unpopular opinions that you have.
in this thread i want people to state unpopular opinions they have about boxing without the fear of being sad click.
mine would be that if PBF was still at 130 he would beat barrera morales JMM and PAC. most people say i'm crazy but thats just the way i feel.

I don't give a shit if I get sadclicked or not, Cotto beat Chop down into taking a knee. How 'bout that one? ;)
Also, I like Floyd, but an Erik Morales beater the man is not. Pac & Barrera? Maybe Pac but you have to also take into accord that when those two names (Morales & Barrera) got near him in the division & rankings...Floyd moved up to face nobodies. Hmmmmmm...nope. Sadclick me all you want. Morales would eat Floyd for lunch.

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Holyfield was the greatest heavweight of the last 25 years, by a fairly large distance ;)
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Its hard for me to see how Ali's style would of worked against someone of Lewis's style, size, and power.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Joe Louis would be a champ in any era, Lennox Lewis is more dominant than most of us give him credit for. Foreman would have had a much more brilliant career had he not fought Ali the way he did, and may have never lost to Ali had they fought in the states. Tyson would be no one if he was coming up in the 90's instead of the 80's. Hagler would have KO'd Bernard, but if they fought a rematch Hopkins would have him figured out and win. B Hop would not have stood a chance against Hearns though, just something about old Tommy. B Hop could have beaten Roy Jones in a rematch any time in the last 10 years easily.
I could go on but oh well :)

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Sugar Shane Mosley is the best 147 pound fighter in the world. I Know he could be PBF, ZAB, and ZOO, He had a hard time at 154 because of Winky and I will always stand by my word that Shane Mosley would KO Tito.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
I feel it Prince Naz was Still boxing, he would beat anybody in his weight class besides Barrer.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
mike tyson was shockingly ovverated
everyone needs to leave kiltchko alone, hes better than you all think
everyone needs to stop comparing out heavyweight to previous boxers, "who in their prime could have beaten anyone"

Couldn't see Naz beating Morales, are we allowed to comment on these or we just seeing who thinks what ??? LOL
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
i think naz would be morales.
naz has a unique style, something moales wouldnt be able to adapt to
i take nothing away form erik, a fatastic fighter and very exctiting to watch
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
I think your underestimating Morales boxing skills, Morales is on par with Barrera when it comes to boxing, I think Morales would of took NAZ's shots and even mixed it up more than what Barrera did to NAZ.
Morales's combo's and faints are some of the best I have ever seen, He would of beat NAZ definately.
Pac has got a weird style, it totally dazzled Barrera, Morales dealt with it really well I think !!
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
paq has a weird style yes, but there was a load of controversy over the gloves.
morales chose a softer glove (as you could against paq) manny's team claimed that had the gloves been firmer paq would ahve been able to KO Erik with no problem.
i think the words used were "like wearing cushions on your hands"
but then again they would say that wouldnt they
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
After watching Kevin Kelley damn near end Naz mania, I don't think he would have fared very well against those dynamite of Pac, Erik's nasty streak or of course MAB on any night, his win was soooo freaking one sided.

Doesn't matter what gloves Pac wore it was obvious who was the better boxer out of the 2.
Anyway that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that your saying That Naz would beat Morales, I just could not see that happening.
Morales too fast, chin the best in the business, too skillful, the end !!
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
nah naz would have won anyday. he punched real hard, moved at the speed of light and really put people off their game plan with all the showboating and taunting.
his style was so weird you couldnt look at him and prepare. if you were fighting paw youd think about counterpunches, the defense and crisp headmovement otherwise hed knock your ass out.

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Here's my unpopular opinions,
Mike tyson will become heavyweight champ again
i h8 lennox lewis, total asshole. (well, maybe not too unpopular)
Prime mike tyson was fantastic in his prime. a bit overrated however.
jack johnson couldn't box for shit
Max Baer couldn't box for shit, looked like a total amateur against primo carnera
Evander holyfield in my books isn't so great
Here's the big one,
Joe louis wouldn't beat the giants of today, maybe a bit overatted.
I don't know, the first time i saw him fight i thought he was a bum. (not now obiviously)
His bum of the month opposition didn't help neither, but great achievement all in all.
I don't think he would of beaten mike tyson, and this is my last one....
Mike tyson would of beaten rocky marciano, max baer, jersey joe walcott, jack dempsey and joe frazier and maybe beat lewis and ali in his prime.
I know for a fact i'll get sadclicked anyway for this but that's my opinion.
Oh yeah,
Sugar ray robinson was fuckin awesome! ;D

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
#1: I think that Hopkins is one of the greatest middleweight champions of my time.
#2: I think that Sturm is going to be one of the greatest middleweight champions of my time.
#3: I think that Cotto is one of the best...errrrrrr...whatever fookin weight he chooses to be. ;)
#4: I think that Wright finally got his dues & I think that all you bitches that made fun of me when I said he was gonna whoop tha livin shat (crawling feces?) outta Tito should praise wacko just one more time!
#5: I think that it is totally fooked up that Northside does'nt support the fact that I like Hopkins, Wright, Taylor, & Sturm all at the same time....I mean....what the fook is that all about.
#6: I think that it's horrible that the vast majority of this forum frown's on my drunken round by rounds...when I do my very best to cover every single...waitaminute...excuse me...I gotta go grab my sip...now...what was I saying?
Nevermind bitches...I just like's to hear myself talk! :beerchug:

