I'm going to meet Tommy Morrison,

I'm going to meet Tommy Morrison at a convention in the UK in couple of weeks and I'm pretty excited it does have to be said, I really like Rocky V and I also thought that was a great fight he had with Foreman, I watched it live on Sky Sports.

Just thinking what questions I could ask him, I know what I want signing already, my figure of him from Rocky V and the inlay to a video all about him, maybe I could ask him to show me how to throw a good punch so I can defend myself as I am a bit of a weakling.

What would you ask ? and hello by the way as this is my first post, :banana:

Just don't swap blood with him.

Be careful buddy, I wouldnt get within spitting distance.

If he wants to talk with you I suggest carrying a portable plastic window and holding it between you both.

and for God's sake wear gloves.

Welcome to the forum. It's pretty cool that you get to meet Morrison considering it sounds like you are a real fan of his. I'd advise you to ignore the pages of HIV jokes that are sure to follow your post and try not to let them sour your opinion of the forum. I don't know what I would ask Morrison, as I do not know that much about him, however I know if I was going to meet a fighter I was a fan of I would probably ask them a variety of questions about all the fights of theirs which I found most compelling. Maybe ask him about what drew him to boxing, what his life is like outside of the ring etc, but I wouldn't stray to far into questions about his personal life. I wouldn't bother asking him to teach you how to throw a punch, pretty much any boxing trainer could do that if you are interested.

Don't trade needles with him.

It's great to meet a boxer you support - the main thing is to try and act normal a lot of fans go all wierd when they meet a fighter....

I'd ask what his inspiration to box was as that always fascinates me. Also I would ask about his future plans.

I read it in Boxing News, there are going to be some other big name boxers. Make sure you speak to them too, and tell us all!:)

Sorry it took me a while to reply, but got to say it was brilliant and it had quite a funny twist because the item I took to sign they actually borrowed it from me. It was an old VHS video featuring some of Tommy Morrison's first fights and behind the scenes of Rocky V.

I also met his girlfriend Lisa who was also really nice, I hope I meet them again one day, all the other stuff at the event was really cool too, like the life size model of the Hulk and the car from Back to the Future.

Oh and just walking around and people like Anthony Daniels who played C3PO standing 3 feet away from you was well cool, I hope you like the photo which kind of looks like the most one sided fight in boxing history. :)
