Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
It's bad enough when you come into the ring prancing and dancing, or wearing ridiculous costumes... making an a** out of yourself. But if you should happen to lose, welllllll.... that makes it a whole lot worse and humiliating. Camacho and Naseem are the most outlandish entrances that come to mind. Anyone else?
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Naseem just tried copying Eubank all the time.
Eubank's entrance against Collins was cool, and we all know what followed :(

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a lo
in recent times...marcus beyer v green I. beyer was introduced on stage by a rock band who played an entire song for him to dance to for 3 mins. he then got knocked down three times in two rounds.
coorleys crazy head gear... then beaten by cotto.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a lo
Appolo Creed entrance in Rocky 1 & 4 :-)
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
the spinks concert before the judah rematch.
naz came in on a magic carpet
definetly apollo creed in rocky 4.
also that mask chop chop had on before the cotto fight was just plain scary.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
I was going to mention both of them ........ the spinks one was funny as, I was so happy he got beat after all that shit infront of his own fans.
That thing chop chop had on his head was something you would see shitknot wearing.
Freaky as fuck ....LOL ;D

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
You stole my answer "Boxer". Spinks definitely takes the crown.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
I would have to say Jorge "El Maromero" Paez, not only did he wear costumes. but would cut into his hair to put messages and sign's on his hair, also shorts, boot's anyplace he could find space.
*The famous batman sign on his head. For his first fight in Los Angeles, C.A he put "NO SMOG" we have huge smog problem here.
*The bride dress, The soldier clothes during desert storm war, President Clinton mask, EX-Mexican president Salinas de gortari, on and on and on... To his defense he comes from a circus family, I actually had the chance to see the circus as a little boy in Mexicali, B.C Mexico he was an acrobat hence his nick-name "MAROMERO" which translates to the "SOMERSAULT" which became his trademark to somersault after a fight. Now his age and all the thing's that come with boxing for many years has taken it's toll, if you don't know who I'm talking about look for when he fought Oscar de la Hoya.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Not for nothing "TITOFAN", Trinidad's entrance vs. Hopkins seemed to take forever, with him stopping in the aisles to dance and sing. . . . . . . only to finally enter that ring and get his clock cleaned.

Oops.... for some reason I KNEW that would come up.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Dude, your name is TITOFAN. What else did you expect?
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
But Tito was just being Tito... happy to be there, enjoying the moment and the adulation. Unfortunately, his script didn't have a happy ending. In his defense (not that I'm partial or anything... ;) ), his song and dance had less to do with arrogance and more to do with enjoying himself going into the ring. Whereas some of the other fighters that put on shows seem to do so out of arrogance and self-importance. (Did you buy it?)

I might agree with that...but one thing that really got me...was the whole Wright debacle.
Winky said before the fight: "I'm not that good @ stare downs, but I did'nt come to get into a staring contest, I came to win."
Tito slammed his gloves down on Winky & that would be about the most significant blows he would land against Wright all night long. That did it for me.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
After that...the greatest was the Spinks entrance show. Loved it...especially the end result. Nelly...you are the bomb. What a buncha fookin sell outs! Nelly for Christ's sake!!! Fookin Nelly.
Shoulda got Common...or Wu-Tang...or atleast maybe Inspecta-Deck.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
I thought Vargas' entrance against Tito was pretty outlandish (ie: stone blocks, fire coming out of ground, Aztec warriors, badass pouting mouth, almost spitting water on Tito's face on faceoff). The exit was DEFINITELY different from the entrance.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Tommy Morrison, after partying all night, He comes to ring with the music "Bad to the Bone", and then gets TKO in the first..... Man that sucked.... My jaw dropped man.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a lo
Spinks this Spinks that, he came out with a multi-platinum rap artist and was dancing the 1st fight with Judah. In addition to every other fight he's fought professionally. If you want to bad mouth nelly that's fine by me.
Everyone who knows boxing should've known spinks was going to lose that fight Judah had to much on the line, to much at stake. I called the fight perfectly and was at ringside to watch it all. Most of the people in the arena knew nothing about boxing. They were just blessed that a fighter they ignored throughout his career loved them so much that he worked hard to become champion just to bring them a World Championship fight. He wasn't going to fight a bum and defend it, he never has, you have to respect who he wants to fight and who he fights regardless if you like his style or not.
This was only his 1st clear loss (KO) the other two were either close or called wrong as boxing experts called the 1st Piccirillo fight. His trainer said he didn't want to fight at welterweight that fight because Cory had to lose to much weight to make the fight http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxing_fo...c,13774.0.html.
For everyone who keeps telling me that Cory doesn't hit hard enough to compete at middleweight all I have to say is name one fight in the past 5-6 years were his punching power made a difference. I had to cool click my self for that one :coolclick:. For those who say that Spinks doesn't have the chin to compete at light middle or middle (could possibly be correct) but the fact of the matter is name another fighter who knocked Spinks down let alone out. Now name a fighter that hits harder or has more knockouts than Judah; let's see Mayorga, Diaz, Pineda, Piccirillo, Gonzalez.
The thing with Judah is he hits hard and actually has the speed to rival or better Spinks speed the result for a boxer who's defense is based on seeing punches coming is what. More punches taken on the noggin, Add that to the fact that Zab (who was already rehabbing his career from the Kosta loss) lost to Spinks knew you only get so many chances, and add to the fact that Spinks was weight drained ( I didn't say it and Spinks doesn't make excuses) according to his Trainer. You get a Zab Knockout.
He saw Mayorga's punches coming and brace block or dodge the punch. He would've seen Trinidad's punches (didn't say he would beat him although him and Kevin were sure of it). I knew he would lose just like I know and knew at the same time I predicted the fight that he could definitely win the third fight but was sure it wouldn't happen anytime soon due to common sense ( Cory is to heavy for welterweight Zab would be a fool to not want to try for De La Hoya Mosley or Kosta 1st. The story book finish would have been a rubber match at the MSG where Cory wins another Unanimous Decision ( that should be his nickname).
If you want to see a knockout look out for local St. Louis 19 year old prospect Vaughn Alexander who fights tommorrow by the way (check boxrec.com for fight results. If you want to see great boxing look out for his 18 year old brother Devon Alexander who also fights on the same card. If you want to see the future of boxing keep your ears open for up and coming St. Louis fighters

