The Assessor of Mayweather Jr. " Leonard Ellerbe " commented in an interview to the journal of NY Post that Miguel Cotto doesn't appear in his list yet , because Cotto isn't enoughly important right now........:-\

Ellerbe quotation about the poor demonstration in the Ratings on (HBO) during the recent defense of Cotto with Gomez , although Ellerbe acknowledged that Miguel Cotto had getting better in each fight and he commented; " I have to say that Miguel Cotto is great boxer that definitely had improve , the Top Rank made a good job in how to find a good fights for him for increase his visibility , but he isn't there yet , for me he isn't at Floyd level ".........:-\
What a stupid thing guys , they commented how good is Cotto right now and then we cant fight him , because he is not at Floyd level......;D

Mayweather and his camp know this that Cotto is a big deal and that people wanna see this fight. They're just planting the seeds right now, getting people talking about how FLoyd is ducking him, and increasing the interest in the fight.

Yet every time I see a new thread pop up, I get sucked into it!!

I've heard about Paris being a drunk bimbo a thousand times.. I've read Floyd ducks Cotto a thousand times.. Yet I still thirst to read more & more. The hunger won't be satisfied until Paris goes to jail, and Floyd fights Cotto..

...floyd and cotto will fight, stop falling for this national enquirer-esque bullshit !!! I've said it a million times floyd fights for money, he could care less about us (the fans), the sport or anything else. It just so happens he's the best at what he does. The big money trail runs right up to cotto's door and floyd knows that. Floyd isn't scared of anything he's just greedy.

Ellerbe has said that about everyone Floyd has foughten... That's their tactic to get the other guy to come to them... If Cotto wants to fight Mayweather which I know he does, he has to come forward... Its on him now. Unlike Margarito the boxing comunity will actually force this fight, and unlike against Margarito who was trying to throw 8 million to fight Mayweather when 20+ million was to be made against Oscar after Mayweather made 8 fighting Baldomir. All Cotto needs to do is capture the boxing, and mainstream media's heart, and then Mayweather-Cotto will happen, hopefully him fighitng Oscar will lead to Mayweather-Cotto.

Why get a heart attack about Floyd fighting for money? I want to see all of us work for a smaller paycheck just for the love of work...YEAH RIGHT!
Sometimes these threads make me want to see Cotto get stepped on by Mayweather and ODLH or a journeyman (some journeymen already made him dance silly in the ring).
Let's see how he does against Margarito. Not the top elite but still a worthy opponent. I can see Cotto winning that one.

Ha ha, i've used this a couple of time with friends of mine, not only pertaining to floyd but sports in general....if floyd (or whoever is being hated on at the time) is so bad, ducks, runs..then what about the thirty some odd fighters he's beaten not to mention those that we don't even mention at the time since cotto is the so called floyd killer of the month. Don't be to quick to insult someone who has beaten or in cotto's case probably will beat in the future. Gotta give leftee big props though, most of the hatton fans i know have broken thier ankles jumping from that bandwagon...at least he sticks with his guy.

Weren't Floyd Mayweather the best fighter in ANY weight division when Hatton fought him ?? Yes he was and Hatton came unstuck, but there's no shame in losing to Floyd as his ability is second to none and Hatton gave his best and thats all you can ask for really, win or lose.
Is Hatton still the #1 at 140 ponds ?? Yes he is and Hatton doesn't duck, he fights ;)

Hatton has great respect for fighting a bigger guy whop is p4p number 1 in the world. Hatton never backed down. Hatton is a smaller poor mans version of Cotto. Cotto's body attack is much more devastating. Cotto's power is much greater. Cotto's speed is greater. Cotto is just what the doctor ordered to take away the zero from Mayweather.

He is complete. He closes distance very fast. He has a great base and great footwork. He throws punches from all angles with accuracy . He lands. And he lands hard. He has the most devastating body attack in the ring today. I think he can physically hurt Floyd worse than he has ever been.

Hell No!!! How do you consider a fighter having his 2nd fight at that weight, the 2nd best? Especially seeing you got a glimpse already at the type of shot fighter Castillo was when he got a gift desicion against Ngoujou.
There is no way Castillo was legitimately the 2nd best 140lber in the world.. No damn way
