Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR.: "YOU'LL SEE A MUCH BETTER FIGHT AT 147 THAN YOU SAW AT 154"
"He's weighing 151. They are fighting at 150 so he won't have no problem making 147. I'm here to tell you, get ready to see a new and improved Oscar Dela Hoya. I think he'll do better against my son at 147," stated legendary trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. as he gave an update on Oscar De La Hoya's preparations for his May 3rd fight with Steve Forbes. Don't miss what else he had to say as he reveals that he may not be working with Zab Judah after all and shares his thoughts on Hopkins-Calzaghe, what happened between Steve Forbes and Roger Mayweather as well as his son's participation in Wrestlemania 24, stating, "From what I understand, he's supposed to do 2 or 3 more of them things that he did with them. My whole thing is he didn't get hurt so that was good. He could do what he feels like he wants to do. When the fight comes, we'll be ready." Check it out!

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
Floyd Sr. has no fucken idea what he's talking about.
ODLH at 147 is gonna look like a fucken corpse...
This is gonna end bad for ODLH. :-\

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I honestly did not think the fight was at 147lb, the only advantage that Oscar has is his size and to loose that is giving an big advantage away. Sue he still has his height and reach but the fact that Mayweather is not a real light middle gave Oscar and edge in the fight. The golden wally has lost the fight already.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
Just my opinion but this fight is a huge waste of time...oscar will jab more, floyd will know that, he'll win even easier this time.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
With Oscar's inactivity and having to go back down to 147 after being at 156 for a while doesn't bode well for the Golden Boy.
I think Mayweather is gonna win this fight by an even larger margin than the first one. UNLESS! Oscar can make it "The Night of the Jab!"

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
What possible reason could it be better for ODLH at 147. Even less suspense.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I think having the fight at 147 makes for a more exciting fight. If ODLH is lacking in any way then Floyd may attack more. If it was at 154 again i think we'd see the same fight again. If DLH is 151 now he should be able to make 147 fairly easily cos he has lots of time to lose the weight.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
Let's see how easy Oscar makes 151... If he doesn't have a hard time at all then I don't think 147 is that much of a problem. If anything going down to 147 might help his speed, stamina(because he will be in better shape), and his mobility. At worst though it could hinder his stamina, make him more susceptible to body shots, and drain his strength.

I hope Forbes wins and saves us from "THE WORLD AWAITS 2!"

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
the fight is at 147?
that takes away ANY of the almost non-existent interest i may have had

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
If the fight is at 147 then it will be a defense of Mayweathers Ring championship! That is one reason its better than at 154! It all depends on how DLH looks & performs in his fight with Forbes. If Oscar can get to 147 without weakening himself I think it could make for an interesting fight!!!

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I actually prefer it at 147 as well, Floyd will be more willing to trade at this weight, maybe leave a few openings for oscar to make it interesting. Just as long as it's different than the sparring contest at 154 it should be better.

Anyone agree with me about how both of these guys are ducking Cotto

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
On the night of "World awaits" didn't dela golden refuse to have a unofficial weigh.so he could have been as heavy as 158 or 160.
Im not conviced, but if Dela can get down to the weight without draining himself it could work in his favour.
Like someone said if Mayweather may be more willing to open up it gives oscar the chance to drop some bombs..and Oscar can definatly KO Mayweather if he get's the chance...big if mind you.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I don't think De La Hoya's ducking Cotto. He doesn't deserve to fight him.
De La Hoya will look like a zombie at welterweight. Anyone remember on 24/7 how miserable he looked with the food they were giving him to get down to 154? Think about it, he has to be doing even more of that for an even longer time to get down to 150. He'll have to do that nonstop until the weigh-in with Mayweather to not balloon over the limit. Oscar isn't doing anything but giving up the advantage he had when he LOST to Mayweather the first time.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I think it's a ridiculous statement to say "De la Hoya is ducking Cotto"
De la hoya has beennoperating in a completely different division in his most recent bouts, he's been semi retired and any speculation of a fight with Cotto has come from his lips....Ridiculous.

I really can't believe that people actually believes that suddenly lie of "I promise my wife I won't fight another Puerto Rican" crap . But what can anyone expect to think when OScar doesn't want to fight Cotto 147 strong WW and not be intered but then considers to fight Hatton 140 lbs or PAC 130, 135 lbs ? think about it.

Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
Oscar is getting hurt at 147.
-
Re: Floyd Mayweather Sr: "You'll See a Much Better Fight at 147 Than You Saw at 154"
I could have sworn that Mayweather Sr thought Oscar won the first fight, so how can he think it's going to be a better fight between the two.