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Also...I completely with every single inch of me despise Sugar Ray Leonard. I think he's a punk.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
sugar ray leonard is the man! Shows the true greatness of boxing.
infact the whole fabulous 4 are all terrific.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
I would say that Oscar de la Hoya, regardless of his great boxing skills, was/is coddled and super-built-up by the media..... but I won't. I'm STILL plucking poison darts out of my ass from the last time I got into that one.

I love Oscar...always have, always will...but I do agree...he has made quite a media honey of himself...but then again...that's what it's all about...reaching the peak.
I get the same treatment that you get...cept I get it on Tito...
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...did'nt I pick Winky to beat Tito?
Hello? Is anyone out there? Ahhhhhhhhhhh...that's nice. I think I just heard a fookin mouse fart & blow dust outta his ass.
-

Hey, don't look at me. Â I came back after the Tito fight and took my beating like a man. Â Hell, I've even kept my nickname, as a badge of honor. Â But yeah, there's nothing wrong with liking one fighter and disliking another. Â You love Oscar and not Tito. Â I love Tito and not Oscar. Â In the words of the great Rodney King... "Why can't we all just get along?" Â (Rodney King, 1994).

Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
Joe Calzaghe if given the chance would of beat Roy Jones
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
i think people need to get off SRL back. even if you think he loss to hagler you have to admit he gave hagler a good fight.
i think joe louis would have got his ass beat by ali and fraizer.
PAC would could probably KO naz if they ever fought
i wish espn classic would show other classic fights instead of showing ali all the fookin time.

You can go ahead & give wacko his "unpopular opinions sadclick".
I'll stand in a field full of cow shat arguing with a fence post over the decision of that fight & it was a gotdam travesty & show of personality that he would'nt give Hagler the match & then chose to run & fight...not stand & be a man.
Fook Ray Leonard.
Hagler was twice the man that he was.
:sadclick: me bitches...I can take it. ;D

It sounds like your describing Superman, moved at the speed of light?
Where is he now?
He didn't stay in the game because he was embarrassed against Barrera and didn't want to get punked again in a prized fight!
It's ridiculous to hear you praise a boxer and tell us what he would do when he doesn't even exist anymore... he's extinct!!
Morales, Barrera, and others aren't, their still around fighting at their best!!
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
He didn't move at the speed of light, he couldn't put his first world class opponent off his gameplan. You couldn't look at him and prepare ??? thats exactly what Barrera did, and totally changed how he normally fights in the process.
He also had one of the worst defences going, his balance was poor at times, he got knocked down by journeymen and past their best fighters who weren't really good to begin with. If he couldn't knock you out he looked poor check out the Mcoullough and Soto fights, he lost his first major big time fight in a 1 sided boxing lesson were he got humilated then went back to fighting bums, had 1 last fight were he looked really poor and got booed by his own fans then disappeared.
Look at Morales career then look at Naz's, huge difference !!
-
Here I go....
#1) Roy Jones overrated he has fought nobody's his whole career, when he steps up and fights better fighter's he gets knocked the f*** out.
#2) PBF overrated has fought nobody's, running away from Morales & Barrera now hopefully he will begin to fight better fighters one day.
#3) We need to stop marking up and coming prospects as the next BIG thing and comparing them to other greats, the only thing we are doing is ruining them WE hype them up take them up, then they loose and we just kick them to the curb. I myself are guilty of this but after this last one I said I wouldn't do this anymore, it happened with Francisco "Panchito" Bojado, I talked to everyone about him, went to most of his fights hoping to one day say I was there since the beginning saying he was going to be the greatest ever, kid took a loss then another loss to Jesse james leija ain't seen him since. I think we should all wait about a good 20-something fights into a fighters carrier before we say "HE IS THE NEXT BIG THING".
Now Bring on your comment's. I'm ready....
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
hey i'm a huge bojado fan also.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
TYson is the greatest Heavyweight boxer of all time
He will be unbeaten nowadays without Don King and with Cus Damato (Ok, this one is a little bit exagerated) :-)
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
"Boxer" you sure are a diehard PBF fan. But BABABOOEY must admit, he feels PBF would beat all those guys too, just cuz he's too darn fast for them.
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
For some seriously unpopular opinions please see pages 2 & 3 of the "Dream Bout: GEORGE FOREMAN VS. LENNOX LEWIS: IN THEIR PRIMES, WHO WOULD WIN?" thread.
Lyle & R. Marsh are fightin like two prison she-males over a pin-up calender of Brad Pitt. Yowch! Cat fight!!! ;D
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
LOL wacko that was too much.
:coolclick:
-
Re: unpopular opinions that you have.
IMO Hagler didn't lose the fight with Leonard. May not be unpopular with everyone.
