Cruz is so slow that this shouldn't be that difficult for Clottey.
At least he should make Clottey work a bit unlike Alvarez so his shitty stamina could show up late but highly unlikely that will be enough.

Clottey is pretty feared, good to see him getting a fightw hich might gain him a little exposure.
What happens if Clottey looses? I think this will suck to high heaven as he has waited for his chance but been passed over. I hope he is in good shape and wins, being a fellow Ghanian.
I'll be rooting for Jose Luis Cruz. He's my friend. I see him almost every Saturday with friends. Interestingly, I have never seen him fight lol. I know he drawed Baldomir and lost a decision to Mosley. His record is: won 34 (KO 27) + lost 3 (KO 0) + drawn 2 = 39
Will this be on ESPN? In the newspaper it shows the fight will be at 6pm but doesn't say the channel.
The fight is on Versus.

Ive come around on Clottey.Deserves another big shot providing He takes the nod tonight.Lacks Consistancy at times.Yuri Foreman on the undercard is being steered at a title shot soon,He relies too much on feet and Jab but can box all night & The Jr.Middles need some depth.
Don't think I've ever seen Cruz. Seen Clottey plenty, and he's a very good fighter for the first half of his fights but his stamina just isn't up to par and he always lets his opponent back in the fight.
Easy night for Clottey.
I'm just hoping and PRAYING that there's time to at least show highlights of the Argenis Mendez fight. If they show the entire fight I'll love the Versus channel.

I hope he gets his chance. But you have to agree why nobody wants to fight him. He loose to Margarito(Controversial) and Margarito loose to Williams and Williams loose to Quintana.
Who would want to fight him at this moment?
I agree with the ref. It was a good stoppage. Cruz has been taking too much full-blown headshots.
Clottey-Cotto should be a good match-up.

I did think the stoppage was horrible last night.I understand he was taking punishment,but their was nothing really threatening about it.Clottey did hit him at will but Cruz recovered rather quickly from what I saw.Then to watch the second fight and have a man wobbiling all over the ring and nothing was stopped until he was defenseless.I am still not impressed with Clottey.He was beating an out of shape Margarito,a blown up Lightweight in Corrales (sorry buddy but you didn't belong that high) and Cruz a relatively unknown.I would like to see him fight Cotto,Mayweather,or Margarito/Cintron winner and I believe he would lose every fight.
