How intriguing is this match-up after watching their latest fights..
i mean, who the FUCK wants to fight margarito after what he just did to cintron.. He took cintron's shots and kept coming and pursued his game plan until he reach his goal/stoppage..
I think cotto/margarito would be a fantastic matchup for a June/July card.. Hoping Margarito wins, but if Cotto wins that will only make pressure Mayweather even more to put up his titles for a Cotto bout

Cotto will prevail if he fights Margarito.
As I've said before the only boxer I can see beating Cotto is PBF if they fight this year.
But again time can beat PBF and the more the time passes the better the chances are that Cotto can beat PBF.
I'm not too sure how 154 would suit Cotto being that he's like 5' 7" but I think he beats Forrest and Philips at 154 and a handful of the top guys.

And I love Miguel but Tony is going to KTFO him out.No doubt about it. If Cotto boxes,he'll get trapped on the ropes and destroyed. If he brawls,he'll go the way of Cintron. Tony has fought bigger,taller,slicker guys,faster guys and more importantly,more powerful guys(Cintron sticks out). Had Kermit hit ANYONE else in the whole division with those shots,including Cotto,they would have been out of there. Instead,Tony smiled,took them and wore him out.

I predicted Margarito to beat Cintron. Bu I just can't see Margo winning with Cotto in the ring. Cotto was hurt by fast guys with good boxing ablities (note Cotto was fighting reckless with Torres and leaned his lesson) something Margo doesn't have witch is good boxing and speed. he has power and reach. I'm not saying it will be an easy fight but thinking that Margarito would put Cotto into the ropes thats crazy unless Cotto get caught other than that I see Cotto's jab on Margos face all night every time he tries to go inside. And it gets worse like you say Cotto is open for uppercuts the same for Margo is widely open for Body shots.Quote:

Well,Tony handled Cintron's jab pretty well ;) And Cintron hits harder than Cotto imo. And Margarito will get Cotto on the ropes at some points,if you don't think that,you're crazy!
And I woudn't call Demarcus Corley or Ricardo Torres fast;) Having said that,yo're right, Marg can br hit to the body and if Cotto can start a body attack early,it will slow Tony down late on. The problem is,to land to the body,he's going to have to come inside. Margarito is a monster on the inside. He's taller,bigger and stronger.

i think this will be a really good fight. Everyone talks about cotto-pbf but i think this will be the most entertaining in terms of two great fighters having an all out war!
I like Cotto more than Margarito as a fighter, but am not sure how Cotto would cope with a continuous assault like the one Margarito showed last night.
The only person I think could handle the Margarito that fought last night would be Floyd, only because he does not mind giving the fans a boring fight and would be running the whole first half of the fight and playing safety first.
Cotto has got that pride in him that would lead him into exchanging with Margarito. I dont think there is anyone at 147 that can really hurt Margarito, much less KO him. But I think Margarito could really hurt and wear down Cotto.
This would be a fantastic fight for sure! Fuck Mayweather, let the division move on without him :cool:
this would be a great fight, two tough, proud warriors who work both the head and body. these two are seen as tough fight anyone type guys unlike money mayweather who's so far stayed away from both of them. its tough to call when you break it down but i think cotto might just edge it

Hey Gamo , i think that I'm in disagree with you in this time my friend first , sometimes i asking myself of how and with who Cintron have all of KO that have , because last time with Feliciano he didn't even hurt him and that happened with Margarito in the first fight and the second last night , second , we cant still now remembering the Cottos flaws because he are been getting much better since his last 6 fights and also is good when you see how a boxer can control his fight and focus when feel Wobble and how his chin assimilate , but he are getting better his defense very good now , but ask yourself of how Margarito can control his fight when is in a bad situation and when feel Wobble? i have bet for Cotto in the past but how the hell is he going beat Tony, the guy took everything Cintron had and didnt even flinch. Ano Cottos boxing skill have improved but Marg will walk through whatever Cotto throws at him. His jab aint gonna be able to keep Tony at bay and i doubt Cotto will be able to take too many shots himself.

Margarito has a hell of a chin but let's see how his ribs like being tickled by a Miguel Cotto left hook.....once he's done puking on the canvas and being counted out we'll make sure to ask him
