What's going on fellas?
It's your boy Mick still recovering from Sat. nights FUCKEN excilerating fights. When I say fights that's exactly what I mean from the undercards to the Main event....

Tony DeMarco put on an excellent performance BUT not before being caught in a crossfire against Juan Martinez who never backed down and shot back.

Jorge Paez Jr. got the KO of the night... Fuck! was that BRUTAL! :o

Don't ask me about the POST fights (post Vasquez-Marquez) cause I was DAMN! FUCKEN DRUNK!! :drunks:

Anyway I hope to bring you things you didn't see on that night like pics of the Paez fight and video along with some other stuff.

I'll start off with a shot of the arena very early in the day...

Nice man, that was a great fight, who do you think won? I had Vasquez by a point, and it could have easily been a draw or 1 point the other way if Marquez just ran in the last round. NC, I didn't score the fight that night on a round by round basis BUT I was FULLY aware that fight was VERY close. Coming into the 12 round I told myself that whoever won the last round CLEARLY will be the winner in my books on that night. Vasquez did and therefor I think hes the winner.

I will try and watch the fight again sometime this week and score it round by round... Thanks for the comment.

As the fight took on the early rounds of the fight Israel seemed to win those rounds.

As the fight went on it was a back and forth battle. Israel trying to get inside while Rafael tried to stick his jab out and keep Israel at a distance.

Israel with his guard up and hands high. Although Rafael managed to throw straight down the middle and still connected with uppercuts and straigh rights...

Oh!! SHIT!!! Rafael drops Israel... :o
By the look on Israels face this doesn't look good he looks to be in pain.:(

Referee counts for Israel as Israel nods his head that he's OK.... :o

As the fight moved into the middle rounds 4, 5, 6 Rafael was wining those convincingly...
At the same time BOTH fighters were marking eachother up around the face. Marquez left eye began to swell as Vasquez right eye bled and the his left eye was begining to swell.

As the fight came into the late rounds I was just in another dimension...
By the 10th round I had broken my chair from slamming it on the floor and jumping and holding onto it so I watched the rest of the fight standing... :-\ I just couldn't fucken help it :o
Lucky I didn't punch the guy next to me in one of those anxious moments during the fight. ;D

For round 12 I was beyond myself and I SLAMMED my chair one last time as Vasquez came out and tossed up Rafael.....

I gotta say that to have been able to sit ringside for JLC-Corrales I and Rafael-Israel I and II is something that I will carry with me alongside memories like my 1st bike ride, my graduation days, my 1st time :bananasex: , the 1st tv gig I got.... along with other great days.

The atmosphere, the way the fights went from begining to end to the boxers and celebrities I met. It's just been an experience of a lifetime and I'm very thankful for every opp. I've gotten....

Sidenotes....

- If you see the JCC arrival video you'll notice that JCC goes down the stairs that are right next to me. The video I shot is very short because as I was chanting and yelling CHAVEZ! CHAVEZ! CHAVEZ! I realized Oh! shit this is JCC what the fuck Am I doing shooting this video I better take my ass near the stairs and have him sign my glove. I shut off the camera and went over there I got right in front of him and asked him to please sign my glove. He just walked past me.... :( I did notice that he DID NOT sign not one single item nore did he stop to take pictures with ANYONE. :(

- I also managed to get close to Jack Nicholson and I asked if he could sign a glove for me but he was busy talking with Shaw, Stallone and a shit load of other people...
How cool would it have been to have gotten Jack Nicholson to sign my glove... :D But he didnt... :(

- Once I saw Jack was busy and I aslo saw Stallone getting mobbed I pretty much knew my chances were pretty damn! low of getting either one to sign my glove. Then security got pushy and starting clearing out the people. :(

- In the video of the Boxers Introductions you'll notice a girl right infront of me with highlights (blondish hair) that's Israel Vasquez wife who sat in the chair infront of me with her kids for the fight. Before Lennon announces the winner she had already began clapping and cheering almost certain Israel had won.

- Other celebrities that were there that you might not have known: BCD, Tracy Ullman, Mario Lopez, Vince Phillips, Ethan Embry, Kevin Jackman, Goldberg, Shawn Merimen, Chris Arreola, Marco Antonio Barrera, Julio Cesar Chavez, Bobby Chacon, Jorge Arce, Ahmed Santos, Bernardo Osuna, Victor Zaragoza, Giovanni Segura.

- I came out on TV. As soon as Jimmy Lennon says "And still" when he announces the winner. They raise Israel up and then they cut to the crowd where I'm standing in front of a flag. I come out.... Look for the guy with the glasses. :cool:

I asked Jorge what had happened with his 'contender' series show he told me "I don't know. I don't know anything" :confused: which is weired cause I think he took it like I was an undercover agent or something trying to get info. out of him... I laughed and I said "I ain't no cop, or investigator if that's what your thinking" he told me "Well, you never know" and we both started laughing... ;D Funny dude man....
I asked him when he's fighting again he said in May. He has 2 opponents he's looking at he didn't want to give me any names.

Mick that looks like awesome fun. I am going to have to come out there and hang with you and all the celebs sometime :D

I mentioned in the RBR that we should have a spot the CutMeMick comp as i figured you would be there but the fight and everything was so exciting it was impossible to take ones eyes off the ring. What a fight. You're a lucky man.
