Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
I'll believe it when they both enter the ring but personally I'm surprised there even talking about it? But according to Arum they have been.
Does seem like Khan's interested in moving fast but Warren allowing something like this? Seems odd to say the least that they're even talking about it.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
Would be a BAD move for Khan at this point, he still has wholes that need to be filled f . Khan been dropping some recent, and looks good , However when the punches are coming back hard and fast the game changes.
my advise to him would be "tame the ego son. all in good time " that being said.
It would fun to watch while it lasted.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
I doubt it will happen this year.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
Khan is getting better and better, I thiink he'd give Pacquiao a tough fight. He's a massive lightweight whilst Manny has never even fought at the weight.
He's also been in a lot of wars and may not be the fighter he once was.
I don't think the fight will happen but if it did Khan has a live chance imo.

not happening simple as
i think the bloke who has written is actually takin the piss , fearless frank and bombastic bob :-X

C) whats to gain for pac-man oh his beat barrera twice, morales twice, had two great battles with JMM oh so next his goin to smash up inexperienced amir khan from england .... not a chance !

That's just how the guy writes, I've read his stuff before.
He wouldn't just flat out make up a quote from Arum.
I doubt it will happen either but apparently there's something to them at least talking about it.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
There's no way in hell that Khan fights someone of Pac's caliber this year. NO WAY.
Khan still hasn't even fought a legit Top 10 lightweight yet, let alone the 2nd best fighter PFP in the world.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
Yeah it's been reported in a few different places. How ridiculous would that be? I really think that would be over in the first round.
I'm no Khan fan but I would just feel bad, that's setting him up to blow his career. I couldn't believe this, it seems in the best interest of no one.

I don't like Pac. But the fact that I don't like him doesn't mean he's not a good fighter. Cuz he is. A great one. And he would destroy Con

Fuck me, you admitting to that :o :o
Anyways Khan would get destroyed here, he needs a lot more experience to even last a few rounds.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
if this fight would be 2 hits... pac hits khan and khan hits the canvas.
you cant fight feather fistd then jump in with the p4p no 1 hitter.
if this did happen i would guess it would be the last one on his contract with Frank
and Khan would be a total mug to take it... i know i'm the biggest guy here wanting Khan to step up but that is a step toooo far for him at this stage and would ruin his potential.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
The fight being linked to Dubai is the biggest giveaway it's nonsense. There's always big fights mooted for there.. they don't ever happen though.
Plus..that Mike Marley writes some seriously proper shite. Fact.

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
I like khan...but the difference between the guys he's been fighting and someone like pac is night and day. Manny would kill this kid. Khan is young and has plenty of time, he should progress slowly. Reminds me of berto in some ways in that i see berto being able to beat some of the better guys in the division, but to go straight to the top at this point is crazy. But like usual it could happen khan could miraculously win and i'll sit here looking like an asshole, who knows i wouldn't go that direction though.

There are ten of thousands of Filipinos in Dubai. Plus, UAE is a very rich country. And,.. is Khan an arab decent?

Re: Frank Warren and Bob Arum actually talking about Pac-Khan?
this is just so people will learn about kahn, this wont happen, warren may be trying to convince arum he wants to do it but just so arum mentions kahn to the american press
just a few weeks ago the plan was to put kahn against the worst champ in the world, gavin rees
since kahns automatic title is gone warren needs another way to get publicity for him, and this is the way

Yes, I suppose if one of the many massive fights linked to Dubai were going to happen this would be a goer.
But it wont happen in Nov 2008.
I'd bet my Saddos existence on it. Fact.

He's a shitty writer and speculates a bit much at times but then again he seems to call upcoming fights earlier then most. He was right about Cotto-Mosley before anybody else, Guzman-Arthur, a few others I can't remember so he's not always a waste of space.
I just think its interesting that they would even be talking about it, I'd be shocked if it happened any time soon. Could be a big money fight in a year and a half, two years.

I'm pretty sure it was him that first announced how everything was set in place for the Oscar-Floyd rematch too, back before Floyd-Hatton (he regarded Hatton as a gimme cause they wouldn't risk anything scuppering the rematch.. sorta was right).
He was working as Kessler's pressman in the run up to the Calzaghe fight, constantly spoke a lot of crap about Calzgahe, which is to be expected, obviously, but was also quite jarring.
So, he talks a lot of shite when I don't agree with him.. but apart from that I guess he knows the score

I have to agree with the Butcher. There's no way Khan get's in with Manny. There's no way he even gets in with the guy that beat Thaxton!!!It's just to get Khan's name out there.