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Does anyone remember Vernon Forrest's walk in his first fight with Mayorga? He was dancing and singing a rap song, only to get KTFO in less than three rounds..... That was embarrassing

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
The greatest ring entrance ever had to be by 'Mama' Wilson, who stepped into the ring to save her boy Tony from getting beaten up by Steve McCarthy ;)

Wally Swift Jnr decided to do the 'Eubank Jump over the top rope', in his first defence of his British 154lb title against Tony Collins......... his back foot caught the top rope, and he ended slumped on the bottom with his robe over his head! ;)

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a lo
There's one called boxing barmy but it's not exactly great, that's on it tho she hits the guy with her umbrella i think, or her handbag
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
I liked when Naz was coming to the ring on some kind of swing and a guy in the audience threw beer at him. His night went downhill from there.
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Spinks's 6hour entrance in his rematch againsed zab, spinks getting Knocked the fuck out was awsome, nelly could not save him there lol
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Anyone who watched it will never forget Micheal Spinks entrance against Tyson it took him 90 minutes to get into the ring.
Another one that sticks in the memory; How many times did Frank 'Bomber' Bruno cross himself in his entrance to the second Tyson fight? ;)
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
RJJ concert for the crowd was great haha ofcourse he won that fight... and i saw one of the klitchko brothers come after this whole laser show of him... considering his sucks... i found it funny haha
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Naz's entrance to Thriller was awesome, I loved it. HE won of course though.
I actually liked the Spinks concert, I wanted Zab to win though, and I'm glad that he did.
That freakin Klitchko entrance was sh** even though it probably cost money.
There was this guy fighting mike Tyson that came to the ring, and everyone in the audience was whistling, I was thinking what the f***!!!
Jorge Paez, Hector Camacho, I love his entrances, I'd emulate them if I could.
Alexis Arguello's entrance against Aaron Pryor was pretty good, probably the best title fight non champion entrance that's happened. Of Course Arguello got beat though.
Of course Hatton's entrances are good.
Oh yeah um, Bob Sapp's entrance in the fight he lost in 30 seconds ;D
John RUiz vs. David tua.
Naseem hamed vs. Anyone.
and I loved Roy Jones's concert.
Roy Jones against Richard Hall, his defense against Byrd.
Griffin II all those entrances were good.
Some dude had a Matrix entrance(coolclick to anyone who names him)
And Gerald Nobles entrances are hot sometime.

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)

Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Nigel Benns entrance against Michael Watson was quite embarrassing in 1989. he came through this door wearign this silver outfit and the door had Benns Bad on it in Michael Jackson style writing. Oh he lost in the 6th round too
-
Re: Outlandish and/or Embarrassing Ring Entrances (extra pts if followed by a loss)
Was the matrix entrance done by Brian Magee? I'm sure it was.

omfg. funniest thing ive seen in a ring is when i was sparring.
i was in the ring with some new guys, first time sparring. i was only dodging their punches, rolling, parrying etc, not throwing back. after 2 rounds i said i was gonna throw a light jab back to the forehead. they were wearing helmets so its all good.
this guy of about 23 got in the rign with me and thought he was hot stuff. he threw a jab to which i moved around and threw one of my own, hitting him in the forehead. with that he bent down, and rugbytackled me into the turnbuckle and started hurling huge uncontrolled haymakers. I went into my little shell and looked for an opening.
i threw harder jab at his forehead and kncoked him clean off his feet. he got back up kicked me in the shins and ran out the ring.
my coach scott wasnt having any of it, grabbed his as he tried to run and hurled him back into the ring, claiming "you can do whatever you want alex, as long as it hurts"
so i turned him into a human sivv.
well i thought it was funny
