and they dont work)
After watching the viedeos i tend to feel a bit sorry for Ricky. It appears he was in a no win situation. Cortez went into the fight thinking Hatton was the dirty fighter. On the sly, Mayweather was the one doing the majority of the fouling.
Ricky chances went from around 20% to pretty much zero. When Floyd bends below the waist, nobody can hit him (if he tries that in WWE Hornswoggle will kick the living piss out of him :D). Ducking below the waist initiates clinching because Hatton only has 2 choices, either don't punch or punch downwards. Once they're clinching, Floyd does the holding and applies the rough stuff. Over the course of the fight Cortez presumes Hatton is the one fouling.....and Ricky loses his head.
Now to me this actually highlights the fact that Mayweather is one of the smartest fighters i have ever seen. It only adds to his talents. The fact that he has so much natural ability and he has more tricks up his sleeve than even Bernard Hopkins is quite frightening.
I'm a big Hatton fan and i genuinely don't think he was given a fair crack at it, but you can't help but admire Floyd's tactics for this fight. He was far too cute and smart for both Ricky and Cortez.
I can't see how anybody will beat him. What would Cotto be able to do against that? :o

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
i gotta say great .... amean great video........ but all it does for me is show how smart floyd is..... ricky is not exactly the most righteous fighter out there........ floyd had to do what he had to do to beat ricky, he had to be rough and dirty to win and he did it and won..... rickys done it before. so has hopkins, ali, jones, calzaghe and alot of other great fighters....in boxing you have to do things to frustrate or wear down your opponent and if you can do it it without getting caught it just means your really good at what you do..... so this donest make me look down on floyd, just shows me how smart he is

Yeah mate i realise that but its just kinda hard to sit through post after post of someone saying that one of hattons opponents cheated against him. Hatton is just pissed off and his pride has been stomped all over coz he got beat at his own game.

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
Floyd would make a great Ice Hockey player!
Hatton shouldn't complain, he is no angel in the ring just ask KT!

Re: An in depth look at Floyd's illegal tactics in the ring.
People saying its Floyds great skill getting away with it are crazy it was plain as day, a ref of Joe's calibre should stamp that shit out from the start. I think he was instructed to protect Floyd, running to help him like a little bitch "no Ricky no Ricky" pathetic
I remember when Hatton bent over and asked "where can I hit him when he does that?"

When Floyd cheats, it's skill. When Cotto cheats, it's wrong and dirty right?
;D
What a burn on the Floyd fans who were calling Cotto and Ricky cheaters. Who is the cheater now? I wont mention no names JT_Rock, Frozen Solid. Ooopps.
Those same people who claimed Cotto and Ricky are cheaters have now changed their tune to "If you can get away with it, why not"
:o

If all this cheating didn't help Floyd win then why the hell does he do it?

Awesome/Brilliant work Danny G. How do you have time for all of this? I am sure many Floyd fans or even the unbiased ones will say that this video montage is biased and typical of you. But it is definitely thought provoking and you did what every person with an opinion should do and that is show specific proof. It's hard to argue with you on this one. That was your all time best right there Danny G.

RP, most dirty fighters don't throw blatant elbows or low blows. They try to mask them. Look at Bernard Hopkins how he hits low and on the thigh during a clinch and has the wherewithal to do it on the opposite side of where the referee is standing so that it can't be seen. The question is, without the illegal stuff, would Hatton have been more effective? That is the question to consider I believe.
